Honestly one of my favorite ice cream places in the area. There usually is a line, but it goes by pretty fast if you're patient -- it gives you time to think about what flavors you're going to get! There are a wide variety of flavors, ranging from your basic chocolate and vanilla and sorbets, to your more tropical flavors like ube and Thai tea. I usually order a scoop of Ube and something else. I love that their ube ice cream is not too sweet, and not too plain. I also love knowing that they source their ube from a local Filipino store in NoVA. The something else that I got last time was cinnamon custard crunch (has nuts). So yummy, so cinnamony, and subtly sweet with a nice crunch. The price for 2 scoops after tax and tip is around $7-8 which is a great price for homemade ice cream! You know it's homemade the faster it melts, so grab napkins. It's pretty clean inside, but be wary that there isn't too much seating inside. There are places to sit around Pentagon Row outside, especially during the summer. Not too sure about seating during winter time since they put out the outdoor skating rink. Nonetheless, whatever season it may be, I highly recommend checking out Mimi's for your post dinner sweet tooth! read more

There's a slight spice from the wasabi peas (chunks and bits) that you feel in your nose balanced with the sweet, creamy icecream.
