Strawberry milk tea boba
James Q.

I got the strawberry milk tea boba. I really liked the variety of options on the menu. The vibe of this place was really fun. There was a lot of great seating for our big group too.

Lemon Ai-Yu With White Pearl & Dirty Brown Sugar Milk Tea w. Pearl

Gong Cha is the OG and there's a reason they're everywhere! Lots of flavor selections, quick service, and good tasting bubble tea. Ordering with the kiosk can be a bit weird because for some reason you can't change sugar or ice level on some drinks, but if you order at the counter the staff can make those modifications for you. I ordered a classic - dirty brown sugar milk tea with boba. The boba was excellent! Not super chewy, but not hard either. Went down easily and tasted great. The brown sugar milk tea tasted like brown sugar, not much to speak on there. Will be here whenever I'm in Rosslyn and have a hankering for bubble tea.

3.5 stars. Surprise! It's like all the other gong Chas. The staff are efficient and the teas taste the same as all the others. But you know what you're getting into. I really enjoyed the peach lychee drink.

Honey Green Tea with Aloe

This Gong Cha location is up to par with other Gong Chas I've been to and made for a great boba stop in the middle of the weekend. There were many drink options with endless possibilities when it comes to modifications and toppings. The shop was bit small with very limited seating. There was an elevated segment of the shop which is meant for floor seating, where you can play various board games like Jenga. Service was rather quick. Orders are taken through a kiosk and it was pretty straightforward when it came to making any modifications to the sugar/ice level and toppings. I ended up ordering honey green tea with some changes to the ice and sugar levels and found it to be pretty solid.

Milk Foam Wintermelon Tea Cold with Grass Jelly and White Pearl

I love coming to this Gong Cha right after eating at Pho 75 for dinner. The contrast of salty pho and sweet boba and the close proximity of both locations keep me coming back for more! This Gong Cha is absolutely amazing minus the fact that they do not have a public bathroom... (I usually go in and out because I all the liquids from the pho broth and large sized boba I drink haha) On the bright side, they have games and little tables you can sit cross cross apple sauce if you come here with friends! This location also serves Momo Mochi donuts and egg waffles!! The aroma fills the space and makes you want to get some. However, I have not fallen yet into the temptation of buying anything except boba. Maybe one day... I have tried Momo mochi donuts elsewhere and they are pretty good depending on the flavor you get! I don't know if it's this location or what, but I always find myself having decision fatigue because it feels like there are SO MANY OPTIONS here compared to other Gong Chas! I've tried several flavors here depending on my mood but there are two that are just absolutely amazing: FRUITY OPTION -Mango Smoothie with White Pearl and Grass Jelly I love the texture of the slush, and mango is just so refreshing. The white pearl and the grass jelly give this one a nice texture. MILKY OPTION -Any tea with Milk Cap and three toppings of choice (I prefer tapioca pearls, lychee jelly, and grass jelly, but if I want something a bit sweeter, I'd add custard) This one is like a DIY. I love swirling the cup and watching the gradient of the milk cap swirl into the tea. I usually do 30% sugar and let the toppings and milk cap help the sweetness. This is a great option if you really want to taste the tea and the toppings. The only downside of not only Ging Cha and most other chains nowadays is that with all these toppings and upgrades, the price of one drink (for large options) inch closer to $10 after tip. As much as I'd love to grab one every day like my college days, boba has turned into a once in a while sort of treat. But maybe that's what makes it so special whenever I get it! Looking for a great spot to catch up with friends and play some games? Gong cha is the place!

Good boba, quick service, and never too crowded inside. If you're lactose intolerant, they offer a selection of non-dairy drinks and plain teas as well (my personal go-to is a plain black tea with tapioca pearls & 100% sweetness).

No complaints about this location I normally go to the Tysons location. This one was just as great! Deff my fave Bubble tea chain

Black Milk Tea with Pudding
Ailun H.

The interior is nice and chill - there is a whole platform with pillows you can sit on criss-cross style and some board games you can play while you enjoy boba and snack on egg waffles. It's well decorated and aesthetic with artificial plant walls! My friend and I came after dinner to catch up and we both got boba and an egg waffle to share. Boba isn't cheap here for sure - Black milk tea with pudding was about $5.50 after tax for the smallest sized drink. I guess that's typical for most places but wow, boba prices have definitely gone up. I got it with 30% sugar which I wasn't a huge fan of. The level of sugar was fine but there's this weird aftertaste that I didn't enjoy - tasted kind of like a sugar substitute. Pudding was a nice touch, though. The egg waffle was $5.99 pre-tax and came out nice and hot. Not the fluffiest egg waffle but it was definitely a delectable treat to share with my friend while catching up. The boba-ristas were pretty rude when I asked to use the bathroom. When I came here last week during the day, the bathroom was closed too so I'm not sure if there is a public bathroom at this location. Overall, not great but not horrible. I'll be down to try something other than milk tea next time.

Oolong Milk Tea

Wasn't expecting too much when I came to this boba place, but they really said "gong cha"! I got the oolong milk tea and they handled all of my modifications. I've also never seen a boba shop where you can order on a screen (makes it easier than having to say everything). They also had nondairy milk options which I have also never seen. The service was very good and all the employees were very friendly. Will definitely keep it on this list!

Love this environment. Came here after a comedy show, and we were served quickly! I ordered a passion fruit green tea with a creme brûlée topping, no ice, and half sugar. I recommend getting no ice if you want more of the drink and less of a watery substance! It's just as good lukewarm as compared to cold in my opinion. The creme brûlée topping was different than I had expected. It was more like a warm caramel creme put on top of the drink. It definitely did not go well with the green tea drink so I wouldn't recommend that combo. I wish the receptionist also provided advice regarding that! When COVID-19 isn't happening, it appears they have small tables where you can hangout, play some of their board games, and sip on boba. It's honestly quite a lovely date or gathering place with friends!

Original milk tea. Quick service and self order with the kiosk. Very delicious and looking forward to coming back!

I love GongCha. Anytime I'm near one I must get their tea. This one the AC must've been broken because it was Hot inside. The employees were nice and you can get a Pokedish on the side if wanted. My tea was perfect like always. Cold peach green tea ^_^

I was curious to try one of their best sellers - monkey bread, and it didn't disapoint. A solid breakfast with on point service before catching the metro to Virginia. They were playing bossa and jazz. I opted for the Aren latte and Indonesian beef rissole. Aren latte: 5/5 Latte with an in-house made Aren (palm sugar from West Java) for that hint of molasses and dark brown sugar This was one of my favorite coffees I've had in a while. There was a delicious coffee taste not overshadowed but rather enhanced by the smoky sweet taste of the Aren. I'll be thinking about this latte for a while. Indonesian beef rissole: 3/5 Batter-like skin rolled in breadcrumbs filled with savory ground halal beef & sautéed vegetables While I've never had this dish before, I googled pictures of what it should look like, and mine seemed to have significantly less meat than it should've. The taste was still delicious and seasoned and hearty, but it was mostly mush with some veggies and hardly any beef. While I thought the rissole was disappointing, I love the aren latte so much I'll still keep the 5 star review.

The restaurant is super cute, with a fun cafe vibe, and it's an easy walk from the waterfront. We ordered the Colada Trio, which came with empanadas, cauliflower sliders, and yuca fries. We also ordered the Platanachos (plantain nachos), which were flavorful and such a fun twist on traditional nachos. They accidentally forgot the cauliflower and mushroom topping, but as soon as I mentioned it, they brought it out right away along with extra sauce. Mistakes happen, but what matters is how a place handles them, and they were incredibly accommodating, which I really appreciated.
