got the banana matcha and it was so good!! the store itself was so cute and is definitely a place i will be going to again. would recommend checking this spot out if you're in the area!

I walked past this place a few times and wanted to try it. When I glipsed through the outside the door, I can only see the paper menu on the door. I was confused to not see a menu on the wall for me to see easily. Turns out there is a paper menu on the counter. Inside: The inside was simple, little decorations, but mostly white surfaces. The vibes I got from this place is that this place opened recently and still haven't renovated it for a Boba place. It is still nice to have seating areas on the window side and tables. Drink: The drinks that I got were the Wintermelon Milk Tea and the Taro Milk Tea. The drinks were okay, I had better from other places. It tasted more artificial than natural. Although I would rate it 6/10, I'd still get a drink here if I were ever to walk by here again. Food: I ordered the brown sugar boba cake since these boba desserts were trendy. The pictures of it looked very delicious. When I got it, it was very disappointing. The cake was dry, the sugar cream glaze was not enough to save it. The boba was decent. With the price I paid, it was definitely not worth it. It is basically a dried sugar cream cake with a little bit of boba. For a dessert to go, the presentation was messy.

I drink milk tea regularly. I've tried all the big chains in the area and many of the independent shops out there in Maryland, DC and Virginia. Let me tell you why this place stood out. First, the menu is printed on a piece of paper, laminated and stuck to the door and at the register. This made it slightly challenging to decide what we wanted as first time patrons. I love an independent shop though. Ultimately, this place has interesting drinks that I haven't seen elsewhere. I ordered a guava milk tea with coconut jelly at 25% sugar and I was in love with this drink! It was so perfect, creamy and lightly flavored. The coconut jelly was the perfect match for this drink and it was cold but didn't have too much ice. I gushed about this drink on my entire ride home, I've never had anything like it! The server was super friendly and didn't rush us with our order. There's some seating in the shop, but though this place is perfect to stop by and grab a drink when you're walking by.

    Love, Rosie with boba

Got the Love, Rosie and spring rolls today. The drink was very Rosie lol but it wasn't bad. They definitely use brewed tea and not the mix, which is cool. The spring rolls were about what you'd expect - nothing crazy. However, for the price, I wouldn't get them again. It's a cute little spot - there's just enough seating. There's retail parking in a small lot, so that's nice. Worth stopping by.

Stopped in today for a Bright Eye & Bushy Tail (Vietnamese coffee) with boba. It was delicious! I'd definitely come back anytime I'm in Alexandria. I was the only customer at the time and service was quick and friendly.

The woman behind the counter was so pleasant even though I came just 10 minutes before close and ordered multiple bubble teas. I ordered a milk latte with boba and a Vietnamese coffee with boba and sea salt crema. Can't forget the sea salt crema!!! Anyway, both were good. The decor is cute, if also a little austere. Both drinks were delicious! There's a small retail parking lot just off to the side, btw, so no paid parking woohoo!

I had a craving for some bubble tea and came across Spill The Tea. I called ahead to place my order while en route, and it was ready when we K arrived. I ordered the That's Taro-Fic milk tea for myself and the Train to Bangkok milk tea for my husband. My taro milk tea was decent (I'd give it a 7/10 - nothing spectacular and not the best I've had but def cured my craving!). My husband said his Thai tea was good. All in all, I'd def return to try other items on their menu like their mango with sticky rice and both the spring and summer rolls.

Lukewarm, mediocre coffee at Starbucks prices. I was the only customer and the cashier made 2 boba teas as I waited for 1 simple coffee to be ready. ...and it was 'made' in the back. Probably reheated day old coffee. First and Last time here.

Was intrigued by their milk tea menu options (and the cute drink names) so decided to give this place a try. Ordered the Tea Time with Kermit (honeydew green milk tea). Not sure if it was because of the green tea but it didn't have a strong honeydew flavor. There wasnt a strong green tea flavor either. Also got the Peach Milk Tea. Asked for 50% sugar on both drinks but this drink was significantly sweeter than the other. Maybe it was the lychee jelly that caused it but it was way too sweet. They were okay. Probably wouldn't be back unless they fix the consistency. Other than that, the staff were friendly and the place was pretty clean. FYI, parking was challenging on a sunday afternoon. There are not alot of spots infront of the shop. Lots of Uber eats with double parking but got lucky with a spot.

I like the boba tea they are really good, ramen I would not recommend it, I think is the ramen that you buy it and microwave it, I don't think they make it there tbh

Cute spot with tasty bubble teas! My go to is usually cake by the ocean @ 50% sweetness with black boba. The actually sweetness sometimes tends to vary based on the barista but I've always enjoyed the teas

My boyfriend and I found this little shop randomly because we were in the mood for bubble tea. We both got milk tea and it was solid. Nothing to complain about. The tea itself is very sweet, so ask for less sweetness if you don't want to feel like you're eating dessert. If you're looking for the bubbles in your bubble tea, when they ask what "toppings" you want, that's when you tell them boba. Otherwise, you'll just get the tea. We would come back next time we're in the area! It's only carry out only at the moment. They're clearly redoing and setting up the inside of the shop. It looks like it's going to be super cute once they're done! Good sized menu, but not overwhelming. Lots of flavors to choose from and they have a small food menu, too.

Surprised to find a boba tea place in Alexandria! Prices are a bit higher than average compared to the other well-known chain places, such as Gong Cha, Share Tea, etc. but it's all about supporting local businesses. I got the brown cow and all the flavorings were there! I just wish everything was a bit stronger. I wanted a stronger tea flavor combined with the milk. I thought the brown sugar complimented well with the drink and the boba was cooked to a perfect texture, but it seemed to lack depth in flavors. Also, they use paper straws, which is a plus for the environment and the sea turtles! You are also able to adjust the sugar levels if needed. I got less sugar and it was just right. The menu did seem a bit small and I wanted to see more of the traditional drinks, such as basic milk teas or fruit teas, but it's a good start!

Are there dairy free tea options?

Yes! Our fruit teas contain no dairy, we use non-dairy creamer for the milk teas, and our Thai tea is mixed with Lactaid.

They do get busy at times, but their drinks are always consistent and the service is pretty fast. I also recently noticed that they use organic milk for their drinks, which made me even more impressed. It's great to see a shop that cares about the quality of ingredients they use. Jay, the owner, always stands behind the quality of his drinks and the service. I've been here multiple times, both to grab drinks to go and to sit and work for a while. It's always a pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend!

This spot was a few doors down from where we had lunch, so I decided to check them out. I saw they had matcha, but no options without milk. So I asked the cashier if I could get an iced matcha made with water instead of milk. I will pay for a version with milk, but I only wanted matcha, water, and the toppings. No milk, no dairy subs, no sweetness. She said she could do this in slush form. I asked what that meant and she said it's just like a slushie made with ice. That's sounded fine so I said go ahead. I got he receipt above, so I made sure to confirm there is no milk, no sugar. Just the matcha, water, and toppings, right? She said yes, so I went over to the seating area to wait. I figured the 10% sweetness and whole milk was something they had to enter into the system for that drink and they made notes to correct it to what I wanted. When I got the drink, it was a milky green, so I was super confused. I asked again, this has no milk and added sweetness, and they said yes. At that point I felt annoying, so I just left with the drink. Unfortunately it did taste milky / creamy so I didn't finish it. The toppings were good tho. It was unfortunately since I really wanted a matcha. I just don't like milk or cream in my teas or coffees. For the milk teas and drinks like that, I'm sure this spot is probably great. I know my request is rather odd for a boba tea spot, so maybe they misunderstood that I just wanted a matcha tea with toppings. I did tip them a dollar on top since they were really nice. But I just wish I got what I ordered. REVIEW #3885
