Great service, the quality of the food was delicious, the portions were big, and the price points made sense. Walked away only spending $30 for a great and filling casual meal! I had the hawiann poke bowl which was perfect!! Really filling and flavorful and delicious. The salmon and tuna were both super fresh. W friend and I also shared the dumpling which were banging! We both also got Taro boba tea. The ice melted a little too quickly which watered the drink down but enjoyable nonetheless. We stumbled upon Taichi while exploring Georgetown and of course I needed to stop in to satisfy my boba craving. Ordered a Mango Green Tea, which is inclusive of boba. I found the drink to be lighter in taste, and the boba to be on the softer end rather than chewy. They also offer ramen and poke here apparently, but we didn't partake. While we only stopped in for boba, but they apparently have a bar area downstairs as well. The main floor as plenty of indoor seating available, and the interior is kept very well-lit and clean. Stopped by this spot in Georgetown for a bubble tea fix after lunch and went with my usual classic milk tea. The tea itself was excellent--bold flavor, the right creaminess, and a well-balanced sweetness. One small surprise--it was made with Jasmine tea instead of the usual black tea. While I personally prefer a classic black tea base, Jasmine tea lovers will really enjoy it. Regardless, it was well-prepared and high quality. We stopped here for boba. The restaurant is fairly new and was clean inside with several tables including some tables in the space downstairs. We ordered and the cashier was very nice and took out order. They do customize sweetness which is nice. I ordered a large mango green tea with 25% sweetness and my boyfriend had a tai chi brown sugar boba 25% sweet. We waited for our drinks. Watched them get made. And watched them sit at the sealing machine, completed, for 5 minutes before they called it out as ready. We watched them make 4 other drinks, before they came back to pass along our drinks. The drinks were ok. The boba had good texture. Even though we got 25% sweet, both drinks were still fairly sweet. Neither was to write home about. My sister ordered the brown sugar fresh milk and she said it wasn't good, either. I ordered the strawberry Infruitea and it tasted like strawberry water from Starbucks with a few single slices of citrus fruits (one slice of orange, one slice of lemon, and one sliced of lime). They have most of the classic fruity and milk tea flavors, with a small smattering of unique flavors like honey pomelo or lemon kumquat. I especially love their selection of fresh fruit in tea (note that you can only get these in the large size, so they will be a little pricier), and will usually opt for one of those with aloe jelly. Unfortunately, all of their flavors are syrups, so it's not possible to get 0% sugar unless you're just getting the plain tea; also, if you order on UberEats or any other third-party delivery app, you aren't able to change the sugar level at all. Their service is efficient and friendly, and the store has a really nice vibe, with the wooden walls and green furniture making everything feel a little bit more natural and sleek. This was a pretty cool bubble tea spot in the Georgetown area. Not a huge spot, quaint with a few wooden tables, more of a grab and go location. They do have a pretty captivating mechanical ramen bowl sign the in front window that seems to catch everyone's attention especially kids as you walk by. They have an expansive selection of bubble teas, milk teas, as well as lemon and fruit tea's in various flavors with the options being small (17oz) to large (24oz). I was also pleasantly surprised to see they had food items with several different ramen bowl soup base options with your choice of pork, chicken, shrimp or tofu (priced around $16) as well as sushi options such as burritos and poke bowls (priced around $15). I ordered a mango green tea and the shoyu ramen with shrimp. Service was solid and the wait for the dish was brief. I kept it simple without all the add-ons because I wanted to see how good the broth base would be since thats usually a positive sign for a good ramen bowl. All in all really enjoyable, the tea was light and refreshing not too sweet and the ramen dish was excellent, fresh tasting ingredients, the broth was hot and flavorful, and the shrimp were steamed perfectly. And of course as I'm leaving out I discover there's an entire bar area hidden downstairs, I'll have to return to provide an update on that next. There aren't many bubble tea places in the district for some reason, so I was very happy to try this one located in Georgetown. I ordered a large lemon peach tea. Cute bubble tea place in Georgetown. It's near a lot of other stores and very centrally located. The bubble tea was pretty expensive, which is kind of par for the course in Washington. The place was really clean and spacious with two levels. When I went in, it wasn't busy at all and they got my drink ready quickly; this was at around 4 PM on a Friday. I got just the standard milk tea with boba- it was very sweet and had kind of a soapy taste!
