Matcha with Fresh Milk
Ashley J.

Heard this was THE boba place to try in Chinatown. The spot is cute but can get crowded quickly. You order via kiosk which is nice because you can do all your preferences for sweetness, ice, types of bubbles, etc. I got a matcha latte but was disappointed the only special matcha type they had was red bean. I was hoping for a fruity add on to it. Came out quickly and the staff behind the counter was nice. The tapioca bubbles were a little tougher than the king fu tea I had ordered earlier in the day and this place was a little pricier too.

Milk tea and kiwi fruit tea w/ aiyu jelly

Great staff and an even better selection of boba, tea, iced, etc. The kiwi fruit tea with aiyu jelly was my favorite; make sure to get a loyalty card for stamps! It can get a bit cramped inside ordering if it gets busy, but this is one of the best bubble tea places over ever gone to. As a bonus, you can also swap sugar for honey as a sweetener which is something you don't normally see!

My daughters were craving a boba tea. I looked up on Yelp and found this place getting a great review. This place is one block off from Capital One arena. The shop is located at the basement level. I got an NYC vibe. You can order from the mobile app or touch screen at the shop. I like this place because you can select how much sugar and many kinds of bubbles. My daughters had Green milk tea and I had a coffee milk tea. I am crazy about the very sweet formed milk on the top, but the quality of the tea is very decent. I will definitely come back to this place.

Step up your boba game by stepping down into this boba shop. Dragon Ball Z and Pokemon pictures decorate the stairs and walls of this shop. Staff is helpful, and there are touch screens that you can use to order, too. Boba was tasty, too!

What can I say... it has everything the ShareTea in San Jose has including my fav aiyu jelly!!!! Stuck to my regular drink - peach kiwi with aiyu, 50% sweet, no ice. Tasted as it should, the way I like it.

Tiny milk tea shop with no seating inside. Ordered a real taro milk slush and the taro was in chunky hard pieces. Small pieces but wished for a more cooked and smooth texture. Not bad though. Conveniently located in Chinatown near the CapOne Arena!

Had a long wait time to a new Sushi spot that is down the street, so we decided to get some bubble tea on a hot, summer day. Just got the Hawaii Drink and it was very refreshing and sweet. Deff hit the spot. Wait time was very exceptional, had to order and buy your drink via online due to COVID.

Order: - Oolong Fresh Milk Tea with Pearls(4/5) - Passion Fruit Green Tea with Lychee Jelly (4/5) Pros: - Tasty drinks - Lots of options to choose from - Quick service Cons: - Must order online or through the app - No seating Overall: - Great bubble tea spot to grab a drink at while walking through DC

Great tasting bubble tea with options to customize your preference for the level of ice and sweetness. You can also add toppings. I was surprised to see how big the portion size was. Currently they are not taking walk-in orders. You have to place your orders online. It took longer than the ten to fifteen minutes that we were told for our order of three to be prepared, but it was worth the wait if you have a hankering for it. Lol

One of the few bubble tea establishments in DC Chinatown. It is a very small space, slightly hidden (need to walk down a few steps) a block away from the Chinatown Arch on H Street. There is no seating inside. There are two kiosks at the counter where you can place your order. We ordered the Tropical Fruit Tea and Boba with Fresh Milk. Both drinks were very good. The Tropical Fruit Tea was very refreshing, and the Boba with Fresh Milk hit the spot!

Came here for after dinner drinks. Got a classic black boba tea. Very standard as far as tea joint goes. Good tea taste. Nothing special about the boba. I got the tropical fruit tea. It taste orangy and my son who is super picky enjoyed it. The only thing i didnt like was that there is only one standard size for the drinks. It was late when we got them and i would have prefer a smaller size

Matcha Green Tea Creama Strawberry Ice Blended with Lychee Jelly and Ice Cream
maika k.

* 8.5/10 * Since dessert is MANDATORY after any meal of that matter, we chose to get some boba. The Strawberry ice blended boba with lychee jelly and ice cream was the perfect mix of flavors. We were glad that they had DF milk options such as almond milk, which was our milk substitute for the matcha creama. We enjoyed both bobas and would come back again! ^@kamibites on Instagram

Do they allow you to reuse the boba cup, like bring in an already used cup? (So there is no waste)

We are temporarily not accepting customer’s own cup due to Covid-19. Of course, we will accept after this battle is over. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Do they have any vegan/plant based milk options?

Some drinks can use almond milk as alternative. But we use non-dairy creamer for most of the milk tea. Thank you for your question.

Could you create a vegan bubble tea (soy or nut milk)?

We don't recommend those boba, and we don't carry those. Thank you.

Do they have brown sugar boba with fresh milk?

Yes, we do. We call it Boba Fresh Milk. Thank you!

Does anyone know if Sharetea accepts reusable Bubble tea containers? Like if I bring in my own glass bubble tea cup to fill instead of using their plastic cups.

Yes! I asked the cashier and he confirmed that they will accept reusable cups.

Can i just buy a cup of boba?

Just the bubbles? Why? Maybe you can ask them to put tea and bubbles separately...let us know if you could!

Hopefully, early June. Thank you.

I tried to find this place because I was craving bubble tea but i couldn't find it and the address led to a law office. So not sure if it is closed or the address is wrong...?

Hi Alison and Charlie, sorry for disappointing you. Our store is not open yet. The estimate will be late April. Please visit our Facebook page (Sharetea DC Chinatown) for latest updates. We look forward to seeing you very soon!

Where is this Sharetea? I went to this address and found no boba place in the vicinity. This location is also not listed on the website. Very curious how the reviewer was able to "check in."

Julie, the address is correct. Sharetea is still under construction. Thank you!

Famous Chef Thomas Reviews: Dolcezza (Washington, DC)…read more The Famous Chef Thomas visited Dolcezza in Washington, DC, expecting a proper café experience, especially at the prices being charged. When a place is asking $4 to $7 for tea or a latte, there is an obligation to deliver something above the level of a bargain counter operation. Instead, the Famous Chef Thomas was handed a tea cup with the tea bag resting on top, wasting valuable brewing time and shifting the work onto the customer like some cheap do-it-yourself setup. That may be understandable at McDonald's for $1.79, but at Dolcezza it is unacceptable. At these prices, the worker should have already put the tea bag in the cup, added the honey, and served a finished product with care. Do not charge premium café prices and then behave like preparation is somehow the customer's responsibility. And to casually tell the customer that the honey is over at the stand only adds insult to laziness. Hospitality is not pointing. Hospitality is serving. What makes it worse is that this place has clearly declined from where it was when it first opened years ago. The standards are slipping, and it shows in more than one way. The table was dirty, and because this visit was early in the morning, that dirt had to be left over from the previous day. That is not a small oversight. That is evidence of poor closeout, poor maintenance, and weak attention to detail. Then came the final insult: too many bugs. The Famous Chef Thomas had to kill them or dodge them just to sit there, which made it impossible to enjoy the experience without feeling like he was in a battle against being bitten. A café cannot expect customers to relax, sip tea, and enjoy themselves while swatting pests away from the table. Dolcezza is charging as if it still deserves a premium reputation, but the service, cleanliness, and overall execution no longer support it. Premium prices require premium standards. The Famous Chef Thomas did not receive them here. The verdict: lazy service, dirty conditions, bugs, and a café experience that has fallen far below its old standard. The Famous Chef Thomas is not impressed
