I liked the kiosk so I could see the different drink options and descriptions. I was able to use tap to pay on the kiosk and my drinks were ready in a few minutes. I got taro root milk tea which I did not like. It was not flavored at all. The taro root felt like shredded coconut when I drank it and it was not a good sensation. The strawberry tea with Mano bursts was good.

Tiger Sugar is usually a slam dunk for me but I was disappointed on my recent visit to this location. The boba was way overcooked and mushy, to the point that I didn't even finish my drink. The passionfruit oolong may have been fine but it's hard to tell because the texture of the boba threw the whole thing off for me. Definitely a bummer since the food hall seems cool and I was excited to see a Tiger Sugar there.

Excellent, excellent oolong! The friendly woman at the counter asked how I wanted the drink customized, and it came exactly as promised: a little less sweet with the perfect quantity of brown sugar boba. It was my first time trying anything at the Bryant Street Market, but I'm inspired to visit again. My friend and I both loved our bubble teas, and we enjoyed comfortable patio. I ordered 2 drinks for delivery, so I'm not too sure about the service or ambiance of the shop. 1. Brown sugar boba + pearl w/ cream mousse (less sugar): great when you have a sweet tooth. Sweet, but not too sweet. Creamy, but not too heavy. 2. Mango green tea w/ jelly: great, but tastes more like mango than like tea. Good if you want something sweet but refreshing. Overall, the drinks were almost as good as the drinks I had in the tiger sugar spots in Asia. Definitely recommend!

Tiger Sugar is located in the Bryant St Market in the Edgewood neighborhood. I ordered at a kiosk and my drinks were ready quickly: Tiger Sugar coffee with boba and jelly and Mango tea with boba and aloe. I liked that you could adjust the sugar level. The flavors were good and the boba was nice and chewy.

Okay so this place is located in a food hall with other eateries nearby. I came in craving a bubble tea and was excited about the menu options. I opted for the signature tiger, which is a black sugar boba milk with pearls and cream mousse. Overall it tasted good and satisfied my craving but I wasn't a fan of the actual boba pearls. Something was off about the size and texture that I'm used to. They were smaller and softer than other bubble teas I've had and the pearls weren't very sweet. If I come back I won't order pearls in my drink. My husband liked his drink the Green Tea Latte Brown Sugar Boba Cream Mousse. It was not overly sweet but he had the same issue with the pearls.

One of my favorite boba spots in DC. Something about those tiny boba pearls just really get me. The drinks are made perfectly each time. I don't love having to order from the computer (I love human connection) but the drinks are so good that I can't complain. Can't wait to make my way thru the entire menu!

There's good boba in NE!!! While Tiger Sugar is not in my top 5 boba brands, it's still more than acceptable and I'm happy it's in the neighborhood After their soft open, their full menu is now available I've enjoyed a few cups since they've opened and enjoy the teas more. The number 1 is their tried and true and includes both small and large tapioca pearls. It's tasty and not too sweet, which is my presence. The brown sugar is definitely strong, but it's nice. I enjoy drinking the ones with a more prominent tea flavor, so I typically order oolong, black, or green tea with cheese foam with boba. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star rating is the boba isn't quite as chewy as it should be, but it's def not mushy! They're also prepping to offer soft serve!!!!! DC lacks many soft serve options, so I'm glad they're making it available. P.S. They call the small pearls tapioca and the large ones boba, and I always make sure to only get the boba bc I like the chew. P.S.S. Get a reusable boba straw! I bring mine along with me to reduce waste.

We tried both the black tea with brown sugar and the strawberry tea. I liked the strawberry despite not normally liking fruit teas. I normally get Thai tea and was disappointed it wasn't on the menu but I thought the traditional black tea with boba was pretty good with oat milk.

Thrilled to finally have a boba place in our neighborhood! I walked up to the touch screen kiosk to order a signature #1- black sugar boba milk and pearl with cream mousse. Options for oat milk and less ice are available; however, less sweet is not. This is my first Tiger Sugar boba and at first I thought it was too sweet but when the ice melted, it was perfect. The order came with both pearl and boba. Pearl tastes just like boba tapioca balls but they are smaller is size and softer. The large boba balls have a pretty good consistency- not too soft and just chewy enough. The milk tea is balanced in bitter and sweetness. I enjoyed the deep caramel taste. The slight bitterness is crave-able. I can't wait to try the other flavors coming soon!

I went here with my friend who's never had boba tea!! living under a rock so we got a few!.. The customer service could've used a little help! a little interaction, maybe suggesting something being welcoming , have you been here before tried boba tea! Like something!! may I suggest . Instead of you order over there , make the drink get your ticket and be out !. The ambiance is cute! The colors pair well . So a 3 it is the Brown Sugar Espresso which was more coffee than brown sugar as my friend thought it'd be. I got the Chocolate Malt which was amaaaaazing. I'd definitely get it again.

Got the red bean fresh milk and the mango sago. Both very good drinks, not too sweet. The interior was clean and the workers were nice

Famous Chef Thomas Reviews: Dolcezza (Washington, DC)…read more The Famous Chef Thomas visited Dolcezza in Washington, DC, expecting a proper café experience, especially at the prices being charged. When a place is asking $4 to $7 for tea or a latte, there is an obligation to deliver something above the level of a bargain counter operation. Instead, the Famous Chef Thomas was handed a tea cup with the tea bag resting on top, wasting valuable brewing time and shifting the work onto the customer like some cheap do-it-yourself setup. That may be understandable at McDonald's for $1.79, but at Dolcezza it is unacceptable. At these prices, the worker should have already put the tea bag in the cup, added the honey, and served a finished product with care. Do not charge premium café prices and then behave like preparation is somehow the customer's responsibility. And to casually tell the customer that the honey is over at the stand only adds insult to laziness. Hospitality is not pointing. Hospitality is serving. What makes it worse is that this place has clearly declined from where it was when it first opened years ago. The standards are slipping, and it shows in more than one way. The table was dirty, and because this visit was early in the morning, that dirt had to be left over from the previous day. That is not a small oversight. That is evidence of poor closeout, poor maintenance, and weak attention to detail. Then came the final insult: too many bugs. The Famous Chef Thomas had to kill them or dodge them just to sit there, which made it impossible to enjoy the experience without feeling like he was in a battle against being bitten. A café cannot expect customers to relax, sip tea, and enjoy themselves while swatting pests away from the table. Dolcezza is charging as if it still deserves a premium reputation, but the service, cleanliness, and overall execution no longer support it. Premium prices require premium standards. The Famous Chef Thomas did not receive them here. The verdict: lazy service, dirty conditions, bugs, and a café experience that has fallen far below its old standard. The Famous Chef Thomas is not impressed
