Delicious and much needed ice cream spot in La Cosecha. I tried and loveddddd the dulce de leche flavor. I wish there were smaller options as the portions are super big and because of that kind of pricey. But the ice cream is delicious and I love the location!

    Great for sharing!

Soooo good! One of my favorite frozen yogurt place! Unique flavors and toppings! Must try all the flavors!! Generous portions, so definitely shareable. If you're about supporting small vendors, and I am, this is a must try! Right now during the World Cup ALL vendors, especially this one should open late late because the place is packed on good game nights like last night. I wish the hours were late late on event nights. It's probably best it isn't for my waist line tho!! lol my favorite flavors anything with chocolate! Friendly staff.

The pina colada soft serve from Frio Frio is a fun, refreshing dessert option inside La Cosecha. The presentation is great and it hits the spot on a hot day.

Frio Frio is the perfect addition to La Cosecha for a post dinner treat! While there are other ice cream shops near by Frio Frio offers something different with a variety of innovative soft serve combinations and toppings. I tried their guava cheesecake soft serve which comes with granola, guava jam topping, and biscoff sand. It SLAPPED. Perfect flavor combo and decadent without being overly sweet. Cup size was the perfect amount. Cost comes in at ~$10 for a cup which is about on par with other premium ice cream shops in the area. Excited to try the many fun flavor combibations on the menu and you can make your own too!

During these hot days in DC, Frio Frio has been enjoying a warm welcome inside La Cosecha over the last several weeks. They told me they recently sold out over a nice weekend. There are plenty of icy treat options around Union Market, but the soft serve plus toppings help Frio Frio stand out. The menu captures the tropical vibe. All the soft serve options sound really yummy. They do allow you to try samples (spoon of soft serve plus topping!) if you're indecisive. After trying the Piña Colada and Guava Cheesecake, I chose the Guava Cheesecake because I was looking for something creamy and fruity. I was told it was one of the most popular picks. This was so refreshing on 80 degree evening. Along with the soft serve and guava jam, you get the crunchiness and crumbs of granola and butter cookie. They're both amazing toppings on top of the guava and cheesecake flavors. If you're not feeling anything on the menu, they have a build your own cup option, too. I saw some people with the Frio Frio cups when I was in the neighborhood over the weekend and I'm so happy I got to finally try it. If you're in Union Market for lunch or dinner, save room for Frio Frio.

This was such a cute little ice cream shop! They had pre made sundaes to choose from, or you can make your own. It is a big sundae, so be prepared to eat or share! I got the pina colada sundae and loved it!! It is very coconut forward since the ice cream is coconut, but that is the way I like it!

I've been wanting to try Frio Frio but I'm usually in La Cosecha early morning before they open. Today I was able to visit around lunch time and was blown away. Someone had mentioned that the frozen yogurt was good but I wasn't prepared for how good it would be. I had the Tropical Madness. It's a mango flavored soft serve with mango puree, blueberries, and strawberries. It was delicious! The portion was very generous for $10. It's the type of dessert that could be a good "dessert for dinner" type of meal. The Tropical Madness is vegan and dairy free so I didn't feet sick or heavy after eating it. I sat inside of La Cosecha and enjoyed the beautiful interior. The murals are stunning. Service was quick and efficient. I will definitely be back to try the other flavors. Although, the Tropical Madness might be my go to order.

Super delicious and will be back! Very unique flavors that you can't find anywhere else in the city. Prepare for a wait because the line did take about 15 minutes with not tooooo many people in front of us, but worth the wait. Will come back!

The flavors here are outstanding and creative. The ingredients are fresh and the combinations are refreshing for the summer heat. It is nice that they have dairy free options as well! The staff was very kind and efficient even when the lines were long!

We could tell that they had all the families with little kids grouped to one side of the restaurant, and we felt that was clever and convenient. The food was great! We both got salads. I loved the snap pea chicken salad. And my husband really liked the soba noodle salmon salad. He had a Bloody Mary, and I had a yummy mocktail. Everything was great, including the service!

If that Coke wasn't a Pepsi, it was definitely a Coke Zero or Diet Coke. It tasted awful. Now, the food. The fries were pretty decent, but the au jus that came with my French dip wasn't hot, and it wasn't enough for the whole sandwich. The bread is supposed to get lost in the au jus with every bite. I had to ask for another boat. The menu said the sandwich had Gruyère, but if it was there, I couldn't taste it. I could taste horseradish and arugula. It wasn't worth the $33 menu price. The ambiance is a bit loud. The restaurant is very reverb-y, so I heard lots of talking (though some of it was probably due to the music's being too loud), but the waitstaff didn't compensate, so it was hard to hear their voices.

The cafe itself is huge, absolutely beautiful, and was packed when I visited. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, so it's a great spot whether you're meeting friends or getting some work done. The pastry case also looked incredible, I had such a hard time choosing, and I'll definitely be back to try more. I ordered a matcha, and I really appreciated that it wasn't pre-sweetened. It was creamy, earthy, and let the matcha shine. If you like your matcha a little sweeter, I'd recommend adding their in-house pistachio syrup. The only small downside was that it seemed like they use matcha concentrate that's prepared in advance rather than whisking each drink fresh. It was still good, but I do prefer freshly whisked matcha. Even with that, I'd absolutely come back. Their menu is extensive, everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious, and the whole space has such a welcoming vibe. Also, take a minute to read the story behind the name "Tatte." It seemed the valet used the street for parking as well given the double parked cars blocking me in as I tried to leave. I had called to make a reservation in advance as the reservation site noted no availability for some reason. No issues with checking in and being seated in a timely manner, even showing up a little early in our case. The restaurant was very open and elegant, situated alongside the Riggs Hotel which has some hidden history to discover. Our server, Clemente, was phenomenal. Very attentive, not overbearing, and answered all our questions. My wife and I split a salad that we loved although felt it could have been more flavorful. It was missing something that we couldn't pinpoint whether it was croutons, tomatoes, etc although we still enjoyed it. I had the Steak Frites which came with french fries and I swapped for creamed spinach that was so delicious. My wife who isn't a fan of creamed spinach ended up eating a good portion. We ordered a side of brussel sprouts that was also good, a little sweet, but well flavored. We followed dinner up with coffee that hit the spot, along with a chocolate dessert that Clemente brought to celebrate our anniversary. It was a lovely evening thanks to Clemente and the team. We will definitely return for another experience.
