    Strawberry passion smoothie

South Block is located inside of union market food hall. I ordered the strawberry passion smoothie, overall solid smoothie with a great taste.

Delicious smoothie, pretty reasonably priced. They have vegetarian protein, collagen, and whey protein additives you can choose from. The strawberry cloud smoothie was delicious. I loved the coco whip. Service was quick, you can order on the iPad in the front.

Tried the strawberry cloud smoothie -- allegedly an intended dupe for the Erehwon Hailey Bieber smoothie. It doesnt fully live up to that hype, but it is a great smoothie and a solid East Coast option if you're craving it!

I found it helpful that there was a juice bar at Union Market because my stomach was not in great shape for solid food. The bowl I got here satisfied, but didn't quite fill the container. For the price, I could have done better at home. The menu also isn't broad; most of these places, even if focused on fruit-based creations, offer a little more variety.

Behind on my reviews again, but had to shout this one out -- I loved the açaí here. Not too sweet and so good I went back for it twice while I was in DC! They also have smoothies that are basically Erewhon dupes.

Purchased a mango mania and subbed the bananas for strawberries-- 20/10. So refreshing and delicious. It is also a fairly large portion, I could barely finish. I love a smoothie place that doesn't add 18822928 dairy products. This is a real smoothie and I will be back!

I've patronized this location many times and the last time I went will for sure be the final time. Ordered my smoothie bowl through the app. Went to pickup dark long haired employee bumped me and didn't apologize . Picked my order up went home saw it didn't look right went back and said excuse me 5 times and was ignored till finally was helped. They offered to remake it and was in the process when the same girl that bumped me earlier gonna say "you paying for something" instead of saying hey have you been helped or picking up" since I'm in the pickup area is disgusting will not be returning. Not worth the treatment . I added a picture of how my bowl looked this time vs previously

    Mango Sunshine Bowl

First time visitor and tried the mango sunshine bowl. Wow! A perfect smoothie bowl with no complaints! The fruit was sweet, mango smoothie blend was delicious, granola had the perfect amount of sweetness, it was also crunchy and very tasty! No agave was needed for this bowl but I'm sure if I added it, it would be over the top for sweetness (which I actually wouldn't have minded) but it was perfect the way it was presented. I love that the sizes are huge for the bowls, the many options they have on the menu is a plus especially for a vegan. Look forward to trying more bowls. Service was fast, employees were nice and helpful. Seating is ample indoor and outdoor at the market until it gets crowded. This place is absolutely worth the hype it receives!

Loved the entire experience. Ordered myself, walked around and them picked it up in the fridge. I absolutely love acai bowls and this one has set the bar way up. So perfectly stacked and filled. If I lived by here I would be eating it for dinner every night

Date of service: 3.1.25 Ambiance: it's Union Market Food: OHH-MM-GG I bought three Warrior bowls but only one was for me. Apparently if you tell people you're going there, you instantly get money sent to you for theirs too ! But I can definitely see why! It was absolutely delicious. The perfectly blended frozen fruit at the bottom and the overloaded top with your choice of fresh fruit is so good! I added extra bananas and agave nectar YUMMY! The portion size is enough to share with someone but who would want to? This bowl was $11.95! Great value for this beautiful bowl! I can now see why my teenage daughter and her friends love this place. Highly recommend

I love their Peanut Blast Bowl. I add whey protein and nutella. The service is always friendly, and quick with a smile. The ambiance is always inspiring and uplifting.

If you are in this area and not getting you açaí bowls from south block then idk what you are doing!! No complaints! Love how I can add how much honey I want to it personally. Shout out to the workers at this location. Keeping a smile on their faces as they work in a busy food hall on a Saturday!!

My friend and I were at Union Market and decided the smoothie bowls sounded nice on a warm day. They have a few screens you can order your food from. It took a bit to get our order but it was a busy Sunday. They will text you when your order is ready though, so you can find a seat and wait for your order is ready text. There is plenty of seating inside and outside, we sat outside and enjoyed the warm weather. My friend and I shared the Sunshine Bowl smoothie bowl and it was very good. All the flavors worked well together and they were generous with the fruit and granola on top.

There were 6 of us and we had about 1.5 hour wait... for such a busy restaurant, we were ok waiting and our flight wasn't for several hours. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Once in, they stored our luggage in a closet behind the host station. I thought that was very nice as we didn't know where we'd be putting it. Our server was very friendly and offered recommendations. We ordered a few bottles of mimosas and they came with 3 juices. (calamansi was my favorite juice) we also had hibiscus lemonade and Hawaiian Punch. I had LOADED BREAKFAST BISCUITS and it was very delicious. I subbed regular sausage for turkey and it was on the side. The picture doesn't do it justice because I found myself wanting to try and recreate this recipe at home. The vibes were good. Food was delicious and the server was amazing. Would come back here.

The shakshuka was equally flavorful and had me feeling like I wasn't even in the DMV! If you're looking for a unique brunch spot, definitely add this one to your list. **I'd recommend making a reservation**, especially with the foot traffic from the nearby convention center.

Place: it has more of a casual feeling with some ambience. Feels comfortable with wooden furnitures. Service: I believe we had Micah who was just exceptional- very personable and gave us the perfect recommendations. Fast and prompt service. Food: every dish we ordered was amazing. Cobb salad was really great- but the bacon on top was theee best bacon I've ever had. I've been content with just that order. Amazing oysters- fresh and condiments went very well. Now steak was Cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Now-- I am not a "bread lover" but Micah said the place was known for its biscuit (they charge for it and I would too if it's this good). Told him about my lukewarm love for the bread and he said "I would order it for educational purposes". I like education , especially this kind of education so I did- and yes, it is true. It was theee highlight of the night. Oh it's special. Crispy- and buttery almost like half croissant and half biscuit. The jam and pimemto cheese just out of this world. We actually came home and researched the recipe of "wanna be- st. Anselm biscuit" Definitely one of the best educational experience I've had. Price: I thought it was reasonable. There are also some upcharges to be aware of not on the menu (like cheese in eggs), which is not all too uncommon for brunch but still something to note!

I started here for my birthday with some escargots, fantastic. Pro-Tip: Don't forget you can dip that terrific breadbasket they give you with some of the leftover garlic sauce from your escargots. We both decided to split the Beef Bourguignon. The most tender beef you can imagine, you do not need a knife to eat, and it was accompanied with buttery goodness in the creamy potatoes and some carrots for good measure. For dessert we ordered the vanilla bean crème brûlée. French dessert at a French restaurant was a no brainer. The top of the dessert packed a crispy, sugary, slightly burnt tasting palate cleanser that definitely will keep you a pick me up, who needs an ECT shock to get the heart going when you can take a scoop of pure sugary bliss! The cheese puffs and artichokes were mediocre, and the macarons were fine but nothing memorable. The tarte flambée was slightly below average. It tasted mostly like cheese and fat, with none of the depth or balance I expected. The biggest disappointment was the steak au poivre. We ordered it medium rare, which our server specifically said was also the chef's recommendation, but it arrived somewhere between medium and medium well. More surprisingly, it was one of the toughest steaks I have ever eaten. At $49, that is unacceptable. The mashed potatoes were equally disappointing: bland, not buttery, and nothing like the rich French pommes purée I expected. We also ordered the carrots, but they never arrived. At least we were not charged for them. The crème brûlée was good, but a good crème brûlée could not redeem the meal. The service was attentive and polished. The restaurant was also nearly empty at 5 p.m. on a Friday, with only one other table occupied inside and a few people outside, which in hindsight may have been a warning sign. Beautiful room, decent service, deeply disappointing food. I would not return.
