Strawberry Cloud Smoothie
Caitlin D.

Tried the strawberry cloud smoothie -- allegedly an intended dupe for the Erehwon Hailey Bieber smoothie. It doesnt fully live up to that hype, but it is a great smoothie and a solid East Coast option if you're craving it!

Delicious smoothie, pretty reasonably priced. They have vegetarian protein, collagen, and whey protein additives you can choose from. The strawberry cloud smoothie was delicious. I loved the coco whip. Service was quick, you can order on the iPad in the front.

I found it helpful that there was a juice bar at Union Market because my stomach was not in great shape for solid food. The bowl I got here satisfied, but didn't quite fill the container. For the price, I could have done better at home. The menu also isn't broad; most of these places, even if focused on fruit-based creations, offer a little more variety.

açaí

Behind on my reviews again, but had to shout this one out -- I loved the açaí here. Not too sweet and so good I went back for it twice while I was in DC! They also have smoothies that are basically Erewhon dupes.

mango mania
Chyna Q.

Purchased a mango mania and subbed the bananas for strawberries-- 20/10. So refreshing and delicious. It is also a fairly large portion, I could barely finish. I love a smoothie place that doesn't add 18822928 dairy products. This is a real smoothie and I will be back!

I've patronized this location many times and the last time I went will for sure be the final time. Ordered my smoothie bowl through the app. Went to pickup dark long haired employee bumped me and didn't apologize . Picked my order up went home saw it didn't look right went back and said excuse me 5 times and was ignored till finally was helped. They offered to remake it and was in the process when the same girl that bumped me earlier gonna say "you paying for something" instead of saying hey have you been helped or picking up" since I'm in the pickup area is disgusting will not be returning. Not worth the treatment . I added a picture of how my bowl looked this time vs previously

Mango Sunshine Bowl

First time visitor and tried the mango sunshine bowl. Wow! A perfect smoothie bowl with no complaints! The fruit was sweet, mango smoothie blend was delicious, granola had the perfect amount of sweetness, it was also crunchy and very tasty! No agave was needed for this bowl but I'm sure if I added it, it would be over the top for sweetness (which I actually wouldn't have minded) but it was perfect the way it was presented. I love that the sizes are huge for the bowls, the many options they have on the menu is a plus especially for a vegan. Look forward to trying more bowls. Service was fast, employees were nice and helpful. Seating is ample indoor and outdoor at the market until it gets crowded. This place is absolutely worth the hype it receives!

Loved the entire experience. Ordered myself, walked around and them picked it up in the fridge. I absolutely love acai bowls and this one has set the bar way up. So perfectly stacked and filled. If I lived by here I would be eating it for dinner every night

Date of service: 3.1.25 Ambiance: it's Union Market Food: OHH-MM-GG I bought three Warrior bowls but only one was for me. Apparently if you tell people you're going there, you instantly get money sent to you for theirs too ! But I can definitely see why! It was absolutely delicious. The perfectly blended frozen fruit at the bottom and the overloaded top with your choice of fresh fruit is so good! I added extra bananas and agave nectar YUMMY! The portion size is enough to share with someone but who would want to? This bowl was $11.95! Great value for this beautiful bowl! I can now see why my teenage daughter and her friends love this place. Highly recommend

I love their Peanut Blast Bowl. I add whey protein and nutella. The service is always friendly, and quick with a smile. The ambiance is always inspiring and uplifting.

If you are in this area and not getting you açaí bowls from south block then idk what you are doing!! No complaints! Love how I can add how much honey I want to it personally. Shout out to the workers at this location. Keeping a smile on their faces as they work in a busy food hall on a Saturday!!

My friend and I were at Union Market and decided the smoothie bowls sounded nice on a warm day. They have a few screens you can order your food from. It took a bit to get our order but it was a busy Sunday. They will text you when your order is ready though, so you can find a seat and wait for your order is ready text. There is plenty of seating inside and outside, we sat outside and enjoyed the warm weather. My friend and I shared the Sunshine Bowl smoothie bowl and it was very good. All the flavors worked well together and they were generous with the fruit and granola on top.

Our waiter was friendly and gave great recommendations. I ordered the Ted's Bulletin burger with the egg fried hard, and let me just say this was my first time having an egg on a burger, and I'm sold! I'd get it again any day. I also swapped my regular fries for truffle fries, which were a great choice. My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken with biscuits and got the sausage gravy on the side. The chicken was fried perfectly with a nice crunch, the biscuits were soft, and the sausage gravy was so good you could honestly eat it by itself. My daughter got the mac and cheese with a side of fruit and cleaned her plate.. no crumbs left! I'd definitely come back, especially to try their breakfast/brunch since they serve it all day. Overall, I'd recommend Ted's for a solid breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

It's nice that they have a pick up window to make it easier for online orders because even around two an hour before they close there was still a line out the door. It was moving pretty fast, so not as big of a deal. There's a decent amount of indoor seating, and I felt like the turnover of tables was pretty high with open seating, so not too hard to find a seat. I ordered the BBQ lamb shoulder pita which is also apparently rated one of the seven best sandwiches in North America. I can understand it. It was actually really good. A lot of good flavors. I felt like it was going to be not filling in the beginning, but was actually quite filling and had good meat depth in the pita. They pitas are made in house, so small imperfections make it more original. It is a little bit saucy so definitely grab some napkins, but it's a ton of flavor and definitely makes sense why it's one of their signatures. Tried the pita, the labneh, the Zaatar Croissant and the Roselle/Malabar tea. The tea was my favorite. Very refreshing, with a hint of spiciness. The pita was huge; each weighed about ~6oz so one piece is generally enough for one meal. It was freshly baked and very fluffy and relatively thicker than the pitas in most restaurants. The labneh was just normal. The Zaatar Croissant was stuffed with lots of labneh and coated in Zaatar. The Zaatar smelled amazingly but did not have much taste. The labneh went well with the croissant. In short, it is an interesting cafe but not a must-visit place if you are traveling in DC -- even if you are a fan of Middle Eastern food like me:)

We stumbled upon this new restaurant on the H Street corridor 8th street--a neighborhood that can feel a bit rough around the edges--but what we found inside was nothing short of a true gem. We decided on the Honey Butter Pancakes, and the Shrimp and Grits. When I say everything was delightful, I mean everything was flavorful. The appetizer and grits entrée both had a little heat or a kick behind them, but it was just enough to enhance the flavor. The pancakes were small and differently shaped and presented, but they were so good. I would've given them a five, but our server walked past us several times and forgot to refill our water glasses. I believe it was his manager who noticed that our glasses were empty and proceeded to fill them. And because of the time we came in, it couldn't be blamed on too many customers. Every bathroom stall was also out of the toilet seat covers and that's not cool. Yuck!
