Smoked salmon toast was really good! Soft bread, but a good toast, which I appreciate. I hate when toasts are either too soft or too hard. Pastrami smoked salmon was done well. We tried the avocado toast and a couple açaí bowls. Overall, really tasty food. One of our bowls was not blended well and very liquid so we asked to have that one remade. After that, it was great. Very creative menu. I had two complaints. First, the blenders and extremely loud and aren't covered, so it's not a great space to eat or have a conversation. Second, the person who took our order and made our food wasn't helpful at times, and didn't make us feel particularly welcome. I needed to split with someone. 3 cheese Italian toast - this is my favorite but again the thing is huge and heavy so need to split. I don't recommend saving it for later cause the toast will get soggy but you can always deconstruct it. Metabolize juice - this is my favorite. It has the perfect combination of sweet and spicy but it's not too sweet. I don't like very sugary things and this is perfect. And the jalapeño is the perfect balance. I can't believe I didn't realize there was a Toastique down the street from my gym. I guess since I often will order a smoothie at my gym, I never thought to for a smoothie place. But today, there was a huge line of folks waiting for smoothies so as I walked out, I searched Yelp to see what other smoothie options were nearby. And alas, Toastique was just a 3 minute walk from me. The person working the counter was so friendly and kind despite walking in 30 mins before closing. I've been to Toastique twice now; most recently this morning when I was craving a smoothie bowl. I grabbed a dragonberry bowl, and I have to say it was pretty darn good. Definitely on the light side - so I would say this isn't the best choice if you're hungry, but a perfect refreshing light summer breakfast. The last time I went to Toastique, several months ago at this point, my partner and I ordered smoothies. He got something basic and I remember it being decent, but my Blue Mystique smoothie was so so awful. All of the ingredients in it (minus the blue majik, which I had never tried before that day) sounded delicious. Well, I learned that blue majik has a very strong, overpowering, artificial/chemical-like flavor. There should definitely be some warning or explanation of the ingredient when ordering because I really was not expecting that. Plus, the smoothies are quite expensive, and I threw 75% of mine out (and I'm not one to waste good food). This first experience definitely tuned me off from returning, but I'm glad I gave it a second shot today. I'll definitely be back, but I've learned to stick to what I know. read more

I'm a huge fan of the PB&B bowl, it's flavorful and creamy and not too sweet. The Avocado Smash toast is great too. It was quite delicious, and a substantial amount of food. My partner had the avocado smash which was under salted but otherwise good. The problem is that they only provide the cheapest plastic utensils, and they aren't able to adequately cut through the toast or toppings, resulting in a disappointing dining experience and frustrating their customers. Word to the wise: buy some cutlery. A set of metal forks and knives would probably cost your restaurant $600. Well worth it to improve your customer experience. read more
