An Elegant Breakfast Spot with Wonderful Staff (Just Mind the Checkout) The Atmosphere & First Impressions High-End Finishes: The restaurant is beautifully designed with high-end finishes, creating a very upscale environment. Impeccably Clean: Upon arriving, we immediately noticed how clean and well-maintained the entire space was. Warm Welcome: The hostess was incredibly kind and set a great tone for our breakfast. The Food & Service Fantastic Menu: The menu offers a wonderful assortment of options. We were originally drawn in because we were excited to try their homemade Pop-Tart! Accommodating & Kind: Our waiter was a very nice gentleman. The kitchen was more than happy to make small adjustments to our orders for dietary needs, which we deeply appreciated. Kudos to the Staff: The waitstaff does a phenomenal job, especially considering the clientele. This area tends to attract a lot of pompous professionals, and we witnessed customers being incredibly rude to the staff on two back-to-back visits. A Note on the Crowd: For example, we were in on a Thursday afternoon and watched a large group of business professionals completely ignore their server. They wouldn't even acknowledge them or say thank you. It felt like olden times, where the staff were treated like servants to a king or queen and were just expected to take abuse. It was really bad. A Quick Note on the Checkout Process Rushed Payment: The payment process felt a bit rushed. The server hands you a small payment machine and quickly pushes you to complete the transaction right then and there. Keep an Eye Out: We aren't the type of people to scrutinize a bill closely--if it's right around the expected amount, we don't worry about it. However, the lady at the table right before us was loudly complaining about a service fee on her bill, and she ended up not leaving a tip at all because of it. Combined with how fast they push the payment machine on you, it might be worth taking a quick second to look over your total if you are the type of person who likes to verify the fine print. Come on people, do better! Overall Impression It is an expensive spot, but the food quality, cleanliness, and excellent service from the waitstaff make it worth a visit. The staff handles a tough crowd beautifully!

Unfortunately, I didn't really enjoy the Pop-Tart. I had high expectations after reading reviews that mentioned the Pop-Tarts were made in-house, so I was disappointed when it didn't live up to what I had hoped for. That said, the location itself was quite nice. There are multiple locations, and this particular one was surprisingly spacious inside. It was busy when I visited, but the atmosphere was still beautiful and inviting. The worker who assisted me was kind and helpful, and his recommendations were especially appreciated because the menu is HUGE. With so many options to choose from, it can feel a little overwhelming trying to decide what to order. Overall, while the Pop-Tart wasn't for me, I enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciated the friendly service.

Lobster roll with salad, $1 upcharge for salad

Great happy hour throughout the restaurant until 6:30pm. Good service for our group of 10. Ted's is a reliable staple DC restaurant. Big portions and reasonable prices. About the lobster specials: the lobster Mac and cheese tasted good and had a decent amount of lobster but was a little liquidy. The lobster roll was good but I thought it would have more lobster based on some instagram posts I had seen online, and I got upcharged $1 to switch fries to a salad. I will definitely go back to Ted's but probably skip the lobsters next time.

Since moving to the Union Market/NoMa area, I've made it a point to dine at, shop at, and support local businesses whenever I can. Today's stop was breakfast at Ted's Bulletin, and it turned out to be the perfect Thursday morning day-off meal. The weather was lovely, so we grabbed a table outside and soaked it all in. Food For our entrées, we ordered steak, eggs, potatoes and pancakes, plus eggs and chicken sausage. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, exactly what you want from a classic breakfast. I had the green juice, which felt like a good balance to the hearty meal, while my cousin went with mimosas, which felt very on brand for a relaxed weekday breakfast. The portions were generous, and the menu hits that comfort food sweet spot. It's the kind of place where you can always find something that sounds good, whether you're craving something indulgent or a little lighter. Service I'll admit the service wasn't great this time around. We had to ask for a few things multiple times because our server was forgetful and not the most attentive. Even simple things, like syrup not coming out with the pancakes, required a follow-up request, and by the time it arrived, the food had cooled off a bit. That said, I dined here a few weeks ago for dinner with a group of about eight people, and the service during that visit was much better. So I'm hoping this was just an off morning rather than the norm. Ambiance The restaurant itself is large and welcoming, making it a great option for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The outdoor patio is a wonderful addition, especially on beautiful days like today. Sitting outside with good food and nice weather made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. Overall Ted's Bulletin is a solid neighborhood staple and a great place to keep in rotation, especially if you live nearby like I do. The prices are decent and comparable to what's offered around the Union Market/NoMa area, which makes it an easy choice when you want a reliable meal without feeling like you overspent. I'll definitely be back and hoping for a smoother service experience next time, because the food and atmosphere make it worth another visit.

My coffee and omelette at Ted's today were great! The service is quick, the servers are extremely attentive, and the environment is cozy! I really enjoyed the hash browns.

Went here for breakfast (served all day) the service was great. The food was yummy and served pretty quickly. That we came back the next day. It's pricey but what in Washington DC isn't.

I visited Ted's Bulletin in December 2025 for brunch with two colleagues, and the experience at the NoMa location was phenomenal. I've been to the U Street/14th Street location before, but this one is by far my favorite. The ambiance, aesthetic, and overall layout are modern, cute, sexy, and elevated. I absolutely love the bar space -- it adds such a great touch to the atmosphere. Our server was extremely accommodating and gave us wonderful recommendations, including the viral cinnamon roll -- which is an absolute must-order. Yes, you have to get it. It did not disappoint. Our appetizers were delicious, my entrée was really good, and overall the experience was seamless and enjoyable. I would definitely return to this location again and am already planning to be back in 2026. Highly recommend.

My partner and I made our way into Ted's Bulletin on a (holiday) Monday for brunch. It was busy but only about a 15 minute wait. Our server was kind/efficient and gave us some recommendations. We got the cinnamon roll to split - I wasn't expecting it to be that big - but it was so delicious and we loved it. I got the Turkish eggs for my meal and they were delightful. Everything was cooked well. The cold brew was OK - I felt like it was a bit too bitter but I did enjoy the hazelnut syrup. My biggest issue was our seating. We were sat at a small high top that I felt like was more fitting for the cafe section than dining. It was really hard for us to be able to have the cinnamon roll appetizer and our meals.

Let me tell you I got the wrong burrito. I got a chorizo burrito when I asked for steak no problems. I just told them that it was wrong. They exchanged it no problems. That burrito was so tasty. Like I'd be craving that breakfast burrito. I've been needing to go back to the area to go get it so next time I'm in the area US believe I'm gonna go for brunch and get that steak burrito.

We were in town for a few days and stopped in for drinks and snacks. The bartender was very nice and helpful. It is a bit upscale, but not too much and it was a fun stop. We tried deviled eggs and fried pickles along with a few beers. It's a good place to try.

    Jenzen E.

I ordered the NY Strip Au Poivre 10 oz NY strip, roasted fingerling potatoes, sauteed spinach, peppercorn sauce... The meat itself was tender and wasnt chewy... However, the peppercorn "sauce" wasnt it... it was literally loaded with peppercorn as you can see in the picture. Overloaded.... With peppercorn which was burnt and made the meat bitter. Nice environment overall and calamari appetizer was on point.

I am a frequent customer because normally the quality of the food is worth paying for. Today however, an incompetent greeter who I suppose was trying to be helpful and an incompetent "chef" working the pass failed to add my side order to the bag ‍. Yes, I know I should have checked the bag, but I'm a regular, - they always get it right. Not only did I have to return to get my side the food was over done.

This was one of the most unique shakshukas I'd ever had... It literally tasted like a curry dish you might get at your local Indian restaurant, with a bit of a brunch flair to it. The curry itself had a wee bit of spice and was a bit sweet - but that could have been from the sweet potatoes. The chicken was served in a bowl on the side, which felt a bit... odd... I would've expected it to be incorporated into the main dish. It was kind of bland and a bit lukewarm, so I don't know that I'd order that again... but I would definitely order this again!

While I was tempted to order the falafel, I couldn't justify shelling out another $5 for another upcharge and spend $10 on them for a total of $26 for just an entree - when these 2 upcharges should have been included in the entree by default. The music venue is located below the Hamilton, a storied dining experience in the 600 block of 14th Street in D.C. Doors would open at 6:30 p.m. for a performance that would begin, right on time, at 8 p.m. I travel alone, and prefer not to join tables, opting instead to sit where single seats are available. The Hamilton - Live offers both: most of the seating is in groups of 4- or 6-seat benches where groups gather, and there are rows of single seats on a slight rise above the forward seating, offering a great view of the stage and the screens above the stage. I arrived around 7 p.m. Within minutes Marie greeted me with a menu and instructions to post a card on a holder at my place, signaling her to stop by to take my order. The menu was eclectic, with sushi, pizza, tacos, salads, wings, cheeseburger sliders, and nachos. There are robust vegetarian and gluten-free selections, and a fully licensed bar. I placed the card in the holder at my seat and Marie returned to take my order: sushi - shrimp tempura ($14), with a can of Nutrl Pineapple ($8) and a double G&T ($23.18). The crowd was gathering, and the attending wait staff were moving with speed, filling orders. My meal arrived in great shape about 15 minutes after I placed the order. Nicely executed sushi! Sound quality in the venue is great, and the restroom was clean and well lit. And as the catalogues of both the Dead and Steely Dan inspire dancing, the dance floor was filled right from the start. The band's vibe was low key and spontaneous, with lots of smiling on the dance floor. Total with a 22% tip was $79 (which included a white Russian nightcap). Reasonable fare for the DMV. Churchkey itself is everything a great bar should be. The beer selection is absolutely unreal -- hundreds of carefully curated labels spanning every style, region, and flavor profile you can imagine. What sets it apart is that the staff actually knows the menu. Our server walked us through a few options based on what we liked and landed us on perfect picks both times. That kind of genuine expertise is rare. The tavern pizzas from the wood-fired oven were a wonderful surprise -- thin, crispy, and the perfect companion to a cold draft. The smash burger also deserves a mention: simple, well-executed, and hits the spot. The vibe is warm and lively without being overwhelming. Great for a date, a group, or even just sitting at the bar solo with a good beer and good conversation with the bartender. This place has earned its reputation as one of the best beer bars on the East Coast -- and then some. Highly recommend making a full night of it with both floors. You won't regret it. Or as they call it "Martini Happy Hour."…read moreWe enjoyed a dirty vodka martini and a dirty blue Martini - made with bleu cheese stuffed olives and a bleu cheese vermouth. Nicely priced at $12 each. Also served with the cocktails were a bottle of still and a bottle of sparkling water - very welcomed on our August 20,000 step sight-seeing tour. We ordered the $12 shrimp cocktail - 5 decent shrimp with two sauces. The $7 fries were insane! If we're in the area again on this trip, we'll definitely stop in again for Martini Happy Hour.

Dined in restaurant on a Saturday around 8pm. When I approached the hostess table, she asked "table…read morefor 2?" even though I was by myself. She was most likely on auto pilot and appeared embarrassed when she realized it. I politely smiled and said (confidently), table for 1. We solo diners need to be loud and proud! I digress... Before being seated I found the restroom. I found it odd that it was extremely dim. The main dining room was brighter than the restroom! I also saw the Photo Booth. Interesting addition. $5 for pictures. I was seated at a small round table with two chairs by the window. The restaurant was plenty busy, and I'm just glad I wasn't asked if I wanted to sit at the bar (I didn't). My server Noel brought two bottles of water: still and sparkling. I requested lemon slices, which he brought. And I proceeded to finish the entire bottle of sparkling by the end of the meal...guess I was thirsty! But I appreciated the option of both. I forgot to ask for a straw, but saw them in a container at the register right behind my table, so I got one myself. After ordering I noticed a nearby table had some bread so I asked Noel if they served complimentary bread. He said yes and apologized for not bringing it initially. Not that I needed it, but I don't eat bread with butter often and this was a night out to indulge a bit. There were two slices, nothing special. My food arrived within about 10-15 minutes and looked so scrumptious. I ordered the lamb and short rib meatballs and Brussels sprouts. The meatballs were pretty good, but what made them even better was the tzatziki sauce. I didn't realize the green rice was on one side of the plate until I was almost done. That tzatziki sauce was really all I needed to go with the meatballs. It was cool and creamy to go with the dry, meatiness of the meatballs. I honestly wish there had been more of it! I did not finish the rice, which didn't look super appetizing because of the intense green color. I will say though, I'm not a fan of spicy food but the tzatziki had a kick. I think perhaps due to chopped jalapeños. I tried to avoid them once I realized. The Brussels were delicious! Roasted to perfection, not too charred and not too mushy. I requested the green goddess sauce on the side because I'm not a huge sauce person, but once I tried it, I couldn't stop. Again, the combination of the creaminess of the sauce with the flakiness of the Brussels was a genius pairing. During the meal the beverage manager stopped by. I didn't have any drinks with the meal, but perhaps I will return to see what they have. Noel brought the bill at my request, then brought over the portable device so I could pay at the table. While that process is efficient, it's always awkward leaving a tip when the server is standing right there. Anyhow, overall it was a good experience and a delicious meal!

Honestly we were so pleasantly surprised by how good the burgers are! I had the Capital Burger which had such incredible flavor and the burger itself is thick and juicy. Despite having just had a big dinner somewhere else, as I write this, my mouth is watering. My daughter had the wild mushrooms burger and she loved it -- the aioli had the perfect tang to go with the mushroom and Swiss, both burgers were cooked perfectly medium as requested. The old fashioned was just your typical old fashioned with a slice of candied bacon attached to the outside of the glass. We were hoping for something smokier and a little different but it was still a very good Old Fashioned. We shared the chocolate mousse and it was perfection. Yum! If I lived here this would be my new regular spot.

Plus we had a good time dining outside while the weather was nice. They also made a solid strong old fashioned which i would come back for. Overall good burger, good fries and good drinks.
