    Avocado toast

Very happy about finding a food breakfast spot in this area! I got the avocado toast and 2 lattes and was very impressed. Avocado toast can go wrong in a lot of ways, and this one was good. It had chick peas on it which made it unique and the eggs were actually cooked to perfection. They have been open for 1 month so it wasn't too busy. Cool vibes inside with great service.

This is a great little spot for a diner, the ambience is top notch but there's a major gap between potential and execution, the food was okay, interesting and unique, i got the churro French toast which was a fun twist but was underwhelming taste wise. The service was fine, all the waitresses seemed to want to be anywhere else, and would disappear for 15-20 minutes, which working in food service will do that to you, so I can't blame them. I got a caramel latte and it was the strangest latte I've had in my entire life, being basically just milk and caramel, zero coffee taste at all, which for some people is a great thing, so take it how you will. My advice- skip any speciality coffees. Truly, this place has potential, and I think that with a stronger menu and higher quality ingredients

Adorable dinner right by K Street, great food, great service. Stiveen was so friendly and fun and we had a delightful meal - definitely recommend the breakfast empanadas with flaky delicate crust and the wet breakfast burrito. Fun vibe too - Mexican ska was playing when we came in, the decor has a classic 50s/60s vibe with modern retro fixtures. Every seat at the bar has a bag hook and a plug, so it's also a great spot for a working lunch or breakfast.

Visiting DC for a road trip and we arrived in the morning. So with limited cafes opened we found Rosa's diner. A cool Spanish breakfast spot with a bar. We got sat right away and the service was good. Everyone enjoyed their meal and was glad to see they had gluten and vegan options. Overall I was glad we found this spot to start our day

The food is amazingI had the eggs benedict they had birria in it. The decor its very beautiful, there is AC inside they also had seating outside. Now there is a lot to improve in terms of service, first my food took way to long to arrive about 45 minutes. Also I had no silver wear to eat or for my coffee. I only saw one of the workers doing most of the work and Staff that just walked by me and did not asked if I needed anything. I wish them to learn how to make this restaurant better as the food was very good!

A hazelnut cold brew and the cinnamon churros

Wonderful food nice place hard to find the door at first and didn't have many cold brew flavors today but not there fault overall great service would come again

The churro French toast alone is worth the visit! Good service and really nice decor and vibe.

The space itself is bright and airy and a bit on the noisy side. But the service was very good, and the food was served quite quickly. I've been on a shakshuka kick lately, so I opted for the the Sweet Potato Shakshuka, which is described as: Sweet Potato Curry, with Chickpeas and Sunny Eggs with a the chicken add-on - gotta get that protein in, after all. This was one of the most unique shakshukas I'd ever had... It literally tasted like a curry dish you might get at your local Indian restaurant, with a bit of a brunch flair to it. The curry itself had a wee bit of spice and was a bit sweet - but that could have been from the sweet potatoes. The chicken was served in a bowl on the side, which felt a bit... odd... I would've expected it to be incorporated into the main dish. It was kind of bland and a bit lukewarm, so I don't know that I'd order that again... but I would definitely order this again!

The Tikka dish with fried egg was tasty, but wish paneer or larger protein option was built-in (not an upcharge)! The creamy red Tikka curry sauce, caramelized onions, crispy brussel sprouts, and fried ere tasty and paired well, the dish felt incomplete and something was missing, maybe some paneer or naan? I paid $5 for a side of zesty naan topped with different spices and really wish it came with the dish just came with it. While I was tempted to order the falafel, I couldn't justify shelling out another $5 for another upcharge and spend $10 on them for a total of $26 for just an entree - when these 2 upcharges should have been included in the entree by default. Wish there were more fun vegetarian dishes on the menu. Might come back for drinks and to explore the menu!

The restaurant business is tough, so I drafted this review with a bit of sadness. I had a good time…read morein large part due to the atmosphere and my date (my girlfriend). That said, a couple missteps that should not have occurred took this review into the negative realm. Let's start with the positive. This appears to be a great new addition to the neighborhood, and I hope it is supported. The appetizers were delicious and nicely presented. The pistachio feta with grilled pita was tasty and interesting. The halloumi with orange marmalade was as well. The hostess was engaging and friendly. The atmosphere was calming with a touch of casual refinement. One of the entrees was delicious (the scallops and grits). I'd order all three items mentioned so far, again. The negative. The second entree was the short rib. It was tender and.... Wow, way too salty. A shame because it was otherwise well cooked and nicely plated. But whoa. When the hostess came by, my girlfriend kindly said it was a bit salty. I "refined" her answer and said she was being nice, but it was very salty. The hostess went to note this for the kitchen (a positive for her), and because we are on the first floor outside the kitchen window I heard the conversation. The chef responded that he knew what had happened. Earlier when preparing the short rib someone (in his words) blasted it with salt. What this tells me is that they knew they'd made something close to inedible but served it anyway. At the end of our meal we had leftovers of the two apps and the short rib. We asked for a bit of extra pita to take home and they provided. Then the bill arrived. Not only was there no adjustment for the inedible short rib, but they charged us $2 for the pita. The least they could have done was just given us the pita. Ah well. Those two missteps; 1) serving a known and improperly prepared entree, and 2) not doing something to make good when reported, have led to this sadly negative review for a place that could and should have gotten a positive one. Hopefully someone there will see this, and the experience and review will be a learning opportunity that will help them thrive.
