Went to this hidden gem in Kensington and absolutely loved it. It's a cute little neighborhood. Spot in the staff was super friendly. The fish and chips were absolutely incredible and the dill sauce that goes with it was so good. They also have amazing mock tails which I feel like isn't widely known. I absolutely love when a restaurant has amazing mock tails, possibly one of the best ones I've ever had.

RESTAURANT WEEK. The flavor of D&D's $40 Price Fix meals were awesome this week (I share this because the food can be hit/miss most at other times). Highly recommend checking it out and HOPE the restaurant will consider adding some of the wonderful Specials to its menu. Four of us sat in the front room and selected different 3-course meals - we loved each one. Not to be missed were: STARTERS: oyster mushroom ravioli, peach & cucumber salad, grill shrimp MAINS: Halibut, Stuffed, Green Pepper, fried chicken DESSERTS: Cherry Crumble, Sorbet, Gooey Brownie Al la Mode

BLUF: Lovely l'il neighborhood spot. Rustic. Fresh food. Helpful, pleasant service. Healthy options. Wonderfully accommodating. Makes me wish I lived in the neighborhood! Such a cozy place to meet up with friends or family. Like everything during these times, some items are a little pricey for the portion, but others fairly reasonable. Well-thought out when balancing the value of their menu items so everyone can find something to match their budget. It's a nice way to start off the day or finish the day with a cozy feeling & a happy belly. Worth the drive? Yes!

Turkish eggs

My first time at Dish and Dram weekend brunch was pretty good. Everyone at my table ordered eggs in a different form. Unfortunately, my huevos rancheros was very liquidy and soggy. I would not recommend or order again. The person who ordered Turkish eggs would have liked another slice of grilled baguette. The others enjoyed their meals. The staff was friendly and accommodating of a 4-month old baby.

What a little gem in the heart of antiques row in Kensington! Unique menu with numerous seafood dishes, burgers, pork chops, etc. I opted for a customer-fave, fish and chips (with Old Bay on the fries) that came with homemade slaw (seasoned just right and not drowned in mayo) and pickled veg. The fish was flaky and not greasy. Large portion. Friend had the lemon butter mussels served in a unique cast iron pot, with fries and crusty bread for dipping. Also, have a creative signature cocktails menu. Cannot wait to return!

This is Called Stella's point Grille. This is a truly one of a kind place in Kensington, Maryland . This place is a bar restaurant. It has a parking area that needs repaving badly. As you enter there's two entry points front and back door . When you enter you see a dining area with some acade games . It has a bar in back of the store on the right. But near the front door ut has a gas fireplace to keep the place warm. Near the barista area where theybserve all sorts of drinks the have a concealed kitchen area where they perform their magic to make your best foods you could ever want or You cant find anywhere else . They have a great menu there . They have an ATM machine too . This place every Monday and thursday nighrs gave Karaoke nights . I wish they could have it on weekends too . I love having pizzas there , The mean tater tots burgers and more . I think they should have discounts t those who are long term patrons to keep them coming back for more . I think they could have a more selective desert menu for kids and adults . Plus they have 12 to 14 HGTVS . I tried applying fir this place to try my luck but no response as of yet . I wanted the job there because want to build bridges between all woirld of every walk of life that comes there . I love customer interactions as a host and Food Runner . I am flexible on all hours . I want jobs there without Fear , Judgment, Or Bad Politics used against me and others without seeing what people like me can do to be great assets to the team there . I'm writing this review to help boost business again there because of what happened during the Covid Pandemic it was unlawful inexcusable unprofessional Reprehensible, Disrespectful, Irresponsible And down right wrong. The behaviors of the past should never be tolerated in any place of business ever again. The old rule books don't work anymore due to the Behavors during the Covid Pandemic. Once I get photos from the place there on hdre I hope in a few days tgat this review will be better than ever with better detail . I hadn't been there in a while and obe day hooe to go back soon. If you're in Wheaton, MD, and looking for some seriously good comfort food, you absolutely have to…read morestop by Franks! This place is a local gem, but the real stars of the show are the food and drinks. Their fried chicken sandwiches are legendary--perfectly crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. And you can't leave without pairing your sandwich with one of their famous milkshakes. They are rich, creamy, and come in fantastic flavors, offering the perfect sweet finish to a stellar meal. Franks is a great spot for a casual, satisfying lunch or dinner!

I paid the amount the young man asked for and I got the receipt and in addition to the sales tax which I expected to pay there was a 4% service fee. There was nothing on the menu or on the front door or on the cash register explaining what this service fee is for. I asked for the manager and he said he had no idea what it was for. I had them void the sale and return my money. Why do businesses insist on charging junk fees that are inexplicable and completely unjustified? If I had known ahead of time that they were charging a service fee I would've been able to make an educated choice whether to dine there. They could've had a sale and happy customer assuming their food was good. But I won't be back no matter how good their food is because I don't like being charged undisclosed Junk fees.

Hubs and I came here for our weekly date night last night, as it's an easy walk from our new home…read moreand it's always a treat to visit a bar without needing a designated driver. We arrived around 6pm for dinner & drinks and there was only one other patron when we arrived, but since the place is open til 2 am I suspect it starts hopping later on. There were a few tables of guests by the time we left. They have a bunch of pool tables so will need to come to play pool sometime. Last night we just ate and drank. We started with a couple of strawberry margaritas, they were quite nice. Good level of sweet for me (I like em sweet!) and I was a little tipsy but not drunk after one. We ordered the garnachas and the arroz con mariscos to share for our meal. Everything was good but my favorite was the garnachas; stewed beef on a thick corn tortilla with a sprinkling of queso blanco, salsa and some cabbage garnish to put on top. Very flavorful, not at all spicy, and a nice alternative to nachos. The beef was similar to what you'd get in a birria taco but without the consomme on the side. The arroz con mariscos was also very good and was a huge portion; despite us sharing it we had over half of it left so will be enjoying it again tonight. The rice itself has good flavor and the seafood was cooked properly, not overcooked. There were some mussels, a lot of shrimp, some squid I think, honestly I can't remember exactly... I blame the margarita. I would have liked to have a drink menu as I think there was a little bit of language barrier with our server. We kind of understood each other, but not fully and I don't think she understood when I asked if there was a cocktail menu which is why I just asked directly about margaritas, to which I was informed there were lemon and strawberry. They do have a full bar and can probably make a huge variety of drinks, if you speak Spanish you might have more luck. There were a lot of other items on the menu that sounded good, so we'll likely be back. Honestly my only quibble is there was an automatic 15% service charge, it wasn't clear if that is a gratuity or one of those new extra service fees that some restaurants add. I didn't see any mention on the menu (which I didn't have in hand by the time the bill came to confirm one way or the other) and honestly I didn't have a lot of confidence in being able to ask the server whether that charge is for gratuity or not with our language incompatibility, so we added extra gratuity just to make sure since we normally tip 20% anyway. I don't want to stiff the staff, but I would also like to be informed up front if there is a service charge or automatic gratuity. I'm dinging a star just for that bit of ambiguity.
