Food was great! Happy hour had great deals. We had the mussels, oyster Rockefeller, shrimp tacos, calamari, and falafel. All delicious. This was our second time here. The first time we had a burger and chicken sandwich and it was just average. Seafood is definitely the way to go here!

I'm biased I've come to this area a whole lot, and not once have I ever ventured to any other restaurant on the street. I mean they named the street after my favorite place. On this particular day I was invited to go to Black's. I agreed. I was so upset when I put the address in Uber and found out it was across from my playground. I already had agreed to come so this girl turned her frown upside down. Glad I did! Staff is GREAT! Food was good! Loved my salmon. Tried a taste of the burger which was actually super decent. I must admit, there are now three places on this street I'd frequent. Will be back to try more items on the menu.

We ate here last night and both of us loved our food. I had mussels for an appetizer and scallops for the main course. The service was excellent and tables were not too close together. It is also right next to a public parking lot. I would enter that lot from Old Georgetown road instead of Woodmont.

We giving this place 5 stars. But let me tell you why... 1. This place was conveniently located within walking distance from our hotel, across the street from the Marriott headquarters. It's in a lovely neighborhood, so traveling to this spot was an enjoyable feat. 2. This place is upscale hipster chic. Cute patio adorned with the obligatory round string lights and boasting an equally chic indoor seating area, you will feel at home if you are used to the finer things in life. What could be better than fine dining? 3. BUT THE FOOD is good. We had oysters on the shell, salad, salmon, scallops and cornbread. The Caesar salad was a tad bland but other than that, the food was perfectly executed. The "Up & Cumber" cocktail was delightful. Just good stuff man, this is a good solid place to eat for the buck, 4. Service wasn't anything special but it was on point. Isn't this all one wants? Service was prompt enough, polite enough and just right for the evening. Yo. We (my love and me) will be coming back when we are in Bethesda. If you're staying at one of the MANY hotels on Wisconsin Blvd., you will enjoy the dinner stroll, you'll enjoy the food and you'll enjoy yourself.

Came here for a large gathering. Blacks bar was able to workout a special menu and the service was spot on. I ordered a few drinks and some Oysters Rockefeller. The drinks were really good and they oysters were basics. 9$ special for 3 oysters isn't bad. The bar area was spacious and the restaurant looked busy.

I think this restaurant was good, but not a place that I would rave about. I ordered the calamari for an appetizer which was ok. There wasn't much flavor in the breading of the calamari, but it wasn't awful. For my entree, I had the mussels and had a side of macaroni. Both were good, but again not something I'd rave about. The chocolate cake tasted pretty standard. We came in on a rainy evening and before the big dinner rush. It was practically empty when we got there. I will say that since we were one of the only ones there, I wasn't a fan of having them seat another group of guests directly next to us of all of the open tables. The vibe was nice though. I liked the upscale and sleek design of the restaurant.

Came here after we had dinner at Woodmont grill. We were full so and really came in for the oysters. I got dozen of their premium oysters, 4 of each. It was nice. I haven't had a full meal there but service was decent and the oysters were delicious! I would totally come back for their oysters.

It was the perfect day to dine out but some members of our party preferred to dine in. The outdoor seating is on a first come first served basis. Inside, Black's has a typical above-neighborhood-restaurant type vibe. It would be perfect for many things: casual dining, business meetings, happy hour meets, celebrations, etc. It took a while to get our food ordered the restaurant started to fill up. Not a problem since we had our drinks in place. The food at Black's has been constantly good but tonight there were two people who were not so satisfied with their food. Two people had the well seasoned poke bowl (plate) which was good but there was nothing unique about it. Two people had burgers and one of them was served well done when medium rare was requested. The crispy fries pleased me but not some. The person who ordered the Seafood stew was in heaven but the pork chop order didn't deliver. Coffee was served with a cookie which is a very nice touch (a temptation too hard to resist for some). Although I ordered decaffeinated coffee-- I lay awake till the wee hours of the morning wondering if the coffee was really decaf. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Black's is a nice restaurant. In the future, however, I would stick with Addie's mussels and suggest to diners to emphasize their desired temperature for burgers/meats.

The food was delicious, especially the beet salad, scallops and chocolate mousse. The service was a little awkward, they tried to be a high end type of restaurant, but the staff was awkward about it. The noise level was good and it seemed like an older crowd.

It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon, and overall we had a pleasant experience. My mom enjoyed an Arnold Palmer, while I ordered the Saint Tropez Spritz, a refreshing blend of elderflower, limonata, and mint that was perfect for brunch. We each started with a comforting bowl of Onion Soup Au Gratinée, topped with a generous layer of melted Jarlsberg cheese. For the table, we shared the Pot of Mussels Marinière, prepared with leeks, onions, garlic, white wine, and herb butter, along with the Escargots de Bourgogne, which were rich, buttery, and packed with garlic herb flavor. My parents also shared a Caesar Salad, but unfortunately they couldn't enjoy the Caesar dressing because it contains chili oil. It would be wonderful if the restaurant offered a traditional Caesar dressing without chili oil for guests with dietary restrictions or sensitivities. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Niçoise Salad and made sure to communicate my food allergies and pepper sensitivity before ordering. Unfortunately, the tuna arrived blackened and was much too spicy for me. Thankfully, our server handled the situation professionally and had the kitchen replace the tuna with salmon, which I appreciated. The food quality was generally very good, and the staff was accommodating once the mistake was brought to their attention. My only suggestion is to improve allergy awareness in the kitchen and consider offering a non-spicy Caesar dressing option. Those changes would make the dining experience much more enjoyable for guests with food sensitivities.

I ordered the Le Cheeseburger & Frites, with the burger cooked medium-well. The burger was okay, but I found it somewhat greasy and, honestly, nothing particularly special. The fries were inconsistent--some were very crisp and firm while others were quite soft. My mom ordered the salmon, which she really enjoyed, and after trying a bite, I actually thought it was better than my burger. The service was probably the weakest part of the experience. We waited quite a while for our food and were only given water while we waited. After we finished, I flagged down another server to ask for the check, but they deferred to the server assigned to our table. We then had to wait again for the check to arrive. For this type of restaurant, I expected the service to be more attentive and efficient. The dining room has the lively, intimate atmosphere you'd expect from a French bistro, but I found it quite loud and the tables very close together. I had to speak loudly for my mom to hear me across the table. Eventually, I was uncomfortable enough that I wanted to leave sooner than I otherwise would have, so we skipped dessert. They did bring me complimentary ice cream with chocolate for my birthday, which was a nice gesture and appreciated. Overall, I enjoyed my birthday dinner, but the long waits, underwhelming burger, inconsistent fries, and noisy, tightly packed dining room kept this from being a 5-star experience. There were definitely some positives, but I expected a little more from the overall experience.

Lovely wine bar in Cleveland Park!…read more We dined in on a Friday night with a party of six. They had seated us in the front window, but the sun was really shining so they were very accommodating, and helped to move our table into a shadier spot. We started with a round of cocktails and appetizers. My husband enjoyed the apricot Manhattan and I tried the Key West daiquiri. The lavender and pea cocktail was also very refreshing. The hummus platter featured four different hummus's. The harissa was our favorite. The Burratta salad and tart flambe was nice to share. We proceeded with ordering three bottles of wine and a few entrees. The petite fillet was delicious. The spring gnocchi was flavorful and the chicken Milanese was a nice portion. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out a slice of Dulce de Leche cheesecake with a candle! Service was very nice. Clean bathrooms and short walk to Cleveland Park Metro.

Little Blackbird is phenomenal!…read more I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. Great service from super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable staff. A large wine list that they know back to front and can recommend wines from based on your food choices and personal tastes. An elegant but not ostentatious interior. But first and foremost, incredible food. There have been a few items I was unsure of when reading the descriptions, but I have always been blown away by the thoughtfulness and balance that comes with each or their dishes. Of note, their seared scallops that came with a savory and sweet white chocolate sauce were one of my favorite dishes of 2025. Not to mention, the prices here are reasonable and not unnecessarily inflated like other places that market themselves as wine bars. I hope the success here signals a shift in the wine bar model toward unpretentious but thoughtfully designed dishes for a reasonable price. Overall, Little Blackbird is an incredible restaurant that I think deserves more recognition. I will certainly be back soon.

The pesto cream was generous and appetizing while the toasted pignolis added a much-needed crunch factor. I also tried the drunken veal parmigiana and carbonara special which were both specials I believe. The veal was topped with vodka sauce with a side of pasta. This was solid. The vodka sauce was flavorful but could have been a little spicier. The veal was tender but there needed to be more seasoning present. The pasta was tasty too. The carbonara had shrimp that were cooked ideally and was just a well put together dish. Again, the pasta was cooked to my liking. Will I go back? I would.

For a wine bar, I expected a slightly more elevated experience…read more I like that there was outdoor seating (It was a beautiful day when we visited), however there was no one to tell us whether to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. I was waiting for my friend to arrive and countless times the staff walked past me without a word or a glance: no greeting, no invitation to see myself, not even asking if I needed help...nothing. Just incredibly unwelcoming. If I hadn't made such a significant time investment trying to secure a parking space, I would have left immediately. After my friend arrived, we flagged down one of the servers who told us that we could seat ourselves outside. We did so and ordered a round of cocktails: an Aperol Spritz for me and Air Mail for my friend, along with a charcuterie board. The seating outside was picnic benches with chipped paint. Our charcuterie board arrived long before our drinks did. We were half done with the board by the time the drinks arrived. The charcuterie board was delivered with no plates and only one napkin for two people. Additionally, because there were no plates, a significant amount of our charcuterie board ended up on the picnic table. The board had lots of items on it and it was very difficult to remove an item or slice some cheese without something else sliding off. The cocktails were decent. Not the best we've had, but also not the worst. They were inconsistent though. The first two I had were much better than the last one, which tasted distinctly different. When we decided to get food, I ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich while my friend got the Cubano sandwich. In most places, when you order a sandwich, fries are included. Not here. But at least my sandwich was served on an aluminum tray. My friend received her sandwich wrapped in paper. No plate; Just wrapped up like it was to-go. Since no fries were included with her sandwich she ordered a side of the chili cheese fries instead. She ate a few of them but I could tell by her face (and the fact that the bowl remained largely untouched after those few initial fries) that they were not good. My sandwich was okay. Just ok. It arrived warm, not hot, so I'm not sure if it was freshly made. Flavor-wise it was a little bland. I think it probably would have been better served just as schnitzel and not as a sandwich. For dessert, I ordered one of their oversized chocolate chip cookies. Again, it was just not good. Chocolate chip cookies are fairly hard to mess up but this one was just... Bad. It had more of a cake-like consistency... And not even very good cake. I took one bite and that was one too many. Between the difficulty finding parking, the general aloofness of the staff, and the terrible food... I'd recommend passing on this place.
