Side It's a Caesar Salad with salmon (4/5 stars since it was filled only halfway)

UberEats Order Ordered the side Caesar Salad with Salmon (4 stars) The ingredients were fresh and the salmon was a decent size. Totally worth around $15 even though the salad bowl was only filled halfway. I also ordered the grilled cheese without tomatoes with chips. I appreciated the Jalapeño chips instead of regular flavored potato chips! The sandwich itself looked as if it was thrown together last minute; I'm not sure I would order it again... Overall, I was satisfied with the food quality and will try to stop by the restaurant to see what the ambiance inside is like.

I needed to pick up a gift certificate at Locavino in downtown Silver Spring. After looking at the website, I decided that I needed to stay and try it. And it's great! It's a lovely wine bar overlooking the downtown Silver Spring ice rink. In the warmer weather, the outdoor space must be so much fun. The casual food was fabulous - we had hamburgers, flatbread that resembled pizzas, and pasta. All were delicious. The staff is absolutely welcoming. And there us a wide variety of wine and beers - plus a discount on the wines being sampled.

This is a little local gem! Not only is there a great selection of wines, but the kitchen really does a great job. I had the tomato basil soup and the fish tacos, both of which were full of flavor and presented well. Very reasonable prices and lovely serving staff add to the mix for a great experience.

The food was absolutely delicious! We called 9 minutes before showing up, and they were able to accommodate 10 adults and 2 children on a Saturday at 7:45 pm. They gave us menus, and everyone placed their orders at the counter, paid, and then the food was brought out to our table. The atmosphere was very relaxed, but there was loud live music outside due to a festival happening that day. I would definitely recommend this place and would come back!

I first came here a few years ago for a wine tasting when they first opened. I decided to visit again this summer and they've made quite a few changes. They now have a full menu that serves brunch all day. Since I came to for wine I ordered a cheese board to complement. Their house Merlot was *chef's kiss* amazing. The charcuterie board was sub-par, to be honest. I was a little disappointed that a wine bar had a mediocre cheese board. It would be nice if they had different options for boards and had other fruit spreads.

LOCAVINO wasn't exactly what I was expecting. It has a lot of potential but overall needs some work--starting with the basic cleaning, including dusting of walls and artwork. It was a bit dingy. Menu was extensive and promising. Wine and beer listings were great with tons of local options. Staff wasn't the best. Food ordered was okay. Bathroom needs work. I feel as if this place would be killer if they hired staff members that cared.

I recently came in and got to partake in their free Tuesday weekly wine tastings. From that, I ended up purchasing their 3 pillars pinot noir and even got 10% off which they offer for wine bottles purchased with the free tasting. The tasting has a casual and welcoming ambiance and I would encourage attending as a good way to try a new bottles of wine instead of purchasing blindly. The customer service is often pretty quick and the employees are kind here.

Cute wine bar in the heart of downtown silver spring. We grabbed a bite to eat and a glass of wine preparatory to a concert @ The Filmore - quick 5 min walk from the restaurant. Parking is nearby and plentiful. Every time I attend a show @ The Filmore I will come back here. I ordered a Cab (5-6 oz so enough to mellow you) which we enjoyed while our food was being prepared. I ordered the prosciutto flatbread and babyyyyyy it slapped! Pesto - goat cheese - fig - salty prosciutto - balsamic drizzle - buttery flatbread. It was incredible. They accidentally overcooked my pizza (they caught it before even bringing it to me) and offered an appetizer on the house for my extended wait while they baked a new one. Excellent customer service! I accepted their offer and chose their hummus and pita bread. Another hit. I had to slow down on the hummus because I was almost full before the flatbread arrived. My only regret? I wasn't able to finish my flatbread because I had to head to the show. We'll be back!

In the heart of downtown Silver Spring, but a bit tucked away not street facing. Free 2 hr parking around the back. Met up with friends for a late lunch and was surprised by the food offerings! Everyone got a little something different and everyone enjoyed their meal! Burgers were recommended by the cashier so I got the Frederick County Cabernet - didn't taste the wine but it was a thick patty and all the ingredients were fresh - only downside was I asked for a medium cook and it came out well done despite the thick patty. I had a bite of the jerk sandwich and it was also a bit overcooked and dry but the flavors were good. I added the Truffle Parmesan fries and they were fried perfectly and flavorful. And of course there's a large selection of vino to drink there or buy a bottle for home. Definitely a nice casual spot to catch up with friends or even a casual date! The service was also good, you pay first at the cashier but they bring your food and clean the table, so don't forget to tip when you pay! Solid 4 stars, maybe even 4.5 based on price if they didn't overcook the meat.

Went there for a bday drinks and dinner. The place is cool and casual. Huge wine selection including the local Maryland options. Eggplant fries and sweet potato fries were very tasty. Came with honey mustard sauce and tomato sauce. Not greasy. Jerk chicken wrap was good. Price is lower than I expected for this area. I ll be coming here more often.

Waitstaff was professional and helpful. We first ordered drinks, then starters. We ordered entrées after drinks and starters arrived for good pacing. Several of us shared a Skyfall Cabernet Sauvignon. It was smooth and fruity. We shared pimento cheese dip with veggies and bread triangles, bread basket, burrata and spiced cauliflower. All were excellent, Star was the burrata, so creamy and had pesto with it. My entree was a prosciutto sandwich with fig spread. The sandwich was on ciabatta bread. It held the sweet fig spread, savory prosciutto and soft Brie . Very filling and yummy, and came with crisp fries. Everyone loved their food. Some had dessert and coffee afterwards which was also top notch.

For a wine bar, I expected a slightly more elevated experience…read more I like that there was outdoor seating (It was a beautiful day when we visited), however there was no one to tell us whether to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. I was waiting for my friend to arrive and countless times the staff walked past me without a word or a glance: no greeting, no invitation to see myself, not even asking if I needed help...nothing. Just incredibly unwelcoming. If I hadn't made such a significant time investment trying to secure a parking space, I would have left immediately. After my friend arrived, we flagged down one of the servers who told us that we could seat ourselves outside. We did so and ordered a round of cocktails: an Aperol Spritz for me and Air Mail for my friend, along with a charcuterie board. The seating outside was picnic benches with chipped paint. Our charcuterie board arrived long before our drinks did. We were half done with the board by the time the drinks arrived. The charcuterie board was delivered with no plates and only one napkin for two people. Additionally, because there were no plates, a significant amount of our charcuterie board ended up on the picnic table. The board had lots of items on it and it was very difficult to remove an item or slice some cheese without something else sliding off. The cocktails were decent. Not the best we've had, but also not the worst. They were inconsistent though. The first two I had were much better than the last one, which tasted distinctly different. When we decided to get food, I ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich while my friend got the Cubano sandwich. In most places, when you order a sandwich, fries are included. Not here. But at least my sandwich was served on an aluminum tray. My friend received her sandwich wrapped in paper. No plate; Just wrapped up like it was to-go. Since no fries were included with her sandwich she ordered a side of the chili cheese fries instead. She ate a few of them but I could tell by her face (and the fact that the bowl remained largely untouched after those few initial fries) that they were not good. My sandwich was okay. Just ok. It arrived warm, not hot, so I'm not sure if it was freshly made. Flavor-wise it was a little bland. I think it probably would have been better served just as schnitzel and not as a sandwich. For dessert, I ordered one of their oversized chocolate chip cookies. Again, it was just not good. Chocolate chip cookies are fairly hard to mess up but this one was just... Bad. It had more of a cake-like consistency... And not even very good cake. I took one bite and that was one too many. Between the difficulty finding parking, the general aloofness of the staff, and the terrible food... I'd recommend passing on this place.

We had a 6:30pm reservation and upon arrival we were promptly seated at lovely window table near the front. The ambiance is great it's spacious with beautiful tables, chairs, and a decent sized wine display. Our first server was great she offered suggestions for wine and the menu and she had a friendly personality. We started with the Era 75 and a glass in the Spanish , red that was on "wine o' clock", we also ordered the shrimp and avocado tostini's and truffle fries. The wine was ok it wasn't as full bodied as I expected it to be but my partner really like the era75. The crostini's were a 10/10 and the truffle fries were a miss as I think they could have been cooked for a few more minutes. The servers switched at some point so we got someone new and I think she was only person there. We both ordered the linguine with the first server but the second came right before our dishes came and we shared we wanted a white to pair with the pasta. She seemed a little less knowledgeable but she made a suggestion that I liked the Alvarinho. The wine didn't come out, I had to stop eating and wait. She came back after about 12-15 minutes to check on us and I shared we still had not received the wine. Another person came to check on us I'm not sure who he was but possibly the owner. The linguine was well prepared although a bit salty for my liking. We were warned about the spice level but it wasn't spicy in my opinion. Overall the dish was good. For dessert my partner ordered cheesecake. The reason I'm giving a 4 is because of the slow service after the servers switched out and because the kitchen became quite smoky a few times and I smelt like smoke when we left. I will definitely return and I'm looking forward to the patio when it gets warmer out.
