It's quiet in a snowy Sunday but the environment is clean and inviting. I tried the South African Brut Rosé and while it was enjoyable it had orange wine notes that some people may not be thrilled about. Their wine by the glass list is quite limited and while it is my first time here, my assumption is it's rotating. Not trying the food this time around but it's likely I will be back.

First of all, congrats Era on winning the Rammy's "Wine Program of the Year!!" It's a vibe here! Last week was my first time back in awhile. I'm glad this neighborhood gem is still here! We sat at the bar for wine o'clock! They offer 50% off cocktails and select wines for $10! I enjoyed the red! Jamie was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. She told us about their membership. Sounds like a great deal! I need to come back for brunch soon!

Been wanting to go here for a little while and so glad I decided to pop in here one day after work. It's a nice neighborhood spot that I think is perfect for solo outings, small group gatherings, or date nights. I tried 3 wines: a Dornfelder (red), late harvest Royal Tokaji (white), and a Riesling called sekt fitz Ritter pfalz. These all are sweeter wines and I enjoyed all, but I liked the late harvest Royal Tokaji the best. I also love that they don't just have light bites here. The steak I ordered was cooked perfectly and was flavorful. My friend got the lamb sliders and enjoyed them. We also got the salute charcuterie board that had smoked mozzarella, black pepper pecorino, gorgonzola dolce Prosciutto, bresaola, truffle salami House marinated olives, Lambrusco wine jelly, rosemary focaccia. It was perfect! We sat at the bar because originally I was interested in potentially ordering happy hour drinks (they have cocktails and wine for happy hour), but I ended up not getting anything happy hour related. I believe select wines and cocktails are 50% off at happy hour. Jaime, a lovely team member was behind the bar and she was very nice and knowledgeable about all the wines. She had great energy and a nice spirit as well. I loved it here and would come back! Definitely want to check out their brunch next.

This wine bar is absolutely charming, with an elegant and bright ambiance. Although the brunch menu is smaill, every dish was flavorful and satisfying . The staff was attentive, and the wine recommendation was perfect. I really wanted to take a bottle with me, but I was traveling. I would definitely return dinner next time. There's plenty of street parking available. We had a lovely date night here, with great food and friendly service. I also appreciate the credit payment machine brought directly to the table. The Seared Atlantic Salmon was especially delicious and definitely worth trying.

The lamb sliders are very good.

First time here and we had a good time. The wine is great. And the waiter knew his stuff and paired things well. We went at night, next visit will be in the day to get there brunch.

I really enjoyed my time here at Era wine bar. We had a birthday dinner here and it was fantastic. They had a small quite little room in the basement and we had it all to ourselves. Hors d'oeuvres were delicious. I really enjoyed my seared Atlantic salmon. It had a Brazilian spice and mango salsa on top with some basmati rice. The lamb sliders were pretty good. They had cucumber and red onion and Tzatziki on it that paired well.

Very nice and upscale looking establishment. Though Era is a wine bar, it does look the part of a proper dining venue. Myself and a friend made a stop here on a Saturday evening after hanging at another nearby establishment. We were greeted by a friendly host and opted to sit at the bar. Our Bar Host was equally friendly and very outgoing (wish I could remember her name). She made suggestions in terms of what we might consider ordering which was helpful. We ultimately chose wine flights and a couple small bites (bars). The food was very good and so was the wine. Somehow, I ended up ordering a pecan pie for dessert which I didn't need but was also delicious. All in all, this was a great experience and I would be really happy to go back. Side note, Era wasn't particularly crowded when I got there. I'm not sure if the "word" has officially gotten out about Era, but I do hope that more people patron this wine bar as it is really great.

Had the best experience here! We sat at the bar and we were served by Jamie. She was great and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was excellent, definitely will be back.

Era Wine Bar is a fine gem that showcases rare and unique wines in a very fun setting! Their wines range from all over the world and vary in many different types, including many from countries that one doesn't typically obtain wine from in a normal store/wine bar. They offer wine from Macedonia or Bulgaria: case in point! The service is pleasant and their charcuterie, cheese boards, and desserts are really delicious!

There's a very ambitious, curated wine menu here, along with a curious food menu. I appreciate the attention to details and friendly service. Came to get a drink after work, ended up staying for dinner. Enjoyed two flavorful red wines: one from Bulgaria and another from Italy. Ordered samosas, lamb sliders, and sorbet with prosecco; found the meal to be pretty tasty. Upscale and surprising addition to the neighborhood, just over the DC border, on Route 1. Quality, sophisticated, not inexpensive.

I'm happy I randomly came across this place. A friend and I met here for lunch on a Sunday and we were both very pleased with the experience. We came at about 3:30 so parking was very easy. It's just metered street parking. Upon coming in, I was quickly greeted by the host who informed me that the kitchen opens at 4pm as he escorted me to a table. It was empty when I arrived but quickly started to fill up around 4:30. Since it's a wine bar, they had a wide variety of selections with the option of a glass or bottle. When my friend arrived, the host who was also our waiter walked us through the wine menu. I saw that they had a wine flight selection that I'll have to try for the next time. For the table we ordered truffle fries and samosas (2 pieces). Both were tasty! I'd highly recommend the samosas though! For the entrees, my friend ordered the mussels which came as a fairly generous portion. I ordered the salmon which was good, but didn't necessarily 'wow' me. I was informed that it comes medium so I ordered it a bit more well (just my preference). The rice potion was smaller than I thought it would be but it helped in the end because I didn't feel stuffed. I couldn't leave without getting dessert so I ordered the chocolate mousse cake. I have to say that I am not a mousse kind of gal but I love chocolate- maybe it's the texture. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the cake was. It was the perfect balance of sweetness where it wasn't bitter but also not torturously sweet. Overall, I quite enjoyed my experience here. The food was good, service was great, the inside was beyond aesthetically pleasing and it's the perfect vibe for a chill meal and drink. I highly recommend this spot!

A lovely little gem in Riverdale, MD. Wine menu selection was versatile, something for everyone. Shared plates for the consisted of the Crostini flight (goat cheese and caramelized onion my fave) Swahili samosas were quite tasty. Truffle fries were good, maybe an oil essence was used? I can see this establishment utilizing seasonality for menu inspiration in the future. Ka-ton was very friendly and informative. Looking forward to our next visit!

On a Sunday afternoon after having a late lunch, I suggested we come here and enjoy a beer. My mom doesn't drink but she was open to accompanying me here and just hanging out with me. This spot is chill and they have a lot of beers on draft and a bunch of different styles. If you like craft beers, this is a nice laid back spot to enjoy them. They have also added a bunch of bourbons too and you can get 1 oz pours too. Neat-o! It was colder yesterday with a cold breeze so we sat inside. I ordered a Lil Wit beer and we sat inside at one of their many indoor tables and chatted. They have a few lottery machines here and my mom enjoys playing some of the games so she bought a few cards and we scratched them off together, checked to see if she won or not, talked, laughed and had a fun time. On a really nice day, you can sit outside and they have a great patio space and also covered areas too. This is a popular spot amongst locals. I immensely value the time I have with my mom. I was waiting for my friend to arrive and countless times the staff walked past me without a word or a glance: no greeting, no invitation to see myself, not even asking if I needed help...nothing. Just incredibly unwelcoming. If I hadn't made such a significant time investment trying to secure a parking space, I would have left immediately. After my friend arrived, we flagged down one of the servers who told us that we could seat ourselves outside. We did so and ordered a round of cocktails: an Aperol Spritz for me and Air Mail for my friend, along with a charcuterie board. The seating outside was picnic benches with chipped paint. Our charcuterie board arrived long before our drinks did. We were half done with the board by the time the drinks arrived. The charcuterie board was delivered with no plates and only one napkin for two people. Additionally, because there were no plates, a significant amount of our charcuterie board ended up on the picnic table. The board had lots of items on it and it was very difficult to remove an item or slice some cheese without something else sliding off. The cocktails were decent. Not the best we've had, but also not the worst. They were inconsistent though. The first two I had were much better than the last one, which tasted distinctly different. When we decided to get food, I ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich while my friend got the Cubano sandwich. In most places, when you order a sandwich, fries are included. Not here. But at least my sandwich was served on an aluminum tray. My friend received her sandwich wrapped in paper. No plate; Just wrapped up like it was to-go. Since no fries were included with her sandwich she ordered a side of the chili cheese fries instead. She ate a few of them but I could tell by her face (and the fact that the bowl remained largely untouched after those few initial fries) that they were not good. My sandwich was okay. Just ok. It arrived warm, not hot, so I'm not sure if it was freshly made. Flavor-wise it was a little bland. I think it probably would have been better served just as schnitzel and not as a sandwich. For dessert, I ordered one of their oversized chocolate chip cookies. Again, it was just not good. Chocolate chip cookies are fairly hard to mess up but this one was just... Bad. It had more of a cake-like consistency... And not even very good cake. I took one bite and that was one too many. Between the difficulty finding parking, the general aloofness of the staff, and the terrible food... I'd recommend passing on this place.

It started out good, then it was mediocre, then it was good again. And so on and so forth. Frustrated by the lack of consistency, we stopped going for a while. But now - "it's good again!" On my latest visit, I stuck to the basics: spaghetti bolognaise, a house salad, and a glass of Montepulciano de Abruzzo. Spaghetti bolognaise isn't on the menu per se - but there is bolognaise over gnocchi, and the chef is willing to go with a different pasta on request. I was delighted with the sauce - among the best I have had around town - and the pasta was of good quality and cooked to perfection. The dish was also plated very nicely, in a neat little swirl. Not showy but with care. I appreciated that. The salad was fresh and used crisp apples, not mealy ones. I would have liked a better quality Montepulciano, or perhaps glass a whose shape would improve its robustness, but it was fine. I'm a little worried that what once was a steady clientele has dropped off. The restaurant was only half full on a Friday evening. But I, at least, will be returning soon!
