    Chips and Guacamole
    Angela W.

My friend and I decided to try out Treehouse since we were in the area. I'll start with the positives, my food was actually pretty good. The carne asada tacos hit, and the guacamole was yum although the chips were high seasoned. Our waiter was very patient when taking our orders and attentive. He gets 5 stars! Overall though, I wasn't super impressed. The décor is clearly going for a Tulum vibe, but it felt more basic than expected, maybe TikTok overhyped it a bit. The music selection on our side was lacking, although there are two different sections playing different music, so you can drift between the two depending on the vibe you're looking for. The drink menu is MUCH larger than the food menu, which I found interesting. At the end of the day, it feels like expensive Mexican food with a social media aesthetic. Not sure if I'll return, but I did enjoy trying it out.

Excellent spot for happy hour, especially on a day with lovely weather. My friend said happy hour is ALL day on Monday! They accommodated our large group of ~14 people easily on the patio without a reservation. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a passion fruit margarita which was both strong and delicious. The service is not the most attentive but didn't sour our experience. It's a nicely decorated place with a lot of plants and the sunset view on the rooftop patio was great. Also the hotel it's located in seems super swanky.

Came for an industry happy hour which led to evening dinner and a quick nightcap. Watching the sunset over noma was breathtaking. The space is on the roof of the ground floor hotel space, with the entrance and elevator access being of the side parking and not exclusively New York Ave. The tacos and guacamole were so fresh and tasty and the drinks were just as refreshing. Our group was a bit large so the bartender took awhile fulfilling drink orders, but the kitchen staff was fast and the servers very attentive. Great evening ambiance

Meh at best.Came here with girlfriends after an event. Service was solid; they honored our reservation, accommodated our large group, and were patient even though we were late. No complaints there. Totally appreciated that! Food? Forgettable. Chips and guac were way too salty. Carne asada was just okay. Nothing stood out. The decor is trying hard for a Tulum vibe but feels fake. Rooftop views are nice, but the patio was closed because of the cold weather. Music was bad, and there were random people walking around, making the whole place just feel WEIRD!!! Overall, the vibe just wasn't it. Not terrible, just not "my cup of tea". 100% wouldn't return.

Stopped by when in the area since it was a nice day out. Instantly greeted with a warm smile and menu showcasing happy hour deals. There is indoor seating, a bar, and small rooftop outside. There isn't too much of a view. The interior attempts for a Tulum vibe. Food options were basic for vegetarians. One cauliflower taco on the HH menu. HH pricing was good. $3.50 tacos. Drink specials. Most were dressed very casual, but found it odd to see a random couple walking in with a grocery bag of items and sit on the roof wearing shorts & flip flops. Kinda brought the vibe of the place down. Apparently they are regulars there? I guess it's a mixed bag given it's part of the hotel and can draw all types. Perhaps later in the night it's a fancier feel? Overall maybe ok for a quick drink, but not a place I'd dress up for and wait in line.

My childhood friends and I set a goal to get together once a month, and this month's plan was happy hour. Since I'm on a mission to check out every spot in Union Market, I suggested Treehouse Rooftop--and it was a solid choice The happy hour menu isn't huge, but it has some really good options. They offer three tacos: beef, chicken, and cauliflower. The cauliflower taco was hands-down my favorite (thank you to our server for the recommendation!), followed by the beef. The chicken was a bit dry, but overall the food was still enjoyable. For drinks, we all went with the passion fruit margarita--no complaints there My friends tried the birria tacos along with chicken and beef tacos, and everyone was happy with both the food and drinks. Service really stood out. We were the only ones there for the first 20-30 minutes, but even as more people arrived, our server stayed friendly, attentive, and welcoming--always a plus. The rooftop itself is a good size, and when the weather's nice, the outdoor seating adds plenty of extra space. The decor is simple but on-theme and works well for the vibe. Pricing is another win: tacos were under $4 each, and happy hour drinks ranged from $8-$10, which feels very fair for the area (and refreshing when happy hour actually means a deal). Overall, a great spot for happy hour with friends--especially if you're exploring Union Market

This is a fairly nice rooftop spot located in Northeast DC. The aesthetics are excellent, it's got a greenery/ jungle scene type of energy and the skyline views and outdoor seating are excellent. I was visiting on a Thursday evening during happy hour, it was packed but they've got a decent amount of seating between the bar, inside tables, and the patio seating. The happy hour menu featured 3 taco options chinichurri beef, chili-roasted cauliflower, and grilled chicken ($3.50 each) and cocktails like palomas, passionfruit margaritas, and classic margaritas ($9 each). I ordered a passionfruit margarita and a couple of grilled chicken tacos. Service was excellent the bartenders were attentive and made some really well balanced cocktails. The tacos came out quickly and were better than I anticipated: great presentation, fresh toppings, and the chicken was flavorful and tender. All in all great experience and definitely would recommend as one of the more enjoyable rooftop atmosphere's in the city.

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at the Treehouse Rooftop. We were staying at Hotel Nell and received a drink voucher so we decided to check it out. Everything was on point. We sat at the bar had margarita and some of the best tacos ever. I'm not exaggerating. These tacos were a 10/10. They come in orders of 3 and are your typical street style taco, 2-3 bites. The Mahi were my favorites followed by the chicken. They ran out of the carne asada ones. I bet those were yummy too. My least favorite were the Birria, but they were still tasty. I only wish they had a homemade hot sauce. Street tacos usually come with a salsa verde type sauce and something spicy. We had to settle for Tabasco and Cholula. Can't wait to check them out when the weather nice and the outdoor patio is open. High five to our bartender Chris. He took great care of us!!!

I thought this venue was pretty cute! I enjoyed being in this space, and it was not as noisy as I expected. I went here for a private event, so I cannot judge the service fairly. But things were just okay in my opinion. I tried some food and cocktail, and I thought they were just alright. I'm glad to try as this place was on my bucket list for the longest time. I wouldn't rush coming back anytime soon, but I would be open to try again.

It is a great spot, a bit conspicuous and with a decent view as a rooftop although it has no view of capital or anything like that. Good spot to see sunset. 1. Reservation: necessary. They are busy. 2. Drinks: very good, delicious drinks and comes out fast 3. Food: tacos were amazing. All types were great 4. Ambience: chill yet upscale. All in all, highly recommend this place.

It was a beautiful day outside and we could see for miles They have a very small happy hour menu I got 3 carne asada tacos (not hh). $18 They were just okay. I had a great time here. I was really looking forward to enjoying the views from the rooftop but Mother Nature had her on plans. Nonetheless, the indoor set up was just as good. I came for happy hour and the place had just opened so I had the opportunity to sit wherever I liked. The wait staff was great and the food was excellent and reasonably price. Treehouse is in a beautiful decorated boutique hotel and it oozes great vibes. Apparently if you stay at the hotel you get a free margarita, which is a nice little bonus.

Not saying that dining companions are distracting, but I felt like I could fully experience the flavor of both the Taglioni Neri and Gnocchi, both half portions at $10 each, better on my own. When the dishes came, I saw that the sauces were both red and feared they would taste too similar. After one fork full of each, they are quite clearly distinct. The standout in the Neri were the shellfish for me. Even though they were small bits, the pieces tasted fresh. In the Gnocchi, the saltiness of the prosciutto, though not overwhelming, paired well with the basil sauce. I finished a little more than half of each plate before boxing it up for a small lunch the next day. The service was great and the tall ceiling and windowed dining room provided a nice atmosphere. It was a cloudy and rainy Memorial Day, but I wondered what the sunlight looked like shining through those high windows. How lovely a space they have created to enjoy fine Italian dining in.

However, when we walked in and saw only a couple of tables occupied, I had a feeling it might not live up to its appearance. Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 4/5 Service - 3/5 Food - 1/5 Parking - Street Parking Atmosphere - The restaurant is modern, clean, and well maintained. The dining room is attractive and comfortable, and it feels much more upscale than your average Korean restaurant. Service - Service was adequate. Nothing stood out as particularly good or bad. The staff took our order, brought out the food, and checked on us occasionally. What We Ordered - -Galbi - At over $40, this was by far the most disappointing dish of the meal. I've had galbi at countless Korean restaurants, many of which charge under $30 while delivering significantly better flavor and quality. The seasoning was noticeably different from what I'm accustomed to, and not in a good way. For the price, it felt extremely underwhelming. -Pa Jeon - Just okay. It was a standard Korean pancake that didn't stand out in any particular way. -Tofu Stew - We ordered it mild, but it was surprisingly spicy and excessively salty. The saltiness overwhelmed most of the other flavors in the dish. -Korean Fried Chicken - Unfortunately, this suffered from the same issue. The chicken itself was decent, but it was far too salty, making it difficult to enjoy. Final Thoughts - The biggest issue for me was the value. Nearly every dish felt overpriced for the quality being served, and the excessive saltiness across multiple items made the meal even more disappointing. While the restaurant looks great and has a modern atmosphere, the food simply did not justify the prices. Considering how many excellent Korean restaurants I've been to over the years, this was one of the more disappointing experiences. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

The server was a good dude but told me each patty was an uncharted for an entire burger meal... my order is no bun, no fries, no salad and no fruit.... why the heck would I agree to 25 bucks for a patty as an add on... Ill pay the first hit as a matter of menu price but... not the same for just another patty.. I don't know what sort of vodoo happened here but the good staff figured it out and I got a couple of patties extra without the terrible fee... I did pay extra and thats great. Thank you for figuring it out late at night This is more for management... you got good food and good folks.. fix your POS please.

Breakfast is the same.
