Happy hour
Josie

Excellent spot for happy hour, especially on a day with lovely weather. My friend said happy hour is ALL day on Monday! They accommodated our large group of ~14 people easily on the patio without a reservation. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a passion fruit margarita which was both strong and delicious. The service is not the most attentive but didn't sour our experience. It's a nicely decorated place with a lot of plants and the sunset view on the rooftop patio was great. Also the hotel it's located in seems super swanky.

Came for an industry happy hour which led to evening dinner and a quick nightcap. Watching the sunset over noma was breathtaking. The space is on the roof of the ground floor hotel space, with the entrance and elevator access being of the side parking and not exclusively New York Ave. The tacos and guacamole were so fresh and tasty and the drinks were just as refreshing. Our group was a bit large so the bartender took awhile fulfilling drink orders, but the kitchen staff was fast and the servers very attentive. Great evening ambiance

Stopped by when in the area since it was a nice day out. Instantly greeted with a warm smile and menu showcasing happy hour deals. There is indoor seating, a bar, and small rooftop outside. There isn't too much of a view. The interior attempts for a Tulum vibe. Food options were basic for vegetarians. One cauliflower taco on the HH menu. HH pricing was good. $3.50 tacos. Drink specials. Most were dressed very casual, but found it odd to see a random couple walking in with a grocery bag of items and sit on the roof wearing shorts & flip flops. Kinda brought the vibe of the place down. Apparently they are regulars there? I guess it's a mixed bag given it's part of the hotel and can draw all types. Perhaps later in the night it's a fancier feel? Overall maybe ok for a quick drink, but not a place I'd dress up for and wait in line.

This is a fairly nice rooftop spot located in Northeast DC. The aesthetics are excellent, it's got a greenery/ jungle scene type of energy and the skyline views and outdoor seating are excellent. I was visiting on a Thursday evening during happy hour, it was packed but they've got a decent amount of seating between the bar, inside tables, and the patio seating. The happy hour menu featured 3 taco options chinichurri beef, chili-roasted cauliflower, and grilled chicken ($3.50 each) and cocktails like palomas, passionfruit margaritas, and classic margaritas ($9 each). I ordered a passionfruit margarita and a couple of grilled chicken tacos. Service was excellent the bartenders were attentive and made some really well balanced cocktails. The tacos came out quickly and were better than I anticipated: great presentation, fresh toppings, and the chicken was flavorful and tender. All in all great experience and definitely would recommend as one of the more enjoyable rooftop atmosphere's in the city.

My childhood friends and I set a goal to get together once a month, and this month's plan was happy hour. Since I'm on a mission to check out every spot in Union Market, I suggested Treehouse Rooftop--and it was a solid choice The happy hour menu isn't huge, but it has some really good options. They offer three tacos: beef, chicken, and cauliflower. The cauliflower taco was hands-down my favorite (thank you to our server for the recommendation!), followed by the beef. The chicken was a bit dry, but overall the food was still enjoyable. For drinks, we all went with the passion fruit margarita--no complaints there My friends tried the birria tacos along with chicken and beef tacos, and everyone was happy with both the food and drinks. Service really stood out. We were the only ones there for the first 20-30 minutes, but even as more people arrived, our server stayed friendly, attentive, and welcoming--always a plus. The rooftop itself is a good size, and when the weather's nice, the outdoor seating adds plenty of extra space. The decor is simple but on-theme and works well for the vibe. Pricing is another win: tacos were under $4 each, and happy hour drinks ranged from $8-$10, which feels very fair for the area (and refreshing when happy hour actually means a deal). Overall, a great spot for happy hour with friends--especially if you're exploring Union Market

Mahi Mahi tacos! So freaking good.

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at the Treehouse Rooftop. We were staying at Hotel Nell and received a drink voucher so we decided to check it out. Everything was on point. We sat at the bar had margarita and some of the best tacos ever. I'm not exaggerating. These tacos were a 10/10. They come in orders of 3 and are your typical street style taco, 2-3 bites. The Mahi were my favorites followed by the chicken. They ran out of the carne asada ones. I bet those were yummy too. My least favorite were the Birria, but they were still tasty. I only wish they had a homemade hot sauce. Street tacos usually come with a salsa verde type sauce and something spicy. We had to settle for Tabasco and Cholula. Can't wait to check them out when the weather nice and the outdoor patio is open. High five to our bartender Chris. He took great care of us!!!

I thought this venue was pretty cute! I enjoyed being in this space, and it was not as noisy as I expected. I went here for a private event, so I cannot judge the service fairly. But things were just okay in my opinion. I tried some food and cocktail, and I thought they were just alright. I'm glad to try as this place was on my bucket list for the longest time. I wouldn't rush coming back anytime soon, but I would be open to try again.

Treehouse Rooftop: tacos are amazing here

It is a great spot, a bit conspicuous and with a decent view as a rooftop although it has no view of capital or anything like that. Good spot to see sunset. 1. Reservation: necessary. They are busy. 2. Drinks: very good, delicious drinks and comes out fast 3. Food: tacos were amazing. All types were great 4. Ambience: chill yet upscale. All in all, highly recommend this place.

The ambiance has changed tremendously since my last visit, but food & customer service has remained the same. Those birria tacos hit . Come to find out the chef is from L.A....nuff said

Park in the garage directly behind treehouse. 1st three hours are free with ticket (no validation needed) Sat on the patio, overlooking the city into hyattsville. It was a beautiful day outside and we could see for miles They have a very small happy hour menu I got 3 carne asada tacos (not hh). $18 They were just okay. The tortilla was very soggy and I prob could have used more spice Margarita and Passion fruit happy hour drinks were good

I had a great time here. I was really looking forward to enjoying the views from the rooftop but Mother Nature had her on plans. Nonetheless, the indoor set up was just as good. I came for happy hour and the place had just opened so I had the opportunity to sit wherever I liked. The wait staff was great and the food was excellent and reasonably price. Treehouse is in a beautiful decorated boutique hotel and it oozes great vibes. Apparently if you stay at the hotel you get a free margarita, which is a nice little bonus.

Definitely a great spot for nice vibes and a view. After a night of bar hopping I ended up here, first time it was pretty cool I would visit again to try more drinks and maybe more food but overall the bartender was very friendly and good at his job! Food was 6/10 the shrimp were a little salty for me personally, but my favorite was the chicken tacos for sure a must try! *they have to-go bowls as well for your leftovers

Had an absolutely beautiful night in Washington DC on this rooftop patio. The margaritas on happy hour special were fantastic and the chicken taco was amazing. Everybody told me locally that the tacos were something to try and they were not wrong. Coming from the West Coast... Tacos are a priority And these were absolutely up to par. Do yourself a favor and come hang out on this beautiful rooftop. Not too loud and friendly people everywhere. The staff was amazingly helpful and made me feel 100% welcome even coming from out of town Do yourself a favor go to this place and hang out

Visited the place and the food good. The prices were fair but the service was awful. Not enough servers or bar tenders.

Ask the Community - Treehouse Rooftop

Hey is there a happy hour here?

When i went to visit a few weeks ago, they did not have happy hour. But I was told they were going to start exploring with wine and some beers in the coming weeks. So maybe they have it up and running now!

Is parking available ? Cost?

I think they take reservations but we were able to grab a bar spot. Are drinks pricey? What do you think? It's a cocktail bar in DC. The drinks we tried were pretty tasty, even the mezcal one which I thought was a refreshing take. The wall shows some of the drinks on the menu and the ingredients/glass it comes in which I thought was a nice touch. Bartenders were friendly but not too chatty as they were super busy but you never waited long for a drink. The bourbon drink with the whipped honey was our favorite but the gin drink that was pink was also fantastic. For food I did try the buffalo chicken dip, pretty large and tasty (not too spicy) and loved the super crisp celery and the fritos. Clean, trendy bathrooms, nice vibes throughout the whole spot for pictures, great for a night cap or pre-dinner drink.

They don't take revelations and the place fills up fast. It's a very cute spot and feels so comfortable and fun. Our bartender was Gaylan and he was great--had great reccs, laughed with us a bit, all around great guy. The 'let me just say this' was so soo good! It tasted like a rainbow--just bright and with a really delicious after taste. I should have stopped at the rose but after my trying my friend's, i had to have one! We initially came for happy hour, but moved to the cocktail menu. The hh was a bit limited, but the drinks were priced overall pretty reasonably for the area. My one complaint is the wine glasses were so teeny. Overall though, I would recommend this bar. Bonus: cheese balls when you sit down! I believe there is also a limited food menu (think nachos) for the after work or late night crowd.

The drinks tasted watered down and unbalanced. The banana flavor in mine was dull and overripe rather than fresh and vibrant. The smoke and fire presentation was nice, but the actual cocktails did not justify the $25 price point. The restroom was unacceptable. There was urine on the floor, a strong foul odor, and the surface was slippery. For a speakeasy positioning itself as upscale, this was a major miss. The space is very small and service was just okay. Overall, the concept has potential, but the execution did not meet expectations. I will not be returning.

I know reservations are probably highly recommended, but we were fortunate to walk in at just the right moment and snag a seat. The seating is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening. While it leans a bit on the pricier side, the exceptional service more than justifies the cost. Jordan and the team were incredibly knowledgeable about both the drinks and food menu, offering suggestions that perfectly matched our tastes. We tried two standout drinks that I can't recommend enough: the Attractive Nuisance and El Tiburon, (which is an Old Fashioned made with gin). The bartenders here clearly know what they're doing, each drink was crafted with care and precision. Ambiance: from the outside you'd have no idea that a hidden treasure awaits you up a flight of stairs. The decor was very mysterious, perfectly dimmed, and sexy. They added greenery near the hostess station to create what I would describe as an exotic/jungle vibe. This area also contained a beautiful small bar and a few cozy seatings. Next, the hostess led us to a table inside where the magic of candles, cozy tables, and intimate booths immediately meets your eyes. Did I mention that we sat in most comfy green velvet chairs in our cozy booth? How sexy! Service: our waiter, Jordan, was the best! He provided great service and recommendations. However, shoutout to the rest of the staff because it was truly all hands on deck. Drinks: the bartender is indeed a mixologist! There is no question of the magic he created in a glass. Her drink- I ordered the Attractive Nuisance, an elevated spritz. The drink was perfectly balanced with flavors to include G.H. Mumm Champagne, Avua Prata Cachaca, Cocchi Americano, Saffron, Vanilla. I literally tasted all the flavors in the drink and the liquor ratio was just right. Of course I went with another round, you simply have to try it understand why I did. His drink: El Tiburón-Let's just say that he said that this is now one of his favorite cocktails because it was smooth! Small bites: the kitchen was out of mussels and their famous donuts so we decided to try the Franks en Crute, the sexy adult version of pigs in a blanket lol. Such a delicious treat, well balanced flavors giving both sweet (flaky puff pastry) and savory (well grilled wagyu beef). Definitely recommend. The music was perfect for the evening! The bar was filled with all matured folks enjoying their group meets or dates, the atmosphere welcomed all. As I stated earlier, this has now become a regular on the list and I'm excited to visit again.
