The restaurant has great communication when you make reservations they texted me a code for their free parking about two hours before my reservation although when I got there, there was a man in a booth inside the entrance and told me no code was needed. There was plenty of parking as I had an early reservation for brunch, even though when I left, there was still a lot of parking available so I parked near the elevator that takes you directly up to the entrance. I sat at a table just passed a hostess stand, looking onto Colesville Road. It was pleasant. My waiter, Jhoiner was very pleasant and very professional. He explained how the buffet line worked and took an order from me for a cheese omelette ( they were out of mushrooms). I started with a maid to order waffle while I waited for my omelette, and it was probably my favorite thing at the buffet! They had a variety of toppings, but I just went with strawberries, maple syrup, and powdered sugar. The French toast was also good but nothing out of the ordinary. I had a little bit of all the things I loved, and I was extremely full after an hour. I did however, save room for one of their tiny lemon, posset desserts. They serve this at their sister restaurant in Silver Spring so I was excited to end my meal with this dessert. Tip is automatically added. Even though the menu stated that the tip was 18%, they added 20. I'm not going to fuss over 2% because I was happy with my service. The restaurant got pretty packed, which I expected because of the all-night happy hour. Just keep in mind that the happy hour is only honored at the bar. Their happy hour prices are very reasonable, making it an easy spot to enjoy without breaking the bank. I ordered the spinach dip, which was absolutely amazing, along with the pita and hummus, which was fresh and tasty. The standout for me, though, was the steak and cheese egg rolls, super good! Everything came out fresh, and the service made for an enjoyable experience. An added bonus is their outdoor lounge area, which creates a great atmosphere for relaxing with friends or enjoying a nice evening out. We arrived at approximately 6:45 PM, were seated promptly, and were greeted by our server, Anna. She was pleasant; however, the service we received throughout the evening was extremely disappointing. We ordered drinks to start. My husband ordered a beer, and I ordered a rosé prosecco. When my drink arrived, it was visibly flat. I tasted it anyway and found it to be both warm and lacking carbonation. When I brought this to Anna's attention, she responded, "I noticed it looked flat too; I'll get you another one." Frankly, this was concerning. If she noticed the drink was not of acceptable quality, it should never have been served to a customer in the first place. We then ordered the mussels appetizer, which was excellent and one of the highlights of our visit. Shortly afterward, I ordered the swordfish special, and my husband ordered the shrimp po' boy. Neither dish would typically require an unusually long preparation time. Unfortunately, what followed was nearly an hour of waiting with no communication. Anna never checked on the status of our meals, nor did she provide any updates. Meanwhile, we watched multiple tables who were seated after us receive their food and complete their meals. By 7:45 PM, with our concert approaching, my husband suggested that we ask for our meals to be packed to go. It quickly became apparent that our entrees had not even been prepared. When Anna finally returned, she told us it would be "another five minutes," indicating that our meals had not yet been cooked despite being ordered nearly an hour earlier. At that point, we had no choice but to take the food to go so that we would not miss our concert. As a result, we ended up eating cold food later that evening. What made the experience particularly disappointing was that we had genuinely been excited to visit your restaurant. We had heard good things and were looking forward to a memorable dinner before our evening out. Instead, we left feeling overlooked and wondering what we had done to warrant such poor service and lack of attention. To my surprise, my husband--who is incredibly kind and non-confrontational--still left Anna a 20% tip, despite the fact that the service did not merit it.
