I truly enjoyed Commas Food Hall! I loved the variety of food they have here and they have a bar! The space is very open, had a lot of seating, and is aesthetically pleasing. I think it's great that they have local businesses and not chain restaurants here, it allows you to make an impact by supporting those small businesses. We enjoyed: Chicken Flautas from J&J's 9/10 Tacos from J&J's 9/10 TK Cheesesteak from Tokoa Cheesesteak 10/10! Chicken dumplings from Momo Hub 8/10 Catfish Po'boy sandwich from Claude Have Mercy 1000/10!! Let's not forget the delicious cocktails! They have so many specials at the bar and a large variety to cheese between. There is something for everyone here.

Ooooh a new food hall! If you remember Le Fantome (RIP), you may recognize some staff and cocktails at the bar here. I haven't been a good month and a half and I'm sure new spots have opened up, but there was still a good amount of things there when I visited. Some things were familiar, and some were totally new to me. I've had Momo Hub at their food truck and was quite frankly obsessed back then -- so it was nice to have them again. I'm no stranger to Tokoa Cheesesteaks since their brick-and-mortar isn't far from my home... great sandwich! And J&J has popped up in a few other food halls, so I've had and enjoyed them. The new one to me is Tato's, which makes some creative and custom french fry, sweet potato fry, or tater platters for you. I was so stoked to see a Jamaican one on the menu -- and of course I got it lol. They were fantastic, I love them. There is plenty of seating in the food hall, and there's an automatic dispenser for beers and ciders... you don't see those too often! And according to their site, looks like there are still some stalls on the way... and I appreciate the maps they have available. Looking forward to paying them a visit again in the near future!

I absolutely love calm food hall, especially the DJ scene at night on Fridays. It's a great social place to go. Great place to play games. Get good drinks a happy hour eat amazing food and it's right in the downtown area of Silver Spring. There is street parking but I would suggest that you get there early enough to find you a good space it's definitely a great new gem in Silver Spring and I encourage you to check it out!

Food was good and service was great! We tried momo hub and tatos and enjoyed the food. We got the momos and while it was a like spicy, it was delicious. The loaded fries were perfect and comforting. You can choose a baked potato, wedges or fries and load them up with a protein, sauces and toppings. Overall it was great, just a little pricey! I look forward to trying more options.

I went on a whim on a Wednesday night. I initially came for a cheesesteak but it was closed. All of the other businesses were open as far as I saw. They were having a karaoke. I decided to try one vendor before I left because I all the way over there to eat. I tired the taco place...decent prices, but the flavor wasn't there I was actually really disappointed . I will come back to try the momos and Claud have mercy. The food hall is beautiful, quiet and Parking is easy to find. I didn't have a great first food experience but I'll give it another spin.

This was my first visit to the food hall that occurred on a Saturday afternoon. It was not crowded. Only 6 out of 12 food vendor spaces were occupied. I tried J & J Mex-Taqueria and ordered 2 fish tacos. It took 20 minutes to wait, but the cook was not busy with many orders. The tacos were good, but small when compared to tacos at Cafe Rio or California Tortilla. The dining area is large and clean. There is a water machine that dispenses sparkling or regular water. The restrooms are not separated into men and women sections, but are shared. Hope to see more food vendors occupy the spaces so there is more variety.

Amazing food hall! Everything we've tried here is amazing. I think our favorite is Tatos but the others are great too. The drinks are very good too and they have cocktail and food pairings as well as a craft beer wall. Definitely beat the now closed Solaire Social on that.

Great food hall atleast 6 options several area to sit. A lot of cuisine ranges from African to Asian. They also offer free water and sparkling water. They have tvs around with subtitles as well

What a gem in a sort of sleepy mall food court! We tried a few things - the standouts were the Momo Hub dumplings and chatamari and the loaded Mexican baked potato from Tatos. I'd definitely be back to try a few more things. The live music was also a hit - made it feel more like a date night and less like a food court. ;)

I also got a mushroom lasagna and it didn't feel hot enough/ didn't taste amazing after the first few bites. But hoping it's a one off and would like to try some other things. We weren't the biggest fan of the chicken sandwich (I think it was called the chicken royale?) we got either- it just didn't work with the combination inside the sandwich. Seemed like there was only 1 person running the whole downstairs (and maybe training someone else) but he was a burst of sunshine keeping it together. Because of the 2 dishes not really hitting the mark but fish and chips are great id give it between 3 & 4 stars! Will come back for the fish & chips and try something else as the atmosphere was lovely and service was nice. Also looks like they have nice deals for every day of the week at the upstairs portion.

The only odd thing was that our server seemed to change halfway through our meal without anyone mentioning it. The fried green tomatoes (not pictured) were excellent and definitely worth ordering if they're on the menu. Overall, good food, great atmosphere, and a spot I'd recommend if you're in the area before a show.

Found garage parking at Silver Spring Metro Station Parking Garage (It's less than a block away from The Republic Garden or Society). 2 hour ParkMobile spots (Monday-Friday 7a-10p) and then Free any other time, including weekends. So we didn't have to pay for parking. Plenty of parking. As we ventured out of the Parking lot, we heard reggae music and saw this place on the corner and stopped in. It was a $20 cover charge to get in. Cash, ApplePay, Cashapp. etc. they take it all to enter Place was split in 3. You walk in and thru a narrow area where general dining was. The middle section contained the bar and plush seating (where we were) with some TV's. The Back room had the DJ and seating for Hookah. Lounge/Restaurant reminded me of a narrow townhouse but there was still plenty of space to sit/stand/walk around Pics of the current menu and prices are attached to this review. I had a Blue MF'er to drink and it was small but Strong - only need one. My friends also said their drinks were good and strong too I didn't get any food, but my friends got the Strew and Jollof Rice and said that was good, along with chicken wings. Food seemed to take a long time to come out There was a live DJ spinning class early 2000 music, dancehall, and reggae music of today and a bit old. I would absolutely come back for that DJ alone. Around midnight, the place started to fill out a bit more with folks. There were even laser lights and smoke/fog coming out of a machine in the middle room. Pretty chill Bar seemed a bit slow and possibly understaffed waitress, but everyone was very helpful and patient. Prepare to pay for food and drinks upfront. We also had to order food and drinks at the bar Not sure, if it's any relation to the old Republic Gardens in DC but this venue has been only maybe only a few years Left around 1 and the place started to really jump

We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which were rich and flavorful, followed by the Grand Marnier Society Wings--a standout appetizer with a great balance of sweet and savory flavors. The Mac & Cheese was creamy and made for the perfect side. For our entrées, we ordered the Calypso Pan Seared Branzino and the Coconut Curry Snapper. Both dishes were served with vegetables of the day, rice and peas, and sweet plantains, creating a well-rounded and satisfying meal. The seafood was cooked well, and the Caribbean-inspired flavors added a unique twist to each dish. For drinks, we enjoyed The Pearl, the Lavender French 75, The Golden Hour, and an Old Fashioned. Each cocktail was well-crafted and paired nicely with the menu. We finished with the Warm Cookie Skillet, topped with vanilla bean ice cream and a caramel drizzle. It arrived warm, gooey, and was the perfect dessert to share. Beyond the food, the renovated space feels modern and inviting, making it a great option for date nights, celebrations, or a night out with friends. The restaurant has great communication when you make reservations they texted me a code for their free parking about two hours before my reservation although when I got there, there was a man in a booth inside the entrance and told me no code was needed. There was plenty of parking as I had an early reservation for brunch, even though when I left, there was still a lot of parking available so I parked near the elevator that takes you directly up to the entrance. I sat at a table just passed a hostess stand, looking onto Colesville Road. It was pleasant. My waiter, Jhoiner was very pleasant and very professional. He explained how the buffet line worked and took an order from me for a cheese omelette ( they were out of mushrooms). I started with a maid to order waffle while I waited for my omelette, and it was probably my favorite thing at the buffet! They had a variety of toppings, but I just went with strawberries, maple syrup, and powdered sugar. The French toast was also good but nothing out of the ordinary. I had a little bit of all the things I loved, and I was extremely full after an hour. I did however, save room for one of their tiny lemon, posset desserts. They serve this at their sister restaurant in Silver Spring so I was excited to end my meal with this dessert. Tip is automatically added. Even though the menu stated that the tip was 18%, they added 20. I'm not going to fuss over 2% because I was happy with my service. I'm looking forward to coming back for happy hour in the near future.

Buttermilk Fried Oysters -- 8/10: Really good, and I especially loved the dipping sauce. Crabcakes -- 10/10: Every single one was perfect. Easily my favorite thing we ordered!
