Beautiful decorations as you walk through the mall.
Joy B.

I couldn't believe my review was 7 years old, so time for a new one. Westfield Montgomery Mall is 58 years old, but it doesn't look it. It has had a few facelifts and developmental changes. Some of the anchor stores have gone. But, we still have my favorites Macys and Nordstrom. The small stores inside the mall have seen a lot of changes. We have the food court, which has grown and expanded. You can get sushi, burgers, dumplings, and subs to name a few. These stores are usually a good value for the money. Everyone from children to adults will find shops that cater to their needs. I shop here all the time and I highly recommend it.

I've been coming to Montgomery Mall since I was a kid, and watched how much it's changed over the years. I've seen so many stores come and go, and while I wish it was more lively with more stores, it still has the essentials like Nordstrom, Sephora, J.Crew, Victoria's Secret, Zara, Mango, Coach, Urban Outfitters, to name a few. They've recently added Uniqlo and an Andy's Pizza is coming soon to the food court. One thing Montgomery always does well is their seasonal, especially during the holidays. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing their decorations this season!

I've been going to Montgomery Mall for years. Although I have moved across the river (VA); I make it a point to shop here if I am in the area. The mall is upscale, modern and clean. I like the amount of stores here. Recently I found out one of my favorite online retailers Mango just opened up a store here; I had to stop in. The store had good selection of their Summer collection and I was able to do a return and buy some cute dresses. The ladies who worked there were friendly and helpful. Stopped by the food court to grab lunch at Shake Shack. The food court had a major face lift and it looks so nice and upscale. Great selection of food vendors too. There's a Lucky Strike on the bottom level. Westfield Montgomery Mall is a great place for shopping and dining. You don't get the crazy crowds like Tyson's but you still get access to many popular stores like Zara, Nordstrom, etc. I will keep coming back as this place is very nostalgic to me.

This is a great size mall with many of the landmark businesses either as part of it within walking distance like Costco, Macy's, Target, Party city, Dick's, theatre, and more. I also like the variety of the restaurants they offer in addition to the ones inside the food court. Most of the time this mall is not very busy which nice in a way, so you don't need to fight the long line when just to grab something simple. And we like to walk around here whenever we can & always end up spending some unintended $$ There is ample parking around the mall. However, whenever they have events like the carnival or bouncy house festival, a large part of the parking lot will be taken, just be aware. And the traffic in this area can get hectic at times. @WineDinenVacay do recommend this mall.

Great place to take a stroll, especially in this heat. Love the plethora of decadent food choices at terrific value. Could use more selection of retailers, though; lots of places are shuttered. I don't understand why. Montgomery County is one of the most prestigious, well-educated, and highly sought-after places to live for the upper class and elites, and Bethesda, most of all. Just ask current County Executive Marc Elrich!

I only went to mall 1 time. I felt uncomfortable and left. Tysons Corner 1 was a lot more welcoming and safer.

Dog friendly ? Leashed vs stroller?

I'm not sure if it's official, but for the past two times I went this week, there's was a lot of dogs in the mall. I think it's up to individual stores to allow dogs or not, but they're allowed to roam in the mall itself. At first I thought they… Read more

There are three components, none of which are physically or logically cohesive: (a) the shopping strip portion which is spread out and disjointed, (b) the retail/office building which is outdated and houses an eclectic group of businesses that - again - don't correlate to each other, and (3) a brand new outlier short strip housing a small handful of mostly upscale trendy eating establishments. Oh, and there's a ridiculously overpriced gas station tucked away in the back far corner (behind the retail/office building). The good news: despite its awkward configuration, it's super convenient to the surrounding neighborhoods and has some strong "staying power" stores like Giant, Starbucks, and a large CVS. Local businesses also have a great presence, like Toy Castle and a memorabilia shop in the r/o building, Baskin-Robbins, California Tortilla and a bagel shop. Great option if you want to avoid the chaos of Westfields mall or Rockville. They're also remodeling the shopping strip. Would be better if they swapped out and got some different businesses with more draw than the vacuum store and Pet-Valu (which doesn't have much of a selection other than for dogs and selection/price-wise is not really competitive with PetSmart or Amazon). They also need to upgrade the retail/office building.

The owners exacerbated the parking problems tremendously by putting in too many stores. CAVA opened a store and then opened up another one in Montgomery Mall two miles away. The property owners got rid of Broadway Pizza which was a Potomac Institution. I am furious. The new condos in the back take up even more parking. Carl Friedman who developed Cabin John would not support this.

Chuy's is no longer up and running which is a major bummer because their happy hour was fabulous. There's several smaller stores and then there's Trader Joe's. Which if you know anything about TJ's you already know the parking will suck. Ross, Micro Center, TJ Maxx, and Dollar Tree are also located in this plaza. The stores themselves aren't the cleanest which is why I don't visit frequently. If you're looking to quickly run into any of these stores I recommend going to other locations. By the time you park and get everything you need it'll be at least a half hour. There is another parking lot down below the Micro center but it's also pretty full most of the time.

I recently took a visit to one of the spots within Pike & Rose and when I rolled into one of their garages to grab a ticket at the entrance, I was caught off guard. Not only was there no button to press for a ticket; I noticed the setup was completely different to when I last saw it (I don't visit very often). The screen prompted me to enter my phone number, but since I was new to this whole setup, I decided to bypass that prompt entirely. It showed me as being anonymous and I noticed a 4-digit code popped up on the screen for me to remember. As I parked, I quickly noted the code and the time I entered. After taking care of things, it was time for me to head out. As I proceeded to leave (ready with the 4-digit code it gave me earlier), and pulled up to the garage exit, I noticed the bar to the gate rose up without me doing anything. So, I left. It wasn't until later I realized it must have scanned my license coming in and leaving. Good to know. The space for the old Tower Records has been taken up only to shutdown two times that I can remember.  Today I learned that Barns&Nobles has taken up residence there. Even though it is only one floor,  the space is huge.  Tower Records had some problems filling the space, but they did it with the jewelry section, the adult videos/magazines section and the standard magazine sections.   I think Barns&Nobles won't have a problem filling the space.  I know there is a Starbucks store at Congressional Plaza akready,  but I have a feeling another one might be added inside the Barns&Nobles store at some point...if there isn't one already.
