Her positive energy in the midst of an uncomfortable situation was a testament to her leadership. In addition, our server, Naphtali, was very patient and attentive. His soft-spoken and peaceful demeanor added to our ability to ultimately have an enjoyable outing. Again, Bianca, thank you so much for all you did to make our evening enjoyable.

Today we took a drive to Kaldi's to order some breakfast to-go. The restaurant was really packed but the ordering process was actually pretty smooth. We ordered their 12oz lattes, my drink was modified to add a splash of almond milk. The lattes sadly weren't anything special and could probably benefit from some cinnamon or a flavor of some sort to bring a little personality to the drink. To eat, we ordered their waffles (sorry for the to-go pictures) I ordered the sweet corn waffle and my boyfriend ordered the waffles with fresh berries. The waffles were PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!! Probably the best and most creative waffles I've had in a long time. The sweet corn waffles were magical. The addition of jalapeño peppers perfectly balanced off the sweet flavor seeping through the waffles. It was beautifully paired. The waffles were also very creamy and soft. Only downside is that I didn't care for the random garnish of corn of top but I get the presentation. This might have been better if it was seasoned or sautéed but the random corn didn't add or take away from the dish. My boyfriend lovedddddd his waffles and berries and said that it was the perfect breakfast selection. I'll definitely come back to order more waffles but also wished that they had a way of conducting pick up through their online portal. As mentioned, it was packed in there but there were some nice seating around the restaurant so I assume that you'll need to get there really early in order to dine in. I sat at a table just passed a hostess stand, looking onto Colesville Road. It was pleasant. My waiter, Jhoiner was very pleasant and very professional. He explained how the buffet line worked and took an order from me for a cheese omelette ( they were out of mushrooms). I started with a maid to order waffle while I waited for my omelette, and it was probably my favorite thing at the buffet! They had a variety of toppings, but I just went with strawberries, maple syrup, and powdered sugar. The French toast was also good but nothing out of the ordinary. I had a little bit of all the things I loved, and I was extremely full after an hour. I did however, save room for one of their tiny lemon, posset desserts. They serve this at their sister restaurant in Silver Spring so I was excited to end my meal with this dessert. Tip is automatically added. I just can't find any Wow factor that kicks it up to four. Sangria is excellent but the meal was just good.
