I'm not the biggest fan of a dive bar, but I'll truly make an exception for QH... ... and that's because of their vegan wings! I've never had vegan wings like this before and they honestly hit the spot each time. Along with their homemade ranch. I've tried other food items like their grilled cheese and nachos, but I'll definitely always order the vegan wings when I'm here. There's a huge selection of beers and whiskey. I'm not really a fan of either so I usually opt for a seltzer or cider. The happy hour deals are pretty good too honestly!

We weren't the biggest fan of the chicken sandwich (I think it was called the chicken royale?) we got either- it just didn't work with the combination inside the sandwich. Seemed like there was only 1 person running the whole downstairs (and maybe training someone else) but he was a burst of sunshine keeping it together. Because of the 2 dishes not really hitting the mark but fish and chips are great id give it between 3 & 4 stars! Will come back for the fish & chips and try something else as the atmosphere was lovely and service was nice. Also looks like they have nice deals for every day of the week at the upstairs portion.

I then wanted to try their sambusas which they also didn't have -- but I settled on chicken tenders and jollof rice and THAT was delicious. I'm sure it's different when it's crowded, but it was a chill time in there, and there's apparently a back area too that you can kind of see from the front. It was a $20 cover charge to get in. Cash, ApplePay, Cashapp. etc. they take it all to enter Place was split in 3. You walk in and thru a narrow area where general dining was. The middle section contained the bar and plush seating (where we were) with some TV's. The Back room had the DJ and seating for Hookah. Food seemed to take a long time to come out There was a live DJ spinning class early 2000 music, dancehall, and reggae music of today and a bit old. I would absolutely come back for that DJ alone. Around midnight, the place started to fill out a bit more with folks. There were even laser lights and smoke/fog coming out of a machine in the middle room. Pretty chill Bar seemed a bit slow and possibly understaffed waitress, but everyone was very helpful and patient. Prepare to pay for food and drinks upfront. We also had to order food and drinks at the bar Not sure, if it's any relation to the old Republic Gardens in DC but this venue has been only maybe only a few years Left around 1 and the place started to really jump

We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which were rich and flavorful, followed by the Grand Marnier Society Wings--a standout appetizer with a great balance of sweet and savory flavors. The Mac & Cheese was creamy and made for the perfect side. For our entrées, we ordered the Calypso Pan Seared Branzino and the Coconut Curry Snapper. Both dishes were served with vegetables of the day, rice and peas, and sweet plantains, creating a well-rounded and satisfying meal. The seafood was cooked well, and the Caribbean-inspired flavors added a unique twist to each dish. For drinks, we enjoyed The Pearl, the Lavender French 75, The Golden Hour, and an Old Fashioned. Each cocktail was well-crafted and paired nicely with the menu. We finished with the Warm Cookie Skillet, topped with vanilla bean ice cream and a caramel drizzle. It arrived warm, gooey, and was the perfect dessert to share. Beyond the food, the renovated space feels modern and inviting, making it a great option for date nights, celebrations, or a night out with friends. If you're looking for an elevated seafood experience with Caribbean-inspired flavors, Society Seafood is worth checking out.

The restaurant has great communication when you make reservations they texted me a code for their free parking about two hours before my reservation although when I got there, there was a man in a booth inside the entrance and told me no code was needed. There was plenty of parking as I had an early reservation for brunch, even though when I left, there was still a lot of parking available so I parked near the elevator that takes you directly up to the entrance. I sat at a table just passed a hostess stand, looking onto Colesville Road. It was pleasant. My waiter, Jhoiner was very pleasant and very professional. He explained how the buffet line worked and took an order from me for a cheese omelette ( they were out of mushrooms). I started with a maid to order waffle while I waited for my omelette, and it was probably my favorite thing at the buffet! They had a variety of toppings, but I just went with strawberries, maple syrup, and powdered sugar. The French toast was also good but nothing out of the ordinary. I had a little bit of all the things I loved, and I was extremely full after an hour. I did however, save room for one of their tiny lemon, posset desserts. They serve this at their sister restaurant in Silver Spring so I was excited to end my meal with this dessert. Tip is automatically added. Our server was friendly and he let us know that he was brand new. That said, he was a little awkward and not confident in what he was doing, so he definitely needs some work.
