The place is not empty. I was just avoiding photographing anyone. It's early and most people are in the dining area and at the bar with me.

Okay. They lost a star because of the bar staff at Olivia's. Young girls...probably inexperienced...had me sitting at the bar for like 15 mins (felt like it anyway...) UNATTENDED! AND I was even giving these youngins mad eye contact!!! C'mon ladies...get wit it! Ah well, they're young...either they'll get it or they'll find another job. Thankfully the hookah dude with the lush beard and smooth chocolate skin came to my rescue. Aside from the touch and go customer service...this space is Bomb!!! The breeze coming through is everything and coupled with the reggae blaring smooth and crisp from the speakers, I can see myself getting some nasty dutty wines all up and thru here. Nice rum punch, good food, good views and comfy lounge space! Olivia's view is a winner just polish up that bar staff, remind them, they are here to welcome patrons and not reunion with each other and it should be ALL good!

    Taste pomegranate drink. Recommend!

Dining areas are in several room spaces, instead of 1 big cavernous hall. There is a bar room as well as a tavern in the basement. Outdoor lawn has plenty of tables and lush greenery, perfect for a good weather day picnic. Our group was in a bigger room and a few steps downstairs from the bar area. Waitstaff was professional and helpful. We first ordered drinks, then starters. We ordered entrées after drinks and starters arrived for good pacing. Several of us shared a Skyfall Cabernet Sauvignon. It was smooth and fruity. We shared pimento cheese dip with veggies and bread triangles, bread basket, burrata and spiced cauliflower. All were excellent, Star was the burrata, so creamy and had pesto with it. My entree was a prosciutto sandwich with fig spread. The sandwich was on ciabatta bread. It held the sweet fig spread, savory prosciutto and soft Brie . Very filling and yummy, and came with crisp fries. Everyone loved their food. Some had dessert and coffee afterwards which was also top notch.

The tables in the Tavern were a little close together, and we apparently bothered the group beside us -- once a booth opened up, they moved, and honestly we were relieved the duds were gone. As for appetizers, the mussels, meatballs, and burrata were all top notch. The bread basket was just okay, and the chicken wings could've been much crisper. The wine, however, was divine. Great vibe overall. We will be back.

My cousin and bestie were in town and wanted a true DC brunch/day party vibe, so we gave it a shot and overall, it was a good time. When we arrived, we ordered mimosa pitchers and were directed straight to the buffet. The food spread was huge: waffles, pancakes, French toast, made-to-order omelets, chicken sausage, pork sausage, bacon, fried chicken, jerk chicken, shrimp, grits, collard greens, mac & cheese, breakfast potatoes, salmon, fresh fruit, and more than I can even remember. The variety was definitely a highlight. I wish they had real food utensils instead of plastic. The mimosas, however, were very juice-heavy and pretty weak . We ended up switching to bottle service so we could enjoy real champagne, which was much better. The absolute best part of the experience was our server, Noah kind, attentive, friendly, and fine AF . She made sure our drinks stayed flowing and kept us informed about our table time so there were no surprises. Top-tier service. The space itself is large with two levels. We initially thought we'd be seated downstairs, but due to a private event, we were directed upstairs. You pre-pay for the food at the door before being seated, while drinks are paid for at the table. Hookah is also available for an additional cost. Overall, I'd definitely go back especially on a Sunday when I don't have work the next day. It's a fun spot for the 30-something crowd looking for good food, music, and a lively day party atmosphere.

The mimosas are incredibly watered down. 2 Don Julio shots was $50 and served in plastic cups. The restaurant downstairs looks more VIP in comparison. The staff seemed unhappy about working but the manager was cool.

The Society Restaurant and Lounge was listed as a brunch buffet but they no longer have a buffet, which was great for me. When you walk in the ambiance was a nice relaxing vibe. I felt overwhelmed with all of this great food but I enjoyed every bit of it. We sampled the mimosas and it was just average so we ordered a carafe of rum punch. The rum punch was a hit. A perfect blend of juices and rum. After brunch we went upstairs to their rooftop brunch party with a live DJ. We danced and danced and had more drinks. It was an awesome brunch and brunch party. The only downside is the restroom is on the first floor. So you have to walk down to go back up but it's worth it. This is definitely a place you need to check out for yourself. Next time I am in Maryland I will be back.

The booth offers curtains and the ability to adjust your lighting and music.... lovely bonus. We ordered a lot: Shrimp Cocoktail -9 Crab balls - 9 (wish they were more or bigger...comes with 5) Steak Frites - 8 Chicken - 8 (didnt care the root vegetables but the flavor, overall, was great) Scallops - 7 (great flavor, some were under. I appreciate the staff because anything we did not like they took back and removed it from the tab. I did enjoy the wings though. If you are looking for a place to meet a friend for a drink at happy hour I would say come but maybe not focus on the bar bites. Again this review is only for their happy hour. That's an added bonus that elevates the whole experience. And with their frequent diner program, you can rack up points on your visits and redeem them later for dollars off your bill, which makes an already good meal feel even better. My Go-To's: Spinach & Artichoke Dip One of the best around. It's always cooked just right, never underdone, never burnt. Great flavor and perfectly creamy. And yes, I'm the one mixing it up with salsa and sour cream for an extra flavor kick. Fiesta Eggrolls A flavorful favorite. Rotisserie Chicken Salad Think Tex-Mex salad loaded with all the good stuff. I love, mixing the BBQ sauce with the chipotle blue cheese dressing, it's the perfect sweet-smoky combo. It used to come with cornbread croutons (which were such a nice sweet touch), so now I just order a slice of their delicious cornbread on the side. Chicken Pot Pie Comfort food done right. Rattlesnake Pasta It almost gives Rasta Pasta vibes, but without the heat. Creamy, flavorful, and filling. Barbecue Ribs Tender, saucy, and satisfying. Key Lime Pie One of the best. And the fact that they sell it whole? Dangerous! Pineapple Upside Down Cake My new favorite. Nice and moist and comes à la mode. Don't just take my word for it. Check out "Copper Canyon Grill" and experience it for yourself! Mmmm... Bon Appetit! Cheers! Enjoy!

In March 2018, my girlfriend at the time wanted to go here as there was a group of people going for St. Patrick's Day. We went here along with her young pre-teen daughter. They almost weren't going to let us in, but my g/f assured we just needed to eat, and they said since it was before 9 PM, it'd be ok. I enjoyed my Shepherd's Pie, a solid option here. After eating, there was dancing on the dance floor and a couple of people I knew. Then, my g/f went out to the dance floor. I'm sitting at the table with my g/f's pre-teen daughter who fell asleep. It was awkward for me especially since someone asked me if she was ok, and I said she's just tired. We left sometime in the midnight hour. But the fact of the matter was that my g/f shouldn't have put her daughter in that situation. On a positive, her daughter graduated high school & is still alive today in 2025, so her mom did something right. The other time I was here was in February 2023. The servers were friendly and prompt, and cheerfully gave us separate checks when it was time to pay. But, unless you like your beer warm, the drinks may disappoint you. My beet salad with goat cheese and grapefruit was beautifully described on the menu - enough to seduce me to order something that was not an Irish classic - but was not enjoyable enough to finish. The fries were good though, and the fried fish that others ordered looked to be perfectly done. So perhaps I'll come back when I'm in the mood for some classical fare. Too bad about the beer though.,,
