[[HIGHLIGHT]]Every year on Mother's Day, AllSet becomes our family's go-to spot for a joyful celebration, accommodating our large group of 14 to 16 people with ease.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is always festive, and we indulge in an amazing array of drinks, with the Perfect Storm being my personal favorite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The appetizers, especially the fried oysters and mussels, disappear in seconds, setting the stage for the delicious main courses that include their Mother's Day specials like fried chicken, crabcakes, salmon, and fish and chips. By request, they even brought back the fried Oreos, which were absolutely delicious Each visit leaves us happy and satisfied, making AlISet a cherished tradition where we create unforgettable memories together.

Overpriced food, quality OK. Don't get the hope about this place. My clam chowder soup came in a very small cup, there were no clams just potatoes and crackers. I have ordered the Cobb lobster salad. It was a Cezar salad with sliced boiled egg and lobster. The blue cheese and lobster did not make any sense. You don't serve cheese with seafood. Service terrible, one of my co-workers ordered another lemonade that did not come until the meal was over. The server tried to sign a Christmas song and tipped herself 22% without asking. Not OK and not recommending this place.

I used to come here all the time, but it has been a while! I came with a group of friends on a Saturday early afternoon (12:30), and we were one of the only couple of parties inside...I will say, it got busier when we were leaving around 2:30 though. I got the Seafood Pasta which was played beautifully. The flavor was pretty good and the serving size was great - had plenty left over for lunch. I also ordered the Basil Gin Ricky, which I don't think is on the menu anymore but is still a favorite. Another friend got more of a seasonal drink that looked delicious, I think the Wicked Good Morning. I would like to come back soon for HH because that used to be my favorite! One of my friends got the Steak & Eggs but didn't know there would be pieces of meat (brisket?) in the eggs.

MR Bake's Preview Party at All Set The world famous, Kareem "Mr. Bake" Queeman hosted a viewing party with his friends at All Set. We, as friends and fans were thrilled to be invited to watch an episode of the Halloween Bakeshop on the Flavor Network, where he is a judge, They had some delicious items on the menu for purchase, the item I wanted to try (jerk salmon) was unfortunately sold out. They had great drinks that were sparkling, and raised the excitement while we waited to watch the preview. To celebrate they had a few desserts available to everyone in attendance, gourmet full-size cookies, mini cupcakes and banana pudding. It won't be a party without desserts. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was fun watching the baking competition.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think the best part of the evening was when Kareem gave inspiration thoughts about his journey and encouragement for those on similar paths.

This is a new staple in my rotation! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Food, service, and ambiance are up great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came here a few years ago and it was a pleasant yet unmemorable experience. However, I went a couple of times recently and have had a positive experience each time. During the last visit, we tried the oysters and loaded fries from the happy hour menu and the smash burger and the fish and chips from the regular menu. During the most recent visit, we ordered the oysters again, jerk skewers, slow smoked honey sriracha wings, Caesar salad, and regular fries all from the happy hour menu! The burger and fish and chips were decent flavor wise but satisfied hunger! The oysters, loaded fries, and slow smoked honey sriracha wings are outstanding!!! They give you a great amount of the toping for the loaded fries. The oysters are $1 each for happy hour and great quality meaty oysters. Def recommend All Set for happy hour!! Drinks are great and flowing. The Boston tea party, hi bish, and pretty in pink were all delicious and strong!! Service is prompt. They sometimes get busy and might have to track down any server for service but they are all helpful! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is beautifully decorated and clean and restrooms are maintained well![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I have walked past this restaurant on the way to The Fillmore from the Spring-Cameron parking garage countless times, but decided this past Sunday would be the day I stop. I ended up being late for my reservation and the hostess was warm and accommodating over the phone. My waiter was attentive without being overbearing, and I had pleasant interactions with the rest of the waitstaff. They have many happy hour drinks and food options to choose from in a wide range of prices. I appreciated the balance of seafood and non seafood options across both the happy hour and dinner menu. I had plans afterwards so I didn't get to stay as long as I wanted, but I had an excellent time and will be back again to try all the food/drinks I didn't get to try.

Kicking off Black History Month with the Books and Bubbles Book Club at the perfect Black-owned restaurant for a Cheers-style bar experience! Whether you're looking for a mix-and-mingle work event, a night out with friends or family, or even a low-key date, All Set delivers. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, attentive, and personable--from the hostess station to the bar and everyone in between. A special shoutout to Genea, who made our experience truly memorable! If you visit soon, you can take advantage of Restaurant Week, the all-day happy hour in the bar area, or the regular everyday menu--all of which offer fantastic options. And speaking of the menu, the crab cake and smoked wings are absolute must-tries! The food is delicious, the prices are fair, and the atmosphere is a whole vibe. This place is a must-visit--try it out and let me know what you think!

I went on Sunday. They have a weekend happy hr!!!!! That is unheard of! I was elated! I was able to try a bunch of different small plate item and I didn't even have to break the bank. I was here for a birthday Happy Hour. The decor is cool and kind of intimate with the low dark lights. The place is not big at all and tend to get crowded due to the happy hour being 5pm-close. -The wings were not good at all. They were so huge and bland but was salty on the top (If that makes sense) lol... -The calamari were good. - I ordered oysters but never received it, but my brother said his oysters were good. - kale salad was delicious. I opt out of the kale and replaced it with arugula (The bomb) - Snapper and rice were delicious I always expect a great tasting margarita during happy hour and never get it lol. Taste liked juice. I would go back to try it again. The 3 star was because it was okay...

We've been coming to All Set for years and it always hits! Although the BBQ was good, I'm glad to see the menu has gone back more to the original one (more of a seafood focus). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside nautical atmosphere and decor are great, we also love sitting outside (they have TVs out there usually playing sports if that's what you like!).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our top hits include the lobster cobb, old bay wings (literally the crunchiest wings you'll ever have!), the chick pea fries, lobster roll, crab cakes, and fried shrimp. Overall if you're looking for a classy and fun dinner spot with great food and drinks would absolutely recommend!

We visited here for father's day. The staff was friendly enough, left a little to be desired. The food was delicious and good temperature and warrants another visit. I enjoyed the oysters and my steak and fries. The Boston creme dessert was also lovely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The guests there were on the loud side which made the experience with my dad a little uncomfortable but won't keep us from coming back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Celebrating our daughter's graduation we chose this restaurant which was perfect from ambience to the fantastic appetizers and wonderful entrees. The menu selections and variety would suit any pallet. The many beverage choices to complement your meal as well. The servers lead by Jazmin, were so helpful to inquire of food allergies and graciously provided accordingly. The food presentation was beautiful and all meals were served hot. To say the least, our dining experience was so good and would highly recommend this restaurant for any date night to group gathering. They won't disappoint.

One of my favorite BBQ places in DC. Not quite the same as the BBQ in the South, but I'll take it!…read moreThe service was pretty fast cooking up my order and serving to me. There's plenty of seating indoors and in the covered patio area. The one thing I wish about this place was that they serve desserts like banana pudding! Definitely recommend folks to swing by though

The food was very overpriced for the portion sizes (it was laughable what I ended up getting for what I had paid) and is it just me or are others getting tired of immigrant staff members who have not and or refuse to command the English language working in the front having communication hurdles and obstacles with you over a basic order, this issue is happening with more Black owned businesses as well as others. Look ladies and gentlemen cheaper does not always mean better, but I digress. The food came out surprisingly very fast which to me I had noticed with skepticism as there is a lot of processed type of meats here. The sandwich relies on a lot of bread, and cheese (brisket) with very think slices of meat, so it is like eating a grilled cheese sandwich. The potato salad had big chunks of pickles and even though I know potato salad at restaurants are not going to taste like homemade version a lot of the times, but still the level of attention to detail was missing a bit with chucks in the potato salad. There should be regular fries not just spicy and same with beans. The restaurant caters towards the White and foreign gentrification of the city by ignoring and distancing itself from the Black community of the city. The transient dollar always wins, as Shaw is the most intensively gentrified neighborhood in DC for good reason. I would personally stick with Mission BBQ and maybe Famous Daves chains, if you are not going to be a homemade pit master or cook yourself those ribs for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Sometimes you want to treat yourself from always cooking in the kitchen, but gosh can these places step their game up and stop selling out? What is next we will have raisins and fruit in our potato salad? I came in excited thinking this place was going to be amazing, but there needs to be a bit of improvement with the food quality. The bartender was friendly, personable, and had great energy which is a plus, but the take out experience was worst than mediocre. It is one of those one and done spots. I gave it a shot, but felt uneasy and disappointed, something just seemed off with the experience honestly here.
