Fried Chicken & Cornmeal Pancakes
Marce D.

Overall, brunch was okay. There were a few things I enjoyed, but there were also some areas where the experience could have been better. We arrived around 11 a.m. and didn't have to wait long. The restaurant seemed to get busier as we sat there, so I can see it becoming more crowded as the usual brunch rush picks up. My breakfast was good. I ordered a basic breakfast with French toast and eggs, and I was happy with my food. When I asked about adding cheese to my eggs, the options were white cheddar or American. That was fine, although I would have liked regular cheddar as an option, too. The mimosa flight was a highlight! It came with three different juices or purées and a bottle of champagne, which two of us shared. There was plenty for both of us, and we each got around two to two and a half drinks out of it. Definitely a nice option if you want to try different flavors. The biggest issue was that our food wasn't served hot. All of our meals were lukewarm, and one person in our party actually had to send hers back to be reheated. My food was good overall, but food coming out hot should be a basic expectation. Our server also seemed unsure of the answers to several questions we asked. When I requested honey mustard for the chicken tenders on the kids' menu, she seemed surprised by the question and had to check whether they had it. They didn't, but thankfully, barbecue sauce was available. If you serve chicken tenders, it would be nice to have more than one sauce option besides ketchup. One thing I want to point out for anyone dining with a group: check your bill for the automatic 20% gratuity. There were four of us--three adults and one child--and the gratuity was already included. We nearly left an additional tip because we hadn't noticed it. I'm not a fan of automatic gratuities when they aren't clearly brought to your attention, especially when you're trying to determine an appropriate tip based on the service. The food was decent, the mimosas were good, and the wait wasn't bad. However, the lukewarm meals and inconsistent service kept this from being a standout brunch experience. I wouldn't necessarily rule it out for another visit, but I wasn't wowed.

I met my friend here on Sunday and arrived before her and was seated at a table for two in a line of four two-seat tables in which one side was bench seating. It was comfortable but a little close to your neighbor. Our server came over and was very sweet and friendly. She explained the background of the restaurant and how it's based on comfort. I was disappointed that they couldn't do espresso drinks in decaf so I ordered a chai latte because the caffeine in chai doesn't seem to impact me as badly as coffee. It was creamy and had a nice spice. It was a little small, though. My friend wasn't happy about not having decaf espresso but ordered a hot drink and seemed pleased with it. She had a salad and I had to try the eggs Benedict. I was mostly happy with it. I loved that there was plenty of Hollandaise sauce. The eggs were cooked perfectly but I would have liked my English muffin more toasted. You can choose one side and I went with fresh fruit. The fruit was perfectly fresh and sweet. Just excellent. In the time we were there (about 90 minutes) it had gotten crowded and there was a wait. My friend had not quite finished her coffee and they asked us to leave. This was rather annoying but we got the check, payed, and headed out. Overall, I liked the ambience, the food was solid, but the above average prices and lack of decaf espresso are downsides. I would consider going again because it's a nice place and I'd like to try some other dishes.

The food was soooo good! Service was quick and the vibes were great. If it's your first time, the strawberry French toast is delectable. The regular French toast is also cooked perfectly. The brussel sprouts are flavorful and delicious. The buffalo wings are also good. I'd pick the Brussels over the chicken though. I'd def def def come here again!!!

Great food, nice atmosphere and great service but very, very loud that made it hard to hear the person I was sitting across from and even hard to hear the servers. They have some unique dishes there. I got a little bit of everything. Yes, that's what the dish is called. It came with two eggs, a meat, crispy bacon for me, a side, I ordered hash browns and a pancake or French toast. I ordered the pancake. We were sitting right by the door that kept opening and closing, so I got a hot tea, which was just what I needed. My friend ordered two eggs, bacon, toast and grits. But with her meal they didn't put any butter on her toast and her grits had so much cheese in them, she couldn't eat them. Good place but way too noisy to have a conversation. The ceilings don't seem to absorb any noise.

Decided to check this place out for the first time for brunch, as I live in downtown Silver Spring. My fiancé and I came at around 1 PM, and it was PACKED. Gorgeous aesthetic on the inside, and they have quite ample seating outside as well. Because they were so packed inside, we decided to opt for outside seating. The wait time was about 20 minutes, so not bad and they gave us the device that vibrates when our table is ready. I had a good experience here, the food is good. The waiter was great and tended to us very well. My only hiccup about this place is that they do not take reservations, and considering how busy they are, it would be helpful for the customer to be able to book time to eat here rather than depending on walking in, which isn't feasible considering how popular this place is.

This place was a spur-of-the-moment stop for my boyfriend and me. We wanted something filling but not too heavy, and we were looking for something that wouldn't break the bank. The ambiance was nice, and it's in a great location with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was also friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was that our food came out cold. The cheese on my eggs had slid off and settled into a big glob on the side by the time the plate reached the table. The French toast was okay--nothing mind-blowing, but definitely still edible. They had a few other French toast options that sounded like they might have a little more flavor, so I'd probably try one of those next time. The potatoes tasted good, but some pieces were pretty hard, almost like they weren't completely cooked through. Again, everything being cold really took away from what probably would've been a much better meal. The lattes, though, were really good! I finished mine pretty quickly because it was honestly delicious. Overall, I'd be willing to come back and try some of their other dishes. I'm hoping the cold food was just an off day because the place itself has potential. I'd love to return and have a meal that comes out hot and find that one dish that's actually memorable enough to write home about.

Service very friendly. Love the renovation from when it was El Sapo, and then vacant for many many months. Food was very tasty and filling. A nice, casual and chill brunch out, especially in summer. Here's the thing though: There are not a lot of soft surfaces therein to absorb sound, so even with the windows open, if you're inside it's LOUD. 2) While we liked the chairs, the tables are just too big by 1.5 to 2 inches length-wise and width-wise for all the people they cram in. When we first sat down, I was up against the table, because the person at the table behind me couldn't move in further without being uncomfortably up against her table. When she left, I moved and was much more comfortable. They literally just need to have slightly smaller tables throughout. you're CRAMMED in there.

The service was top notch, greeted immediately, sat at the bar and the staff was so friendly. The music and atmosphere is just perfect. The food came out very quick and didn't seem like it was just microwaved. Everything was made to my specifications and the Maple Fashion was one of the best I've had in a long time. Highly recommend eating here for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

Went to Easy Like Sunday for a lunch catch-up with some friends. Since I recently started working in the Silver Spring area, my friend was looking for places nearby for us to try, and this was definitely a nice find. The restaurant had a good flow of people coming in and out, which is always a good sign. The service was great, and I especially appreciated seeing the manager walking around and checking in to make sure everyone was doing okay. I ordered the avocado toast and a matcha, and I really enjoyed both. My friends ordered the breakfast sampler and liked most of it, although the grits were probably the one thing they were a little questionable about. Overall, the service was quality, the atmosphere was nice, and the food was good. Definitely a solid spot in Silver Spring that I'd visit again. Sign may be hard to see so know it's across from Whole Foods

(4.15) ~ very good overall food & service. Note: Parking garage nearby & they do NOT take reservations. DRINKS: ** French Press Coffee = (4.25) Very good Offering ** Orange Juice (OJ) = (4.15) very good * Water (tap) = (3.75) Good, but needs to be filtered;) FOOD: ** Brunch Burger (sunny & see photo) = (4.25) Very tasty ** Home Fries (w. Onions) = (4) very good & you have to ask for the onions;) ** Hummingbird Bread Pudding (see photo) = (4) very decadent *** CHILAQUILES = They should add a Green Chili Sauce option too;)

I really enjoyed Easy Like Sunday. The vibe, service, food, drinks and prices were all great. I had the short rib hash and Banana Brûlée French toast, both flavorful and delicious. The portions are great for sharing. The drinks were also good and I'd highly recommend the espresso martini. The only downside is that they don't take reservation but since the service is fast the turn around is pretty quick. This place is perfect for a brunch date, catch up with a friend or just a solo day.

Sooo good! It was super busy when I went so I sat at the bar solo! The bartender was amazing and although I'm not a shrimp and grits person the dish was so good and perfectly seasoned! My rose cocktail was a 10/10 along with my Biscoff iced coffee! The only negative was the gnats around the bar, that was a bit frustrating having to cover my food when I wasn't eating, other than that my food and service was top notch!

Yohana G.

Great spot for brunch! I came here recently with a group of friends at around 1:30pm, and despite how busy they were we were seated within 30min- which wasn't bad considering we were a group of 7. The food was pretty solid and they had a wide range of choices, especially ones for those with a sweet tooth, with alot of savory fusion options as well. The inside is also very classy-modern with wide open spaces, super cute green decor! Our waitress was the absolute sweetest, I don't remember her name but she did an amazing job and gave my friends great recommendations for coffee!

Today we took a drive to Kaldi's to order some breakfast to-go. The restaurant was really packed but the ordering process was actually pretty smooth. We ordered their 12oz lattes, my drink was modified to add a splash of almond milk. The lattes sadly weren't anything special and could probably benefit from some cinnamon or a flavor of some sort to bring a little personality to the drink. To eat, we ordered their waffles (sorry for the to-go pictures) I ordered the sweet corn waffle and my boyfriend ordered the waffles with fresh berries. The waffles were PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!! Probably the best and most creative waffles I've had in a long time. The sweet corn waffles were magical. The addition of jalapeño peppers perfectly balanced off the sweet flavor seeping through the waffles. It was beautifully paired. The waffles were also very creamy and soft. Only downside is that I didn't care for the random garnish of corn of top but I get the presentation. This might have been better if it was seasoned or sautéed but the random corn didn't add or take away from the dish. My boyfriend lovedddddd his waffles and berries and said that it was the perfect breakfast selection. I'll definitely come back to order more waffles but also wished that they had a way of conducting pick up through their online portal. As mentioned, it was packed in there but there were some nice seating around the restaurant so I assume that you'll need to get there really early in order to dine in. Overall, I'll return and hopefully I can try another beverage.

The restaurant has great communication when you make reservations they texted me a code for their free parking about two hours before my reservation although when I got there, there was a man in a booth inside the entrance and told me no code was needed. I started with a maid to order waffle while I waited for my omelette, and it was probably my favorite thing at the buffet!
