We stood at the podium for 10 minutes and servers and the hostess passed us several times without acknowledging us or sitting us. We had a reservation. I ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich and subbed the reg eggs with egg whites. My dish came out great. I loved the spicy sauce it was accompanied by. My friend had the oxtail grits which she's had before and loved it. My rating is mostly for the initial walk on and experience. However, our food and server was good! There's street parking in the area but there's some homelessness in the area and feisty so just be diligent and careful.

Today we took a drive to Kaldi's to order some breakfast to-go. The restaurant was really packed but the ordering process was actually pretty smooth. We ordered their 12oz lattes, my drink was modified to add a splash of almond milk. The lattes sadly weren't anything special and could probably benefit from some cinnamon or a flavor of some sort to bring a little personality to the drink. To eat, we ordered their waffles (sorry for the to-go pictures) I ordered the sweet corn waffle and my boyfriend ordered the waffles with fresh berries. The waffles were PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!! Probably the best and most creative waffles I've had in a long time. The sweet corn waffles were magical. The addition of jalapeño peppers perfectly balanced off the sweet flavor seeping through the waffles. It was beautifully paired. The waffles were also very creamy and soft. Only downside is that I didn't care for the random garnish of corn of top but I get the presentation. This might have been better if it was seasoned or sautéed but the random corn didn't add or take away from the dish. My boyfriend lovedddddd his waffles and berries and said that it was the perfect breakfast selection. I'll definitely come back to order more waffles but also wished that they had a way of conducting pick up through their online portal. As mentioned, it was packed in there but there were some nice seating around the restaurant so I assume that you'll need to get there really early in order to dine in. Overall, I'll return and hopefully I can try another beverage.

They are typically overrated and overpriced. Let's start with I had 11 am reservations. The brunch is supposed to start at 11. The place opens at 11!! We arrive on time. We are told the brunch buffet is only offered on the roof. If you are disabled, you can not participate in the buffet unless you have a runner that's going to fix your plate and bring it back to you. There is no elevator. It's two flights of steps straight up. Although online it says the brunch starts at 11 the food is not actually ready until after 11:30! We're there almost a whole hour before we could eat. To say I was becoming hangry was an understatement. Once we finally made it upstairs to eat, my disappointment slowly started to change. We sat outside on the balcony. The weather was perfect and the sun was touching at all the right points. The view was appreciative. The service was great. Devon was super sweet and checked on us often. Kat came from downstairs to check on us. I truly appreciated her an understanding where I was coming from (she makes some potent drinks too). The dj had the vibe completely set. The groove was there and everywhere. The foooooood! Five star flavor. This brunch was the ultimate comfort food for me. The only thing missing, for me, was sweet potatoes. The collards were delicious. The Mac was macing as they say. The salmon was seasoned to perfection. The fried chicken did what it was supposed to do. The grits were a little too cheesy for me but they were cooked with understanding. I would come here again but stay on the first floor. The drinks and the food are both second trip worthy. I could drink with Kat all day. I probably have to uber home tho lol

I've tried other food items like their grilled cheese and nachos, but I'll definitely always order the vegan wings when I'm here. There's a huge selection of beers and whiskey. I'm not really a fan of either so I usually opt for a seltzer or cider. The happy hour deals are pretty good too honestly!

We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which were rich and flavorful, followed by the Grand Marnier Society Wings--a standout appetizer with a great balance of sweet and savory flavors. The Mac & Cheese was creamy and made for the perfect side. For our entrées, we ordered the Calypso Pan Seared Branzino and the Coconut Curry Snapper. Both dishes were served with vegetables of the day, rice and peas, and sweet plantains, creating a well-rounded and satisfying meal. The seafood was cooked well, and the Caribbean-inspired flavors added a unique twist to each dish. For drinks, we enjoyed The Pearl, the Lavender French 75, The Golden Hour, and an Old Fashioned. Each cocktail was well-crafted and paired nicely with the menu. We finished with the Warm Cookie Skillet, topped with vanilla bean ice cream and a caramel drizzle. It arrived warm, gooey, and was the perfect dessert to share. Beyond the food, the renovated space feels modern and inviting, making it a great option for date nights, celebrations, or a night out with friends. The restaurant has great communication when you make reservations they texted me a code for their free parking about two hours before my reservation although when I got there, there was a man in a booth inside the entrance and told me no code was needed. There was plenty of parking as I had an early reservation for brunch, even though when I left, there was still a lot of parking available so I parked near the elevator that takes you directly up to the entrance. I sat at a table just passed a hostess stand, looking onto Colesville Road. It was pleasant. My waiter, Jhoiner was very pleasant and very professional. He explained how the buffet line worked and took an order from me for a cheese omelette ( they were out of mushrooms). I started with a maid to order waffle while I waited for my omelette, and it was probably my favorite thing at the buffet! They had a variety of toppings, but I just went with strawberries, maple syrup, and powdered sugar. The French toast was also good but nothing out of the ordinary. I had a little bit of all the things I loved, and I was extremely full after an hour. I did however, save room for one of their tiny lemon, posset desserts. They serve this at their sister restaurant in Silver Spring so I was excited to end my meal with this dessert. Tip is automatically added. Even though the menu stated that the tip was 18%, they added 20. I'm not going to fuss over 2% because I was happy with my service. Buttermilk Fried Oysters -- 8/10: Really good, and I especially loved the dipping sauce. Crabcakes -- 10/10: Every single one was perfect. Easily my favorite thing we ordered! The restaurant got pretty packed, which I expected because of the all-night happy hour. Just keep in mind that the happy hour is only honored at the bar. My photo doesn't do justice to how much chicken was on the salad, which was a lot. The salad was delicious. I ordered the blue cheese dressing and the barbecue sauce on the side. The blue cheese dressing is amazing with chunks of blue cheese in it. This salad is my favorite. Very Bliss cocktail: I was going to order a nonalcoholic beer, but our server, Ash, recommended this cocktail, which I ordered but asked to make it minimally sweet.
