Work nearby and recently tried for the first time for happy hour. Got a very reasonably priced and tasty bottle of California red accompanied by the Brie and prosciutto crossaint. The crossaint didn't taste quite as fresh as some of the other nearby bakeries but it was good nonetheless and the overall preparation and taste was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff inside also.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be back as it's a nice low key place to meet and socialize.

If you want the best ceviche in the area, Downtown Brews will deliver, amongst many other things. This place had an amazing vibe, great service, and delicious food. I tried the cider they had on draft which was the best, and I don't usually drink ciders, but it was the perfect level of sweet and crisp. For snacks, we tried the chicken causa and octopus causa, topped with ceviche, both phenomenal. Loved everything about Downtown Brews and can't wait to be back.

Chef Luis is amazing in this very cool understated beer/wine shop and cafe. Excellent coffee, beer on tap and homemade sangria that beats all the Spanish places in Rockville. But the food! Great menu of high-quality tapas, ceviche, causa and artisan sandwiches! Today I had the causa trio and it WOW'd me just like everything I've had here over the past six months. Found this new place in Rockville MD. High end Peruvian dishes. Current menu is focused On light fare. Also offer coffee and desserts, wine and beer to go.

Well. I've had ceviche in Portugal, Spain and Puerto Rico. This presentation was not only beautiful but had some amazing add ons. Crunch, smoothness and complementing flavors on the side. I had, and highly recommend the Mixto. So glad I will be coming back!!

This is a quick review because I'm on the go, but we loved our time here, we had wonderful service and food! My partner and I came in to cowork! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have stable internet, relaxing music and friendly staff![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the cookie latte (only $4) and two arepas. The prices were very reasonable for the latte, they have oatmilk almond and regular milk. Regarding the arepas, both were fantastic! I got the chicken salad (it was a hot day!) and he got a beef one, the flavors were both strong and refreshing. Learned that this spot is a good place to come after work too since they also sell wine and beer. Turns more into a happy hour kinda spot. Coffee, beer, wine, juice something for everyone. The menu changes. I ordered the chicken panini which is not usually my favorite but this was so delicious!! I can't wait to go back for another one. Such a cute spot!! We came to grab a drink, somewhere more peaceful than a bar but cozier than the wine shops that have seating. THIS WAS THE PLACE! It's almost like a coffee shop where you could possibly do work during the day but they have wine and beer! They did have some great mix playing over the speakers when we went at night. There is no menu board or printed menus, you'll be handed an IPad to browse through. At the register, they'll take your order and bring you what you ordered. The store has a great beer selection and the wine they had by the glass was pretty good. Since it is smaller, they only had 3 bottles of wine to choose from but I'm sure they rotate options. The thing that we really loved is that this place has food. We started with the boards, we got one meat and one cheese board - Nothing crazy special but they were great with our drinks. We ordered a causa and it was okay. I think the kitchen is new to this establishment and it just took a really long time to get our food. I gave 2 stars since I HAD to give a rating! I just called to see if the Chicken Causa and other Peruvian Chicken dishes are Gluten Free. I was told that this restaurant NO LONGER makes any of those and only serves sandwiches now. I am SORELY DISAPPOINTED! read more

It is kinda like a chicken curry (very modest heat, all white meat) on a bed of rice. The people next to us had some ceviche and said it was excellent as well. Food: The food I've tried so far here is like tasting gourmet food at a coffee shop. I am surprised at how good and well presented the food is. All the previous reviews are now irrelevant since this place no longer serves Peruvian food. It's a wine bar. They do have sandwiches and croissants, i tried one of their croissants with prosciutto, it was warmed up and cut in the middle, making it convenient to eat, tasted quite good. They have cappuccino too. The nice thing about this bar - every wine bottle you see on their shelves you may try by the glass at a reasonable $8. per glass. I was looking for the sparkling wine for upcoming Christmas and New Year and tried different ones, eventually i discovered the wine I liked. In this bar there is no guessing game. You don't need to buy the whole bottle taking a chance if you like it or not. Try by the glass and buy what you enjoy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Apart from that, this is a nice quiet place to chill if you need time for yourself or if you want to come for a drink with a friend or girlfriend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is free after 6pm and on weekends free all day in the metro parking lot at the end of the street. read more

We came here on a Friday night after seeing great reviews. The place is informal, we saw after work groups and couples. The place has one of the best ceviches in existence. We also did a cheese plate and a potato dish, all great. I was pleasantly surprised when I asked if they had a vino verde in stock, and yes they had an excellent bottle for us. Since Downtown Brew's has opened, I have been several times. Each experience thus far has been lovely. The staff members are charismatic, knowledgeable, and passionate. They are more than eager to answer any questions and ensure their customers have nothing short of a wonderful time. The beer and wine available for purchase has been selected carefully and organized wonderfully. Similarly, their draft menu covers all the bases with roughly five beers on draft including a Pilsner, an IPA, an Irish ale, etc. This cafe is the perfect spot to grab a drink and hang out. read more

The vodka sauce was flavorful but could have been a little spicier. The veal was tender but there needed to be more seasoning present. The pasta was tasty too. The carbonara had shrimp that were cooked ideally and was just a well put together dish. Again, the pasta was cooked to my liking. Will I go back? I would.

As for the service - our waitron did not seem to enjoy working here and was a bit surly. We had to hunt her down when we wanted a second drink. Overall, this is not a bad choice if you are in the area and looking for a sedate vibe with hit-or-miss food and a good wine list.
