    Grapefruit Flower Oolong

It's no secret, I love bubble tea. We stopped by here for a drink pick-me-up. You can either order with the cashier/bobarista or at the two kiosks and can specify ice/no ice, sugar level and toppings. I originally planned on getting the guava Yakult but it wasn't an option so I went for the grapefruit oolong tea at 75% sugar. The sugar level was just right and it was a refreshing mix with fresh grapefruit pieces in it. The shop is pretty small so probably not the best option for a large party dining in but for a fast and quickish bubble tea option this is a good place to go. Details: - Limited indoor seating - Indoor and outdoor seating - 500 ml, 700 ml, 1000 ml drink options - Caffeine free options listed - Kiosk ordering - Pastries available

After grabbing my coffee, I wandered next door to check out SecreTea--and I'm glad I did. It's a charming little shop that Boba lovers will definitely want to visit. While bubble tea isn't quite my cup of tea (pun intended), the food looked appetizing and well-presented. The staff were welcoming and attentive, greeting me as soon as I walked in and browsed around. You can place your order at the counter or use the self-serve kiosk, which is a nice touch for those who prefer a quick, contactless option. In addition to food and drinks, the shop also offers some fun retail items like bags, cups, and earrings. Overall, it's a cute spot with a warm vibe--even for someone just popping in out of curiosity.

I am very glad I came back to try their new menu items as the owner suggested! The Thai tea with Thai tea pudding was very good and made in store. It's a huge difference to have Thai tea made with actual tea vs the premade powders that are usually too sweet and way more artificial tasting. They use their own Thai tea to make the pudding too and is a great add on for even more flavor in every sip. The tea is not too sweet and very good. The cheese foam was a thicker than in my last drink but very yummy too! 4/5 Would definitely come back to try their other drinks or order this again

Very cute boba shop with a wide array of food options. I did not order food though many of the croissants looked very tempting! I tried the rose milk tea with boba. I enjoyed the tea, the flavor was subtle but very nice! I was not as much a fan of the boba

First of all, I saw people talking about the strawberry heart Boba and had to make my way over to this Boba shop. This place was so cute and the staff are very friendly. They did have other food like croissants and things that nature which I'm sure were amazing, but I didn't think that they had any gluten-free options so I didn't ask. I got the four seasons with the lychee popping Boba and strawberry Boba. Overall, the drink was really great. I was very excited for the strawberry Boba and it didn't disappoint.

(Overall: B) - While the specific drink I ordered seem quite medicore, I felt that their menu has some interesting and innovative items that could be worth another shot; the ambience is also quite nice and I love the cute boba figure outside. (Blossom to the Cloud: C) - This was a cherry blossom themed drink that tasted like milky strawberry soda with cherry popping boba. While the flavors were pleasant, I felt like it was missing that fresh fruit flavor that would give the drink a bit of vibrant life. Further, for such a fantastical name of a drink, I feel like there was missed opportunity to elevate suh a drink in terms of presentational color. -- Food: E Presentation: E Price: E Atmosphere: +1 Service: E Menu: +1 Overall: +2 B Insta/Beli: @amei_eats

    Strawberry Matcha Milk Tea

Updated: Carol reached out to me regarding my previous review. Having to come from LA to visit a 4.0-rated boba place definitely has caught my attention and I had high expectations. She admitted the drink that was made (strawberry matcha latte) was an error on her team's end, and asked us to give SecreTea another try. We are glad that we did, as Carol & Greg was open to our suggestions and recommendations. It definitely tasted better than the previous visit we had encountered. Thank you, Carol, for your customer service and your willingness to make sure your customers are satisfied. We hope to visit again soon!

Got the strawberry green tea and while I loved the strawberry heart topping, the flavor was pretty artificial tasting. The interior is super cute though. Definitely a cute spot for a college town!

A small bubble milk tea shop near the GWU campus that is a hidden gem. Besides their delicious milk tea flavors (although their tea could be stronger) and perfectly chewy pearls/boba, what I think they excel at are their croissants. We tried their boba croissant and their monk temple tofu croissant, both of which were quite delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice and they decorate for each season (and have seasonal drinks). There's limited seating inside and a few tables outside, so most people usually have orders to go. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, although there are 2 kiosks as well from which one can place an order. Another specialty of theirs is the rabbit foam that can top a drink. Unfortunately, they weren't able to do that when we came, but otherwise, for $3 it adds a cool aesthetic. Note that their secret milk tea is a version of black tea with their own blend of milk (simple syrup and milk). It was on the sweeter side even with 50% sugar, so take heed.

    Strawberry Dirty Milk w/ Boba

SecreTea has delicious boba and an adorable atmosphere. The inside almost makes you feel as if you've been transported into a marble garden. The seats are also very comfortable. I ordered the strawberry dirty milk. Still not entirely sure what dirty milk is, but it tasted like good ol strawberry milk tea so I can't complain. Three of us ordered with no one else in line ahead of us and our order was done within minutes. SecreTea is also not a chain restaurant, so you would be supporting the local community by eating here. Would highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!

On our recent trip to DC we stayed at the hotel in the same building as SecreTea and thought we'd give it a try before we headed back home! A short walk around the outside of the building and you've arrived! Perfect spot for a light breakfast or snack anytime of day. A very nicely decorated shop with a few tables and a high top bar with a handful of chairs made for a cozy spot to enjoy your drinks and snacks! I went with the Honey Mango green tea and an Egg and Cheese Croissant, both made perfectly!! The tea was a perfect balance of sweetness and flavorful. The croissant was warm and flaky with a perfectly cooked egg and gooey cheese in the middle. My girlfriend got the Brown Sugar Milk tea and it was delicious as well! The staff were super friendly as well. Would highly recommend for anyone in the area!
