I'm a baker so I normally don't like to buy baked goods but I've seen so many good things about Chip City I figured I would give it a shot! I got 3 cookies and ordered on GrubHub (it was really rainy outside and didn't feel like walking over). I got a chocolate chip, a smores cookie, and a dairy-free Biscoff cookie. The s'mores cookie was delicious -- enough sweetness without being too sweet though I wish they used marshmallow fluff instead of mini marshmallows on top. I think that would've made the cookie better! The chocolate chip was great too (better than Crumbl) and the Biscoff was shockingly incredible for being dairy free! read more

Stopped by for a sweet treat after dinner out and was quite impressed with the variety of cookies!! I ordered the Brookie and it was a fantastic blend of their brown sugar cookie and their chocolate brownie. AND they are served warm! The portions are very generous for one and even split to share. For six cookies, it came out to just a little over $30. The cookies were delicious with crispy edges and soft underbaked centers. Cookie craving on a Sunday; Crumble was closed so when typing in Chocolate chip cookies in uber eats Chip City was next in line. I have never heard of this spot. But took a chance on delivery. It was buy one get one free so we got 2 CC cookies and 2 cookies and cream. Delivered in a cute box. Cookies are thick and gooey. Didn't need much warming up but we nuked them in the microwave for 15 seconds. Hubby and thought they were delicious! And cured the craving! :) Would definitely give them a shot! read more

This location is right outside of Barnes & Noble in Clarendon which is fun - books and cookies are a great combo! I got the Banoffee cookie, which was the flavor of the week and my fave, followed by the Smores. I wasn't as much a fan of the dark chocolate peanut butter one. Overall the cookies were good but a bit too on the "done" or crispy side for my preference - it's like they went in the opposite direction of Crumbl which I often think is too underdone or doughy. Apparently I'm the Goldilocks of cookies, who knew! I did see they sell sundaes with their cookies though so I might try that next time to soften the cookie a bit. read more

Showed up around 8PM, a lot of the cookies we saw available online that enticed us to visit weren't actually in stock anymore. We ended up choosing a few Christmas special cookies. A dark chocolate cookie, a baklava cookie and an Italian almond flour cookie with raspberry filling. I really wanted to like this spot but despite how badly I was craving sweets, these cookies really were not good. The texture was much too firm. The baklava cookie tasted like a regular sugar cookie. We came in randomly for a cookie on a Monday afternoon. I got the cookies and cream cookie. These cookies are so big. But they are also delicious. They're not overly gooey in the center like some cookie places offer, which I like. When they are too gooey, They taste undercooked. These cookies are pretty dense, but still soft. We split one cookie between three people. You could take one down on your own if you want, but it could be a bit much. It had a great flavor and I thought it was cooked well. I had to deduct a star because they do not have military discount. But aside from that they did offer me a taste of a new cookie which was espresso churro and boy it was delicious! I got 6 cookies and it came out to 29 which was from the tax of course but a 6 pack cost 27 and some change. The cookies are all thick boys which have soft centers. For a cookie shop chain, I expected the reviews on Yelp to be a 3 or 3.5, but surprised to see it at a 4.5! We got the brookie (not too sweet, but it was on the staler end) and the s'mores (super soft with a gooey, marshmallow center that we all loved) along with a 16 oz. of milk. Now, that milk is from Harris Teeter and no flame on HT dairy products but they're selling a pint of it for 3.25 here. RIP. But hey, convenience, right? The concept of this cookie store is probably my favorite type of store (similar to Crumbl). On a weekly basis, the store rotates through various types of cookies. This gives the customer a reason to keep updated with their cookie selection. Especially cookie lovers. This was the first time I tried Chip city, and I was not disappointed. The staff was full of energy and gave me some recommendations as I chose my selection. I tried the Cookie Butter with Bischoff, Triple Chocolate and Cookie and Cream. All great flavor. My son and I placed an online order for the 3 box special Sunday night at the Clarendon location. We were excited to try this place out for the first time. When we arrived we stood there awkwardly while the employee behind the counter ignored us, no eye contact no greeting nothing. It took so much to get to this place and trying to locate it. It is in a cute little shopping center called the Crossings in Clarendon. I got to see many other places before arriving to my destination. It was a very clean store and the smell of the cookies immediately hit you when you open the door (in a great way!). I was lost for words with all the choices and the worker really talked me through it and was patient with me taking my time. He also sealed my package for me and make everything neat for carry out. I didn't get a chance to try their coffees but I did notice they had cold brew in case anyone is interested.
