I stopped here with my son before baseball practice nearby. Parking is easy in the garage despite surrounding construction. It was around 4:30pm and it was just the two of us in there for awhile. I had the new lemon-blueberry parfait flavor which was very refreshing for spring. Usually I'm a chocolate-only gal but the change was welcomed. I was shocked to find a line outside of the Jeni's I found in Shirlington but I totally understand. I waited 15 minutes in line for a pint of the Double Dough ice cream that I've heard so much about. Amazing ice cream and delicious flavors that are extremely unique. That's what Jeni's does creating new types of flavors that really are fantastic for your palate. I tasted a couple of flavors and then decided on a half scoop of brown butter brittle, and a half scoop of the birthday cake. Both were delicious and she added some hot fudge to the top which made it even better. It was pretty pricey over $9, but it was fantastic and a nice treat. This is not my first time at this ice cream place but it was in this location. I've been to others throughout Northern Virginia and it's as good as the others if not better. I am an absolute fan of Jenis. my husband and I work right up the street and make it a thing to end our day a few times a month. I've always associated ice cream with joy and fun. Tried Jeni's for the 1st time in one of their brick and mortar locations and was really impressed. I had no idea it was a chain based out of Ohio. It tasted like it'd been made on site. They offer so many creative flavors. Tried the Miso Butterscotch Brownie (my fave) and the salty caramel. Both were amazingly rich and not overly sweet. The All-american pairing! Flutternutter pie(peanut butter pieces), texas sheet cake dairy free(chocolate cake), pb and j ice cream. One of the reasons i love jeni's is because nothing there is overwhelmingly sweet. It's like the perfect amount of sweetness. This is my second time at this location, during the spring and summer the lines are out the door looped around the corner. Just came in at 430 and luckily was the only customer. The gal at the counter was nice, but so soft spoken I couldn't hear her well, but overall the people here are nice and to the point. They offer standard at two flavors, signature which is 3 flavors, and flights. They also do things by the pint, which I have found in stores as well. However these are made here, and packaged fresh. I'm glad I came across a jeni's here in arlington, first time I tried it was for a modeling gig and I was so stuffed having to shoot a million times I couldn't experience the flavors too well. Same fun store design. I went to their grand opening with free ice cream for everyone. Jeni's always handles these events well. They staff up, keep the lines moving, but have greeters and such to be friendly to everyone. They also serve you anything you want during their free ice cream events.
