This is the message I left with Rolling Sloane: Hello Sloane, First, thank you for delivering my cake today. That helped me out so much. More importantly, thank you for making the most Delicious Birthday Cake ( His Words) my husband ever had, everyone enjoyed it. There is only a small slice left . Unfortunately, everyone was upset that they live out of state and won't have the pleasure of eating it again. But, we don't! Looking forward to purchasing future cakes. So glad to have discovered the gifted and generous Sloane. I say generous because the back and forth with her about my order was easy and speedy and because she was good enough to use a recipe I suggested. Gifted because OH MY GOSH THE CAKE SHE BAKED (special order) was incredible. Just fantastic. Sorry I didn't take a photo to show but I will post a photo when I order from Rolling Sloane's again. read more

We are fairly new to the neighborhood and I reached out to Rolling Sloane's about making an order of gluten free cupcakes for an event I was hosting for the opening night of the Olympics. She was so communicative, helpful, and enthusiastic about baking for my event. She was also very confident in a gluten free bake that would be consumable for people who have severe allergies which gave me a lot of confidence that I could serve them to my guests without concern. None of my guests had any reaction to her cupcakes which speaks to the fact that she clearly knows what she's doing and takes cross contamination seriously as well! Payment and pickup were fast and easy! I can't wait to work with Sloane on future baking needs - she will be someone I come back to time and again for all of life's celebrations. Hire Sloane - you won't regret it! read more

THE place to go for strawberry shortcake! We ordered one for my husband's birthday this year and it was absolutely incredible. Pickup was really easy and the pricing was fair. It was a pretty decent size and the shortcake wasn't overly sweet. My husband loved it! read more

Rolling Sloane's is amazing. Everything she makes is delicious. We love the fudgy brownies, banana bread, chocolate chip cookies, pop tarts...the list goes on. Until recently we'd just grabbed whatever was on the menu at the market or her Sunday neighborhood pop-up but with my dad in town ahead of his birthday I wanted something special. Sloane was so lovely and easy to work with. The chocolate cake with American buttercream was a huge hit! The cake was so flavourful and moist while the icing was perfectly balanced. The decoration was just perfect and so fun. We ordered an 8" cake which was $55 and it was worth every single penny. The pictures don't even do it credit - can't wait for another excuse to order a cake from Sloane. read more

Amazing cake. I requested a cake last minute and reached out to her and she got it done for my girl's birthday. It was delicious, moist. It wasn't excessively sweet. It was simple and very good flavor. I ordered a yellow cake with French buttercream and it was *chef's kiss*. Definitely try it out. You won't regret it. read more

I bought some Awesome cookies! Wish I had bought more. Definitely going to try her other offeringz

Once you discover Sloane's wonderful treats, you better join a gym. A trip to the Delray farmers market to pick up her to die for scones has become our weekend ritual. I thought breakfast couldn't get any better than her berry and stone fruit scones, and then we branched out and tried her coffee cake. And then the fruit biscuits. Divine! And the shortbread - woah. I'm worried she's going to get snapped to be a pastry chef at a DC michelin star restaurant, so we figure we better eat as many of her tasty treats as quickly as possible. I have special ordered her chicken pies and dessert tarts (chocolate caramel, lemon, and berry) for parties. She is a dream to work with and all of our guests go home astounded and with her name in their pocket. I picked up a strawberry cobbler yesterday, it was still warm and smelled so divine, I literally almost ate it with my hands in the car and just served the ice cream I had bought to go with it to my dinner guests. This woman is a FIND! Sloane can go toe to toe with the best bakeries in DC and NYC. read more

Rolling Sloan's is AMAZING! I can't say enough great things about her baked goods! Not only are her cookies fantastic, but she also made an amazing cheesecake for my family and accommodated a nut allergy! She does it all from her home and even has a sweets stand outside her front door on the weekends as well as participating at the local Del Ray farmers market! We love Rolling Sloane's Bakery! read more

Once again, the most amazing pumpkin pie. Best bakery option in the area in my opinion.

I had a custom order paid and confirmed with Sloane, and when I went to pick it up, it was not ready and I couldn't reach her right away to see what the problem was. Apparently she had forgotten? She delivered it later causing us to be late for the celebration (even though I specifically noted what time we'd need it). The mini cupcakes were decorated nicely (though several had tipped over from the delivery) but the strawberry ones were dry and tasteless. I am waiting for a refund which she said she would do given the terrible inconvenience and mistake. I try to support local businesses whenever possible, but I would never use Rolling Sloane's again for a custom order. read more

If I lived in the area I'd never go anywhere else! I was looking for a small, simple yet elegant strawberry shortcake relatively last minute (3-4day notice I gave) and Rolling Sloans bake shop whipped up this beautiful 6" strawberry shortcake. I just added the little decorations myself and We could not be happier and it is perfect for us ( I asked for less frosting and that was perfectly delivered!) It was sweet but not too sweet, perfectly moist and the strawberries and whipped cream were so fresh and flavorful. read more

Sloane is AMAZING!! She made pies and a wedding cake for my wedding and they were incredible. The wedding cake ("naked" style) was gorgeous. Our guests loved the desserts and so did we. She met with us to hear what we were looking for and we did a tasting which helped us hone in on what we wanted. She had great suggestions and matched our taste perfectly. Sloane is also a super sweet person, and I can't recommend her highly enough! read more

Bumped into Sloane and Suzy (her pup) manning the adorable Rolling Sloane's cart outside of Long Weekend this morning. Suzy hugged me, Sloane fed me- what more could you ask for?! My friends and I purchased the sea salt chocolate chip cookies, the homemade blueberry pop tarts and the GF lemon bars. Within 10 minutes of driving away, we had consumed half the goods. SO DELECTABLY DELICIOUS! I'm glad we found you, Sloane! We will be back for more. read more

My requirements were directed to low sugar and I asked Sloane to make the choice. The chocolate ganache tart/pie was spectacular. The most critical foodie would rave. We live in Connecticut and only get to visit Oakland once a year. I was introduced to Sloane's amazing talent last year when devouring a piece of birthday cake. The taste, the texture, the whole experience was quite special. So when we visited Oakland again last week, we specifically sought out her bakery and decided to order something portable to take home with us. We chose rugalach. Once again, we were not disappointed: the experience of eating her pastries is quite special. To call them good is an understatement. Half of our hoard was devoured on the plane. The remainder was consumed soon after getting home. We can't wait to visit Oakland again next year. read more
