    Cake
    Abid M.

I bought a cake around 5pm in Friday for my daughter's birthday that was on the following day. The cake was kept on refrigerator. However, when it was time for kids to cut the cake, we opened it and it was full of mold. I went back to talk to the manager and he was absolutely non apologetic and said he is just a cashier. Did not show one bit of concern or cared to offer any solution. Their cakes are old and stale. Everything has a shelf life ant I don't think they regard it.

Glad this place is still operating even when COVID is happening! Got my sons 1st birthday cake from here and it was AMAZING! They were able to do the cake with a good 6-7 day notice for a reasonable price. I have gotten several cakes made here and have yet to be disappointed...The owner is always so welcoming and kind to us. I usually come here for the pastries though because they are so bomb. My husband loves their napoleons, personally I love theirchocolate pastries- they are alare my favorite. I bring all my friends here!

I was highly disappointed with this bakery. My intention was to get a tres leches cake but when I got home and opened the box there was nothing tres leches about this cake. It was more vanilla cake with whipped icing. We all know tres leches has a more spongy/soggy texture and it was on the drier side. There wasn't any flavor to this tres leches. Most likely won't be back. I will say the lady who helped was quiet but nice

They made a cake for my mom & dad's 50 year wedding anniversary that was exceptionally beautiful and tasty. My family and our guests loved the cake. Thank you

I stopped to get a birthday cake for my husband. This yummy white mousse cake was already made and it was delicious! It also looked beautiful! I will return.

Amazing job on our Godson's Monster-Truck-themed birthday cake! As tasty as it was adorable! Highly recommend.

I paid $85 for an extremely dry tres leche cake! There was no hint of tres leche flavor. I do not recommend this bakery.

It is a great little bakery. Not overly sweet, which I appreciate. The eclairs were how eclairs should be, almost crisp and not a donut.

The menu didn't seem to be as extensive as normal (see my pic), and I ordered a brownie sundae. It was $10 and didn't even come with a full brownie. There were a few chopped brownie bits which did not taste good on top of average ice cream. I didn't even finish the whole thing and took two bites and threw it out. For $10 I would have at least expected a whole brownie. The vanilla ice cream was nothing special. Cash only. No parking.

I stood there debating for a bit--looking at the cupcakes (carrot, red velvet, espresso) and even considering the macaroons, especially the chocolate one. But in the end, the chocolate cake kept calling my name, so I went with that. The woman helping me was really kind and even offered to give me a candle for the cake, which I thought was a nice touch. She boxed it up for me and didn't completely close the top of the box, which honestly made it feel a little extra special--like a sneak peek of the cake inside. I brought it to the restaurant where we were having lunch, and my friend was so happy when I surprised her with it. We shared it for dessert after our meal. I was a little nervous buying a cake I hadn't pre-ordered, but it turned out to be delicious--moist, rich, and perfectly chocolatey. There was a bit more frosting than I personally prefer, but the cake itself was gorgeous and tasted great. There was also a vanilla cake with rainbow sprinkles in the case that looked really tempting, but since my friend loves chocolate, I definitely made the right choice. She even compared it to a cake she had recently bought herself and said this one was better. I told her if she couldn't finish it, she could always freeze the rest and enjoy it later. That's actually what I like to do with leftover desserts--freeze them and pull them out when I'm craving a sweet treat. Overall, it was a great last-minute birthday pick and the cake was a hit. I'll definitely be back the next time I need a sweet treat--and honestly, I might have to try that vanilla cake with rainbow sprinkles because it looked so scrumptious!!

It felt positively Bridgerton-esque, my Dear Reader, from the butterfly patterned china, to the delicate King Louis chairs to the elegant three-tiered trays of pastries and scones. The salon was filled with multi-generations, ladies who lunch, and my dining companion was alas the only gentleman. We enjoyed Tea for Two: smoked salmon & brie and apple tea sandwiches; scones with cream, curd and jam; tartlets and crème brûlée. There are also savory options such as soufflés and English pies and of course, a very diverse multitude of tea. This is a lovely place for a special occasion and of course make reservations as this is quite small. Our tea was unhurried and leisurely and the staff was efficient and friendly. What you get for the money is INSANE. It's a great value, especially for such a HCOL area. I was so full after leaving; this is one of the few tea shops I've been to that actually give you a good amount of food (which was very tasty). I've seen a few reviews mention that the tea strainers don't catch a lot of the tea leaves. This is only true for some of the teas, but ultimately, if you usually drink loose leaf tea, it won't bother you. The shop itself is cute, and looks right over the water. It's small but cozy, and when it's full it has a nice vibe to it. You definitely need a reservation, and to get the time slot you want, you'd need to book well in advance. Servers were attentive and explained everything clearly. The only (very minor) suggestion for improvement would be that the brie and apple sandwich should use green apples instead of red. That would give it a nicer flavor profile.

All of the hip young girls in high school recommended this place to me and my friends and lets just say, they have never been more wrong. My girls and I went this weekend for a birthday brunch. I wanted a crepe, but when I saw it was 17 DOLLARS to slap some Nutella and strawberries on a piece of crepe is outrageous. I ordered a "Continental Breakfast," which, with tax and tip, cost me $30 DOLLARS. I wish you could have seen the look on my face when they gave me a plate of rabbit food. All 6 of us looked at the plate and laughed. Seriously, my 5 year old neice can eat 3 times as much of that in one sitting. So, in what world would that be enough food for a grown woman? My friend then went on to order the French toast for a grand total of $36 DOLLARS. Mind you, there was only one piece of toast, and the Inside was raw and soggy. Tasted like eating wet, soaked toilet paper. On top of the overpriced food and small portions, our "server" came to our table for a total of ONE SINGULAR TIME. My friend had also ordered a Chai Latte. Surprise, Surprise! It never came, and they still charged her for it. I think the nice man who brought us our food could see the look on our faces when we received our food, because he then brought us a free side of French fries. It is a huge problem when the french fries were the only sufficient thing I put in my mouth at this restaurant. I please, genuinely beg all of you to NOT waste your money. I promise there is anywhere else where you can get a crepe for double the size and half the cost. Once we left, we went down to Call Your Mother, the Jewish Deli, to get more food, as all of us left with our tummies still rumbling. Mind you, a full bagel sandwich and coffee cost HALF THE PRICE of one meal at Fontaine. Horrible. Mind you, it is 2 days later, and I am still thinking about this. I fully created a Yelp account just so I could leave a review. I think I would have a better experience eating an IHOP Continental breakfast than whatever I put in my mouth at this restaurant. Not worth the hype at all. Save your hard-earned cash and be a big baller elsewhere!
