I've also gone twice to the location in wood more and once at the location in crofton. I've always had quick and friendly service at each location. These things have turned me every way but loose. My friend had the cupcakes for her baby shower after insisting that I try them for months. I KNEW just off how much she said I would enjoy them that they'd be a problem for me if I tried them and whew, she was right. I've had in order: Lemon -8/10 VERY lemon forward Vanilla - 10/10 Carrot - 7/10 surprisingly good, does include chunks of carrot though which were off putting for me. When we got back home and opened up the box, we were shocked to see that some of them didn't have the cream cheese icing.. First off let me say I love a pun in a business name. I'm mostly impressed with NBC. I had heard of them via word of mouth, and pretty much everyone I heard from had raved about them. I was in need of a cake for a special birthday so wanted to give them a try. Got the strawberry and cream cake. The cake was delicious and had bits of real strawberry. I can't imagine paying the $2.50 for extra icing because honestly it came with more than enough. I got the smaller size cake ($27) plus the extra birthday decorations (+$10) The website said it serves 6-8 but we got 10 servings - I guess we don't eat big pieces of cake as a family haha. I was going on a beach vacay with the fam and really wanted to bring some for everyone to enjoy. I was coming from Maryland on a Friday evening trying to make it to the Virginia spot before they closed. Traffic was typical and I was sweating because I was cutting it way too close. I called to alert them that I was still on my way and the woman on the other end was so friendly. She answered my questions and assured me they would wait if I was a few minutes late. The bottom of my white chocolate raspberry bundtlet was pretty gross. My red velvet one was fine, but this is my second time coming here in the last few weeks where it felt like I was given the bundtlets that should have been thrown away. I've been coming here for the last several years and have never been disappointed, but my last few visits have been underwhelming. I'm not sure why they would have even packaged this one for retail.
