The cashier immediately apologized and said, "I didn't know, but now I know moving forward." She was kind, professional, and handled the situation well. What disappointed me most was that the owner/manager had an opportunity to step in, acknowledge the confusion, and make the situation right, but that opportunity was missed. As for the sides: the cornbread was disappointing, the potato salad wasn't good, and the macaroni and cheese was decent but nothing memorable. The mango and banana gave it a naturally sweet flavor, while the coconut yogurt added a rich texture. I could still pick up some of the blue spirulina underneath everything, which kept it from tasting one-dimensional. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. It felt like a place where you could slow down for a few minutes instead of grabbing something and rushing back out the door. One thing I like about this smoothie is that it's easy to customize. After having it before, I've found that ordering it with light banana and no agave makes it taste lighter and lets the mango come through more. That said, the standard version was still enjoyable and is probably the best starting point if you've never tried it before. I'd definitely come back and try other drinks on the menu.
