a food truck parked in a parking lot
Hannah H.

About a 1-1.5: Papatios is a food truck that can be found at the Tanger Outlets - their menu offers tacos, birria tacos, burritos, quesadillas, flautas, fajitas, empanadas, chimichangas, nachos, taco salad, Mexican hot dogs, steak and cheese, grilled chicken sandwiches, wraps, and queso fries. We ordered: +birria tacos - came as a set of 3 - the consommé was extremely bland and added no complement to the birria tacos - super disappointing (!); the tacos themselves were unflavorful and actually somewhat dry -shrimp tacos - came as a set of 3 - the shrimp seemed like it was seasoned with some type of an Old Bay type of blend, but the shrimp was just not flavored enough; they were sautéed, and just came slightly wet in the tacos Staff were friendly, and food was made-to-order. Not sure if we were glad to have checked this place out, but we wouldn't return. +consommé is extremely bland +tacos are unflavorful +located at Tanger Outlets +plenty of parking

Went here with friends and we all agreed the tacos were fire. The flavors were bold, especially the spicy beef and the grilled shrimp. Everything tasted super fresh and they even made the tortillas in-house. I loved how they balanced textures with crunchy slaw and creamy sauces. The restaurant had a fun, laid-back feel with colorful decor. Staff was upbeat and kept things moving even during the lunch rush. I'll be back for sure, maybe with a margarita next time.

The kale Caesar salad was honestly so good. I'm not usually a fan of kale but they massaged it just right and it wasn't bitter at all. The dressing was creamy but not too heavy and the croutons were crunchy and garlicky. They also added shaved parmesan on top which made a big difference. The portion was great for the price and came out really fast. The people working there were nice and the place had a good chill vibe. I'd definitely get this again next time I'm in the area.

We had the entire upstairs area to ourselves, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant was clean, and I loved the mini fans placed throughout the space--perfect if you're feeling a little too warm or have enjoyed a few drinks! As for the service, it was a bit hit-or-miss. The young lady who took our orders was pleasant, but it took quite a while for drinks to come out. There were also several missing items from people's orders, which caused some frustration since those items had been ordered well in advance. Now, onto the food--the real star of the experience! Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals and had great things to say. I ordered a salmon taco, which I actually saved and ate the next day for lunch, and it was still delicious. The queso, however, wasn't a favorite among our group. On the other hand, the chips and salsa were a hit. The mocktails were excellent, and everyone seemed to enjoy their cocktails as well. Despite a few service hiccups, the food, drinks, and atmosphere made for a great experience. I would definitely visit again.

I ordered one single shrimp taco for $ 3.99 i believe, they only have corn tortillas. I was not fond of the heavy amount of cilantro that's mixed with their cabbage mix. PROS: Lots of shrimp (although not seasoned at all) CONS: charge extra for sour cream (it does NOT come with the meal). I'm not trippin off the $1 sour cream, but the amount they gave me, was as if it was the last like dollop they had Bag is 15cents, wish they would communicate if I wanted a bag for my single taco. Would not try this place again nor recommend to my aunt who lives behind the establishment

Inside, most tables were taken but there were a few empty and what seemed to be plenty of waiters around. My bf and I sat at the bar. The couple next to us got there just before us and got their menus, chips and drinks, plus ordered. We received nothing. After awhile someone handed us chips and a menu. Then we were ignored again. Meanwhile the couple next to us had received their food. I finally flagged someone down and asked for a beer, queso and 4 tacos. My bf who did not have a drink never got water. They brought us 3 tacos instead of 4 and then ignored us again. Are you noticing a theme? The tacos honestly were not even good. Oh, and because of the "holiday" they automatically added an 18% tip. Probably because with this service and food they would receive less than that. Not a great experience.
