Everytime I eat here my chicken is either too dry or the skin is too flabby... not crispy at all. The Yucca and other sides are the only thing that save this place. Their sauces (which are pre-packaged) taste so odd... almost like they belong on a salad and not chicken. If you grew up eating Peruvian chicken then you know exactly how you want your sauces to taste like and Sardi's sauce really miss the mark. They have a huge fan base, regardless of what I've said here; maybe they love it due to nostalgia, but the Alexandria location is not it!!

It comes with avocado and mayo, neither of which we like, and I ordered without them. Unfortunately we received avocado. I brought them back and explained the mix-up. Susanne, one of the servers, took them and came to our table with fresh sandwiches. I bit into mine and tasted onion and it had the mayo herb spread on it. I debated throwing it away for about 30 seconds but brought it back and Susanne (susie) who had replaced the first sandwiches cheerfully said "I've got you" and replaced it with a new one, no mayo, no avocado, no attitude, and I really was so grateful and of course enjoyed every bite. My sister loves the chocolate chip cookie and when they realized they were out Susanne intervened and said a new batch was coming and would be ready in 20 minutes. So my sister and I ate and by the time we were finished I went to the counter and Susanne brought out the still warm cookie. My sister is handicapped and it's one of the quicker, brighter restaurants as I can open the door closer to the handicapped parking for her which saves her steps she would need to reach the main entrance. She gets a booth and i order the food and drinks. I'm given a number to display on the table so we can have the drinks and chat and the server brings the food. We get to be leisurely since it's never been crowded when we go, usually in the afternoon. Someone always checks to see how we're doing and clear any dishes sometimes even getting refills for us.
