We came here at Saturday around 12:30 and had no problems getting a reservation or a seat. While parking was somewhat full in the little shopping area, we got a parking spot around the corner. Some seating outside, bar seating both in and outdoors and some seating indoors. Good music and not overly loud. The food here was very good, I would definitely recommend. Everyone was also so friendly. I ordered a guava mimosa and South Beach Sunset for our drinks. Both were delicious. For an appetizer, we ordered the Stuffed oysters and then for our meals, we ordered the Thai Lobster & Shrimp and the Grilled Lamb Chops with the additional ons - the crab & Shrimp and Cajun crab sauce. The Stuffed oysters were so good, and full of flavor. We absolutely loved the Thai Lobster and Shrimp, the Lamb Chops were cooked so well. Great portion sizes. Only wish that the potatoes were just a little crispier and the lobster was just a tad overcooked. Definitely recommend, we loved it here and will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Good food, service and vibes. This spot is small but it packs a punch. You walk in it's bright clean and the staff is friendly. All the food is on point. Some great choices Seafood spring rolls- amazing but it's only two so you'll want to order more because you will love them. Char oysters Seafood oysters- hands down some of the best oysters I've had Stackanator- the perfect combo of everything. Shrimp salad, crab cake sandwich and crab fries. Lamb chops, add shrimp and crab on top... chef kiss.

I should be gate keeping this spot because it is small and I always want to be able to get a seat since I don't live local. BUT, I'm sharing!!!!!for the location you may not thing this place is going to pop but it did. It was a little hard to find hiding on the side of the building, but I forgot about all that once my grilled oysters hit the table. I wanted to camel the rest of my food and order more of the seafood and half Shell oysters. They were 10 out of 10! But then the main courses came and i am glad I didn't forgo on the actual food. The Stackanator and the Grilled Lamb Chops.....I don't know what they marinated the lamb chops in, but they were some of the best I have had and the crab cake was nothing but crab meat no filler at all. Crab Cab did not disappoint in fact it was impressive, The team was awesome, continuously checking in with us to Make sure we were okay. Thank you guys for a great experience, I can't wait to come back.

I came here for happy hour with some friends and let me tell you! This place is so good. It almost looks like it was recently redone on the inside. The vibe was great and the playlist was better Terry behind the bar really took care of us. I had a blueberry lemon drop then peach. My friend had two blueberry smashes The food is absolutely delicious. My friends both ordered the crab cake sliders, one ordered the fried catfish and the other ordered the fried shrimp basket. They rated everything 10/10. I had the crab and shrimp spinach artichoke dip and I must say it was 100/10. It was so good my friends ordered their own. I also had crab and shrimp stuff oyster 10/10 It's safe to say we'll be back! Hopefully Terry and D will be working on our next visit!

This suppose to be the Island Pasta. Very disappointing

My first time eating here was a very good experience. The food was delicious and service was great. However, I went today for the same meal as before but this time it was take out. I don't know if restaurants don't care when people order take out but I've been finding that the quality of meals are different...less than. I was excited to share my experience with others, so I ordered meals for 3 of us...all some version of the Island Pasta. ALL of them were extremely dry and mine was over cooked; peppers and onions burned. When I dined in, there was a very tasty sauce. This time however, there was none. I tried called multiple times but no one answered. I'm extremely disappointed with this experience, especially since having had such a great first. Now I don't know what the norm is. I expected better for $38.

    Guava Sunrise

Had brunch earlier this year and the food was pretty good but maybe I expected more based off other reviewers. Started with the Guava Sunrise drink and it was just ok, more syrup than anything. I just didn't really get that tequila was added. For my appetizer, I went with the Seafood oysters, which were supposed to be chargrilled with shrimp and crab except they weren't really what I would expect of a chargrilled oyster so I was a little disappointed. For my main course, I did the fried catfish topped with shrimp, scrambled eggs and potatoes. I enjoyed my catfish as it was cooked perfectly. I could've done without the topping but definitely made a good choice for my main dish. Service was good, but I will note this location is small so you may experience a slight wait for a table. The decor has an industrial feel but I really loved the lighting.

Great customer service from the moment we walked in! The owner personally welcomed us and was very attentive. Solid HH with a good selection to choose from. Drinks had the perfect balance of alcohol without it overpowering the drinks. Had the lemon drop and blue berry smash 10/10. The crab cake sliders were everything the owner said they were. The crab fries and the dip were delicious. Tried 2 different oysters which I thought would have been my favorite but surprisingly that was not the case. The oysters were good but I did wish there was a bit more flavor to them. All in all this place is definitely worth it

Where We Bout To Eat At @crabcab Alexandria, VA I might tell you a joke but I'll never tell you a lie! This food was AMAZING!!! The drinks did what needed to be done and our server, Terry, was everything! She definitely passed the vibe check! It is small so there may be a wait, but trust me, it's worth it! Go check out @crabcab and don't forget to tell them, DANI SENT YA!!!

Came on a Saturday for brunch, made a reservation online but it wasn't needed because we were the only ones there at 12:30pm. The service was great, she continually checked in with us during the time we were there even though we spent the first 20 mins talking. I tried the seafood egg rolls, catfish brunch plate, and my friend had the salmon salad. The egg rolls were more cabbage than seafood but the catfish was amazing! It's hard to find good catfish in the DMV area, I'm from Oklahoma. I wonder why this place doesn't get more business because the food is great, location is right off a main road and the reviews are good. Hope it turns around for the better!

This place is a hidden gem for sure. My mom and I stopped pass here about week ago & we were glad we did. Our server was Dee and she was more than amazing. She even gave us to go drinks that were specially made by her. We ordered the crab cake sandwich and shrimp po'boy that came with seasoned fries. 100/10 food, service, great music, beautiful bar and overall atmosphere. The only things that would make this even better is if they had a bigger spot because as good as it is, they will be packed soon, more visible to the street so people can see them & to either price the fountain drinks cheaper or allow more than one refill. I can't remember if they had soda or just lemonade flavors but it's $8 for a drink and you only get one refill, which is steep. However, make this spot your next stop!

Ambiance is nice and welcoming. The inside is small but it had a nice vibe. The food was hot and very flavorful. The service was spot they made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely will be back when I'm in the area.

Hank's Oyster Bar - Alexandria VA…read more For many years, Old Town Alexandria has been a dependable friend to restaurants and to those who visit the same. As an Old Town resident, I first visited Hank's Oyster Bar 15 years ago, when its space on King Street was a beloved, if cramped, destination for guests from all over the DMV (and beyond). Since then, a sibling Hank's Oyster Bar established itself when the Wharf arose from the docks of the historical D.C. fish market on Maine Ave. SW. Around the same time, the King Street Hank's relocated from King Street to its current location at the intersection of N. St. Asaph Street and Montgomery Street. The location makes sense - parking at the former location was just about impossible. Parking is possible at the new location, but it's still in Old Town, so plan ahead if you're arriving by car. The restaurant's location now is in the northeast quadrant of Old Town - about eight blocks north of the intersection of King Street and North Washington Street - and can be reached from the Metro Rail Stations at either King Street or Braddock Road, using the DASH free buses - Routes 30 or 31. (Exit the bus at Madison St & N Saint Asaph St if using Bus 30 or 31 from Braddock Road; exit the bus at Montgomery St & N Saint Asaph St if using the bus from King Street Metro.) Although I have yet to try it, Hank's Pasta Bar also operates from this location as well - although the website reflects the pasta menu is intended for carry-out orders only. Still, if the folks in the kitchen set their minds to offer diverse pasta dishes the same way they approach serving oysters and seafood, you're likely to be in particularly capable hands for carry-out and delivery service. For my recent visit, I was looking for a light lunch served at a place with a decent bar, and Hank's fits that description. At the recommendation of the host, I took the elevator up to the rooftop floor - a light, spacious, clean, and hospitable dining room. I ordered the appetizer griddled crab cake (a single grilled cake with Cole slaw, $19) along with a Narragansett lager and Maker's Mark. A perfect selection for a light lunch, all in a relaxed and comfortable space.

Along with the two dozen oysters that we had, we also had the shrimp Poboy and seared Dorado. Both were amazing probably the best po boythat I've had and the fish was cooked perfectly. The poor boy was super buttered. I had Texas toast to accompany the fried shrimp and the shrimp was perfectly cooked not chewy at all. There's a good amount of mayo and sauce along with the sandwich which made everything very flavorful and it was lighting up with the coleslaw that I combined on the top. Perfect light crisp from the shrimp and bread. I like the oysters they're great for Maryland; little bit of brine and they tasted fresh. I liked the marinara sauce that came with it. We ordered a second dozen since the first batch was quite good. I've tried better ones on the West Coast, but for the East Coast these were quite good. If you don't taste much, you should definitely chew a lot more on the oysters and the flavor will start to come out. The Dorado was cooked perfectly and the sauce of it was amazing. I think it was some sort of basil, oil, and other sauce combined, but regardless it tasted so good. It reminded me of a fish dish that I got back in Washington state. The drinks were good but quite strong. I had the not your nana's banana, but I was not a fan since it was quite strong. We got the watermelon punch which was great. Wish we had gotten two of those. The atmosphere is good although quite busy we came on Valentine's Day so they're a lot of couples and most of the tables were filled, but we were still able to sit down on a small table next to the door a little bit cold when the door is open, but it's understandable since the restaurant is is making the most out of the space we still enjoyed our dinner. Service was OK. Our waiter was nice, but it sort of seemed like he was putting a fake smile on. I get it though we're probably his 100,000th customer that he's seen. Regardless, we had a good experience and I'll definitely will be back here.

Our assigned server only came to our table twice--once to take our order and once to drop off the check. It was another staff member who actually provided a majority of the service - she brought us warm bread, delivered our food, and refilled our drinks multiple times. When it came time to pay, I paid in cash using a larger bill. The server assumed I was giving a large tip and was about to walk away with no intention of giving me my change. I made no comment of "keep the change" I then had to awkwardly ask for my change back so I could leave a tip separately. He proceeded to ask how much change I wanted, putting me on the spot and feeling pressured to leave a large tip (mind you, I was going to already leave a tip). Because of this, I ended up leaving a much larger tip (over 50%) than I had intended, especially considering the level of service he provided us. I understand that I could have been more firm about asking for all my change back, but guests should never feel pressured or uncomfortable when paying. Overall, the service experience with our waiter overshadowed what could have been an otherwise enjoyable visit.
