I sat at the bar and was served an iced water without realizing it. The bartender asked what I was ordering, so I decided to sample the happy hour classic margarita for $6. It was fancy for a $6 Margarita with a toasted lime on it. Delicious. I was impressed at how courteous and efficient the bartender was at her job. I needed the iced water without realizing it being dehydrated from my outdoor walk. The takeout order was ready to go in ten minutes or less. There was a prep area for taco sauces. The Carne Asada could have used a little more seasoning, but adding some salt, fresh lime, and hot sauce brought the flavor up perfectly. I visited on a Tuesday, when the tacos were only $4 each, and they were also offering happy hour drinks for $6. I ordered the on-the-rocks lime margarita, which was excellent. It's served from a premade batch, but it was still very refreshing and flavorful. I sat at the restaurant's bar, which was exceptionally clean. I didn't see any roaches, flies, or other cleanliness concerns, and even the air vents were clean and well-maintained. And the music? Absolutely on point! They had an amazing playlist playing throughout my visit. Overall, great food, great drinks, a clean environment, excellent music, and outstanding service from Stephen. I'd definitely come back!

Although our bartender wasn't rude, she seemed to be in a constant rush to get us to order, despite the restaurant being relatively quiet with only a few tables occupied. We even mentioned that we were hoping to enjoy a slow, relaxing evening, but we still felt hurried throughout our visit. The happy hour margaritas were very lime-forward with very little tequila. We switched to a regular menu margarita ("The Perfect"), but even that tasted weaker than expected. As tequila fans, we were disappointed. We also found the food to be far from authentic Tex-Mex. Having lived in San Antonio, I realize that's a high standard, but this didn't come close to what we expected. In the end, we asked for our food to go and left. We found another restaurant where we could relax and enjoy the kind of hospitality we had been looking for.
