Get the flautas!!!!! I cannot emphasize this enough, they are my favorite thing on the menu so far. I had one of each, chicken and steak, and they were awesome. Wish I had room to eat more! The steak was my favorite, it was tender and savory and cheesy and delicious. He enjoyed the chicken and shrimp fajitas, which were seasoned perfectly. We also really loved the queso with chorizo. The chorizo added so much to the already very yummy queso. If you order the grande margarita, be prepared, it is properly grande. I enjoyed the mango and he loved the jalapeño. The service was wonderful as usual and we can't wait to come back!

Rating as a bar only Came here specifically to get some margaritas and some chips and salsa with guac. The Margarita's were the house margarita which was quite tasty where the recipe they use has a heavy dose of sour mix instead of pure lime juice. This type of drink basically let's the sour mix stand out versus the agave notes of the tequila which is a nice change up to what I am used to drinking. As a small gripe, my Margarita probably could've used a tad more tequila as it lacked the punch that I was looking for in my drink. Having said that I could drink these margaritas all day long as they were that tasty! The facility itself is quite nice with both indoor and outdoor dining where we took full advantage of the outdoor dining on this nice day. Staff was very friendly and talkative, which I liked, with great follow up as well and seems to be a strength of this business. Overall, we really enjoyed our drinking excursion at this establishment. The outdoor patio on a nice day with the quality of the drinks they serve is hard to beat.

Really delicious Mexican food. I had walked by here many times and finally ate here; surprisingly good. My guacamole was made to perfection and the margaritas refreshing. Pleasant staff. I'll be returning.

Service is quick and friendly. But I feel this place is over priced. Our calamari appetizer was $14 and we received 12 pieces. The margaritas are quite sugary. At the end of the night we felt we overpaid for what we got. We were going frequently but may take a break to explore other options.

Awesome Mexican food. The staff is friendly and efficient. So many delicious items to choose from. I especially like the fresh guacamole appetizer with hot tortilla chips and the enchiladas. Their fajitas are also excellent. I highly recommend Dos Amigos!

What a cute little place. Came in the afternoon while my car was being serviced. They have wifi, friendly staff, and a nice ambiance. They offer complimentary chips and a homemade dip. Service was average- no complaints, but not memorable. I started with a Jalepeno Margarita. Ordered Alambre for lunch. Was disappointed in the Alambre. One of my favorite dishes, but it came out as rolled soft shell tacos/taquitos Alambre is traditionally open faced and loaded! They were still tasty, but I wouldn't order them again. Overall experience was okay.

This place is so good! There food is fantastic. I came here for dinner with some friends. They readily provided chips and salsa at the table, which is free. The chips came in hot. I got the fajita taco salad with grilled shrimps, , which was great. My other friends got some form of a salad, enchiladas and fajitas. The service was slightly slow and I know times are hard for all! We had our own table to ourself for a group of six people although make sure you ask ahead of time. They also had tvs everywhere, which was fun. Overall, the ambiance was typical! This is a fun place right outside of Braddock road metro!

The service is fast and very friendly! Came in on a Sunday afternoon and it was extremely dead. I opted for the green chicken enchiladas - my fave. They were very REGULAR. They were super bland. I dumped salsa on top hoping to add something. Nothing. Chips and salsa were good but chip refills are $1. For an entree and white sangria, I paid about $30.

Got food delivered from here via Grubhub. I went with the combination plate of chicken enchilada, beef enchiladas and the ground beef taco. It was definitely packed in that container! The beef taco was not very full but the other items were good. I also got the queso and it wasn't clear if that came with chips, so I added additional chips. When it arrived I had 2 bags of chips! So the queso does come with them. Overall it was fast and pretty tasty.

This place isn't the most outstanding but it's really great for the price for sure. $17 for shrimp enchiladas! $6 wine and $7 margs for happy hour! The taco salad is big enough for a meal! They include chips and salsa for free as well. Conveniently close to the metro.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Perfectly fine neighborhood joint. Heading back home after attending the DC kite festival, the missus and I stopped at Braddock Road Metro to grab tacos at Chop Shop Tacos ... only to be told they were closed for a private event. Thanks a lot, Obama. So we walked a couple minutes over to Dos Amigos. Saturday mid afternoon, no waiting, plenty of seating, clean, server Nancy was attentive - my Diet Coke getting low? Bam! Here's another before I've finished. Food was fine. Missus got sirloin enchiladas $(17). I got combo platter of a chicken enchilada, chicken taco, and a fish taco ($20). Everything was perfectly fine and came quickly. We left quite full. Is this a destination? Something I'd travel to eat it? Nah. But in the neighborhood and you're hungry? This place fills that need.

Dos Amigos is our family's favorite restaurant in Old Town. We're originally from Los Angeles so we can vouch for this spot! The food is delicious and the service is welcoming and efficient. Right off the Braddock Road Metro, the location can't be beat.

so we wanted Mexican food. And this one was the closest one to us. So our service was really good, the food was outstanding. It was a great location because it was close to us lol. So I'm gonna go with the flow and give this place four stars.

Inside, most tables were taken but there were a few empty and what seemed to be plenty of waiters around. My bf and I sat at the bar. The couple next to us got there just before us and got their menus, chips and drinks, plus ordered. We received nothing. After awhile someone handed us chips and a menu. Then we were ignored again. Meanwhile the couple next to us had received their food. I finally flagged someone down and asked for a beer, queso and 4 tacos. My bf who did not have a drink never got water. They brought us 3 tacos instead of 4 and then ignored us again. Are you noticing a theme? The tacos honestly were not even good. Oh, and because of the "holiday" they automatically added an 18% tip. Probably because with this service and food they would receive less than that. Not a great experience.

We were greeted and seated immediately when we arrived. There were maybe 3 or 4 tables total occupied during our visit so not too busy on a Sunday afternoon. There is outdoor seating as well. Our server, who was very friendly, hyped the premium margarita so we gave in and said yes. We also tried the passionfruit margarita. The premium was strong but that's probably what you're going for anyway The passionfruit margarita was delicious but not strong at all. We tried the chips and dip and the Platanos Fritos (plantains with sour cream) to start. Chips were fresh and hot. Salsa was a bit creamy. Never had it like this before but the taste was pretty good. Plantains were perfect! While we didn't order the Guac ( Guacamole Molcajete) , it was brought to our table. We found it to be on the bland side with no hints of cilantro, onion, lime or salt. We saw a few bits of tomato but it tasted just like a plain smashed avocado. Not something we would order again. We decided to try all the street tacos except the vegetarian so we could taste everything. Steak, chicken, fish, shrimp, ground beef, pork (al pastor), carnitas. We also got the 3 street taco platter that came with the Mexican rice and beans. We found the shrimp and fish tacos to be lacking in the quantity of meat. But they were flavorful. The chicken, while plentiful, was dry even with the sauce. The steak, al pastor and carnitas were all packed with meat and delicious but both our Al Pastor tacos were missing the pineapple. The ground beef was my personal favorite but was very greasy. The Mexican rice and pinto beans....Both were just ok. Overall, food was ok we were expecting a bit more flavor. Service was great. Pricing was a bit higher than what we usually pay for a similar order.
