This is the absolute BEST Mexican food in the DMV. Everything for the salsa before the meal to the main meals are outstanding. Absolutely you MUST try their home made green hot sauce. I just keep coming back!

Came here after a flight a couple years ago with my wife and a friend who was picking us up. We loved the food and ambiance outside which had a Ukrainian flag by the door. The service was fast and friendly and food and drinks were amazing. We look forward to returning.

This is a fantastic Mexican play in del Rey if you're in the mood for some wonderful food. My friends and I came here after the Del Ray Popup Bar. They serve you wonderful chops and salsa with a green sauce immediately - the green sauce is quite spicy. The service was quick and easy. I got the chicken burritos and my other friends got a burrito or shrimp tacos. The ambiance is wonderful. They have a small bar area to watch tv, a wonderful patio for a nice day and plenty of indoor seating, I definitely suggest this place if you're in the mood for some wonderful food and a great atmosphere.

Love Los Tios! The food is always amazing, I don't think I have tried something I didn't like or that was not packed full of flavor and the prices for the quality are right on par! It's a great venue too, although I usually sit in the bar seating area (at a high top) they have a lot of seating and can accommodate large parties.. the service is generally really great although sometimes it feels like you may wait a while to be checked on (usually when it's slammed to be fair). All in all, a great place with great food and friendly people! Would recommend if you're in the area!

My wife and I stopped here for lunch and it was our first visit. I have the chicken fajita, she had the veggie fajita. The food was cooked perfectly and the flavors were excellent. The staff was attentive and checked in on us with regularity. The location is off the sidewalk of downtown Del Ray. It's a great place to people watch while you enjoy a great meal. The prices were great I think our total for both meals with sparkling water was $54. We will definitely come back to try more of the menu. The only downside is parking can be pretty far away as you will have to find a public lot or something on the side of the street.

Came here on a saturday morning right when they opened at 11. Got seated quickly and ordered the combination #1 with the tamal and chile relleno. Came with guacamole, pico de gallo, rice, and beans. Very good portion size. Waiter was very nice and attentive. Would come back!

So if you want a birthday song and have people sing to you loudly, this is 100% that place. I think for a Friday dinner, I heard 6-7 birthday songs within a few hours. Which is crazy. Food was mediocre, but good for the price. I think people can be satisfied here, but don't expect anything memorable. I got the Salvadoran Tamales which is wrapped in banana leaves. Apparently they make them in house, but where was the flavor? Spices? Sauce? Something felt missing. Anyways would not return for the food but the ambiance was so fun! Service was so professional and swift also. I appreciated the waitstaff.

Great Mexican restaurant in Del Ray neighborhood that had amazing service (chips and salsa) and allowed our friends who came late to sit with us, pushing multiple tables together. Food was great portion, came quickly, and they allowed us to split checks. Highly recommend!

Fell in love with this place while visiting family. Prices are great for the servings you get, the food is phenomenal, and the ambiance is perfect. We went back multiple times and the service was great each time. Brunch is amazing as well!

There's street parking which you sometimes have to pay for but there might be a parking lot too. Just not sure. Service is great in a lively, comfortable setting. The food is even better. I tried this location partly because it's closer to my home but also for a new experience. I was not disappointed. We went there for an early lunch and to beat the crowd. Chips and salsa were great. I had the chorizo con huevos which was delicious and so much I couldn't finish it all. My wife had the mojarra frita with shrimps on top with a butter garlic sauce. She raved about it.

We just got take out from here today. We ordered the beef enchiladas and beef burrito. Both were a large portion, with rice, beans, and guac with sour cream. The guac tasted very fresh. The rice and beans were seasoned appropriately and tasted great too. Both the enchiladas and the burrito were very tasty, with the beef cooked very well. They also gave us a side of chips which was nice. I would love to dine here in person in the future. I will definitely be ordering Mexican food from here in the future as well. 5/5

It was still good because it almost tasted like a tortilla filled with pink pasta sauce but I knew it wasn't the real deal. The bean and cheese one was good. For 2 pupusas it was a little under $5 and came with the pickled cabbage and tomato sauce. Two was filling but I maybe could have gone for 3. The staff was very kind. They do have a variety of items on their menu. Do not be confused by the outside like I was. It does appear to be just a liquor store on the outside but the deli is located at the back of the store, if you keep walking to the back when you enter.

This place is located in a convenience store, so when you're approaching the address, it's not very obvious that this place is located inside due to the lack of signage. This place has limited hours and I believe they open early for breakfast and close at 4:00 p.m. I originally wanted to call in my order, but didn't see a decent menu online and/or prices, so I made my way there. I got there maybe about 20 minutes before they closed as I saw the chairs up on top of the tables in their seating area. I immediately just ordered the carne asada tacos, the pork pupusas and the cheese pupusa. I took it to go, brought it inside my car and because I didn't eat lunch and it was almost dinner time, I literally picked up the cheese pupusa and ate it in my car. It was piping hot and delicious. I didn't even put the little salad / hot sauce on top as I was really hungry. Overall it was really good. Of course, I moved on to the taco and thought it was kinda small, but thought to myself I should have ordered one more. I think it was comparable to the price that I paid, but for someone that was hungry I knew that maybe four wouldn't not be enough but thankfully the pupusas filled me up. I didn't finish my food completely as I drove home because I wanted to really sit down and try the food. My overall feedback on the tacos is to probably ask them to make my tacos medium rare if at all possible. Secondly, I would probably order at least five and maybe four pupusas. I think that would satisfy my craving and I would be full. I love supporting small businesses so if you are in the area, please stop by and try out this place.

El Pulgacito is a small cozy spot this sits in the El Salvador settled neighborhood called "Chirilagua," after the city in El Salvador of the same name. Known for its authenticity you can't go wrong for some great Central American cuisine. The pupusa portions are massive compared to other places, if I'm hungry I can only eat two. You have been warned going on thinking you can knock down four lol. My favorites are the steak and pork. Their curtido is the best I've had as well that comes with the pupusas, and it's slightly mixed with warm salsa and it's just so good. My go to drink is the Tamarindo, I'm not sure if they make it in house, but it seems as if they do. If you are into tamarind drinks and flavor, it's a go to for sure. I just call it the Central American sweet tea lol. The only other dishes I've tried were the Lomo Saltado and the enchilada, although they were ok, I personally wouldn't get them again based on the taste, portion, and price point of the pupusas. The service is always nice and attentive. You can't go wrong here if you are in the area be sure to grab you a pupusa.

My partner did note that the bathrooms weren't that great. You immediately get served complementary chips and salsa. They were pretty basic, but not bad. We ordered the following: + Papusas (Pork and Cheese & Loroco and Cheese) - Decent, although I prefer the Loroco (an edible flower bud). + Pollo à la Primavera (chicken dish) - Yummy, especially the sauce which mixes well with their hot/spicy sauce too! I could do without the salad dressing. + Camarones con Calabeza (shrimp dish) - Same as above! Note they leave the tails on. + Natural Juices (Mango and Maranon) - So refreshing! I loved the Maranon (cashew apple) was a wonderful burst of tropical sweetness with a subtle nutty taste. I appreciate that for the pupusas they had the foresight to provide my partner and I two plates so we could sphere the papusas. The portion sizes of the entrees were great for the price. It did take a while for the staff to swing by so that we could get boxes and the check. Note that credit cards and mobile pay are accepted. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back again to try more items on their menu.

I ordered the chicken enchiladas, a meat pie and a side of refried beans; hubby got two pupusas - bean/cheese and pork/bean. We also got refrescas, I got the melon/pina and he got tamarindo. The melon one was delish, mostly canteloupe flavor. The tamarindo was a little tart for me but still good. Important to know (and I did) but enchiladas at a Salvadoran place are not the same as Mexican or Tex-Mex enchiladas; they're what Mexican cuisines would call tostadas. Chicken, cabbage, cheese, a tomato slice, and a slice of hard boiled egg on a deep fried corn tortilla. These were delicious and the favorite part of my meal. I was worried that pickled cabbage would over power the other flavors but it didn't. They were great. The refried beans were so-so, I probably would skip them next time and the side portion is tiny. The meat pie was great though, I would get that again too. I had a bite of one of my husband's pupusas and it was good but I liked my enchiladas better. The prices here are extremely inexpensive. Our whole dinner was like $20 plus tax/tip I think. That's almost unheard of. The main issue is that they brought my food out very fast and then another 20 minutes til my husband got his. They could work a bit on timing orders a bit better. I shared, fear not, but orders should come out together. It's not a huge deal but an area for improvement.
