Ice matcha with lavender and oat milk

The ice matcha with lavender and oat milk was great and the service was nice. It was small but parking was easy on the street.

This was a random discovery for me while I was in Old town for an appointment. This is a very cute coffee shop that focuses on natural ingredients in their products. There is limited parking on the street so you may have to circle a few times. The employee who helped me was very friendly and explained the menu options. I had the pancake latte which was delicious and not overly sweet. I would def try some other options on another day that I am in the area!

Super cute local coffee shop in Old Town Alexandria! Decided to stop by and grab a matcha and ended up with the Greener Tea, a slice of lemon chia bread, and some cool stickers! The service was quick and friendly. Pricing was on par with the area. I do like thr fact that they incorporate the option to add protein to drinks and they focus on plant-based products and sustainable items. There are some seats for sitting and parking is street. I will definitely be back to try more of the specialty drinks and a new bakery item!

I stopped here randomly on a walk for a drink. The woman at the cashier was very helpful and suggested an iced hibiscus tea. I like that they have a variety of options and that their tea flavors are rotating. The hibiscus was refreshing (though not very sweet if that's what you're looking for) and had a very mild taste. It's a small space so there is no seating but would recommend for a quick snack or drink if you're on your way to Old Town.

Visited on a weekend morning. Small interior (I did not eat inside where seating is available) Fairly steady flow of customers coming in the morning and I had to wait a little bit for the order. I ordered the garden egg bites and vitality smoothie. The garden egg bites are small but flavorful. The vitality smoothie was hearty and energizing. I truly enjoyed the smoothie. $ There is limited street parking nearby

    Cool lighting!

Cool little hidden spot near old town Alexandria. They make protein coffee! The inside is small but cute artwork and fun stickers to purchase. There are a few tables outside! I ordered the pancake latte and it was pretty good. I will say the only negative is you can taste the gritty-ness of the protein powder if they don't blend it well. Tasted like a maple latte!

What an honor to be the first to write a review for this coffee shop with in adorable setting and with fantastic baristas. Many blessings. Coffee Shop No. 416 The Greenery Coffee Shop Alexandria, VA September 19, 2024 A few things stood out to me about The Greenery. First, the barista greeted me genuinely and warmly. Anyone who reads any of my posts has probably figured out I firmly believe a caring barista is more important than a perfectly made cortado. However I lucked out at The Greenery because I received a delicious velvety cortado from an awesome barista. Although, I should not be surprised because they use La Coop coffee beans. The second thing to stand out to me was their cups. As I looked around and asked questions I realized The Greenery is probably the most eco-friendly coffee I have ever visited. Thirdly, the building they call home is adorable. As I was crossing Queen Street I remember the blue door on white siding catching my attention and thinking, "I like it." Another thing that stood out to me were the unique names of their drinks; The Giver, The Windfall, The Pancake. This is not the type of shop where you can set up a work space, but it is definitely worth inviting a friend for some yummy coffee and a chat. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

The kind where one cookie can easily be shared (or not lol ). They're rich and sweet, so if you're someone who loves a heavy dessert that feels like a treat-treat, you'll be in heaven. Easily a 10/10 for that category. What really stood out to me was the variety of flavors. I tried the strawberry matcha cookie and was honestly surprised by how much I liked it. It had a really nice balance of flavors and didn't feel gimmicky at all. It's always a risk trying something a little different, but this one definitely paid off. Another thing I appreciated was that they had a section of cookies discounted because they were made the night before. I love when places do this...it's a great way to try more flavors without spending a lot, and honestly, the cookies were still really good. Service-wise, the cashier was super helpful and patient, especially when it came to explaining flavors and giving recommendations. That always makes a difference when you're staring at a case full of options and can't decide.

Not because of the flavors, but the ways you can get your sweet treat (like, cone, cup, sundae, etc.) and other various options (like ice cream, sorbet, custard, etc.) I sampled a couple of sorbet flavors and ended up with a small cup of those two flavors. A small cup is two scoops so it was perfect! The flavors were Lemon Lavender and POG (pomegranate, orange, guava). At first I think I liked the lavender best, but as I continued to eat, I think POG stole the show. They were both refreshing and flavorful and I appreciated the blends to give my tastebuds new flavors. Del Ray is such a cute neighborhood too. I sat outside at the tables/benches to eat. If you're planning a visit, their website is pretty slim and doesn't list all the options for getting a sweet treat. I do think it would be helpful for it to include those options. But others have posted pictures of their menu so you can search for that.

The server person was clearly impatient with him but made me a little uncomfortable. I got the "Kit Kat" ice cream sandwich. It came in an Oreo wafer and was chocolate custard and was hard as a rock, plus was bland. I had to go back in and ask if it was actually the right thing, since it was so unrelated to KitKat. The cashier guy said yeah, it is KitKat. I told him it was nasty. It was $7.70 when all was said and done. Don't be back.

On this day I was in The Dairy Godmother and noticed that Just Fine was also located there, so it was a good opportunity to try. It was a Saturday night almost 9pm and I didn't realize they were about to close. When I ordered my donut, I asked if I was getting ice cream too, should I pay separately or together and I was informed that since they were about to close, the donuts were free! And they asked if I wanted to try any others. So I got: mango tajin, chocolate cake (not pictured) and chocolate glazed. The chocolate cake was dry and didn't have much flavor. The chocolate glazed was my favorite. The donut was cakey and reminded me of some sweet treat from my childhood that I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe some of the Entenmann's donuts? Anyway, it was really good for being a simple and plain donut. The manjo tajin wasn't bad. It's a plain vanilla cake donut with the mango and tajin in the icing. The flavors were good, but it wasn't worth me finishing. I love donuts and I love specialty donuts. While they may have some, this wasn't a place that I will include in my regular donut rotation, but I'm glad I finally got to try them.

Either way I just found Lily's Chocolate & Coffee while venturing up and down King Street, and well with the help of Yelp because this was a plan to visit later in October. But, I decided my kiddos needed a treat. Located on a corner you walk into hues of pink, florals and the smell of chocolate and coffee. I became immediately distracted by the toppings and melted chocolate. But, when I snapped out of it, I was able to place my order. I opted for the Dubai chocolate inspiration over strawberries. If I remember correctly it was around $20 five or take. The cafe is so cute. It is small and if crowded be prepared to navigate that. There is bathrooms inside but, I do not know if it is for customers or not, as they were locked when we were there. The staff were just starting for the day. But they were helpful, kind and ready to roll. Once we received our order we sat down and dug right in. The strawberries were fresh, large and draped over in chocolate, pistachio cream and katifia. This is not my first time having Dubai chocolate or Dubai inspired chocolate. I thoroughly enjoy it over strawberries. There is just something about chocolate ad strawberries. Overall a wonderful place. I highly recommend visiting

After taking a look at the candy, gelato and desserts, we settled on key lime pie. The key lime pie was pretty good, though it was perhaps a little too sweet and the filling rather dry. Because we were first time customers, the shopkeeper offered us each a piece of complimentary candy. The candy had a shell filled with a confection containing Japanese citrus yuzu fruit. The shell was coated with dark chocolate. I'm just going to say this was the tastiest, most delightful candy I've ever sampled. Dolce & Bean also sells attractively designed packages of candies. These would make good gifts. We absolutely will be back for more candy and want to try the gelato. One minor thing is that the shop was chilly and I had to put my hoodie on.
