It's a good amount of food for what you get. Quick standard service. Biscuits and gravy were rather tasteless. Good toast and eggs with a plentiful amount of hash. The hash was rather salty, but it mixed well with the plain toast. Good medium rare steak for a diner. The ultimate omelette is one of the better items you can get on the menu with lots of filling meat and veggies. Also came with the hash brown which went well with the (less salty) omelette. Everyone knows about Denny's so the menu is simple for breakfast and/or lunch. It's not usually my go to, but after stopping at a nearby restaurant that DOES NOT allow you to order simple plates of food; but requires seated guests to order their Sunday brunch at $34.95/person.....Denny's was a no-brainer! I like ordering a side of extra crispy hash browns. The kids like the children's menu and the all you can drink hot chocolate with whip cream. It's a great value and their pancakes are not bad. Service at this location is good, the waiters can take your order without even writing it down. Their house coffee can be improved, it's your typical diner quality. I went to try their Beetlejuice menu and it did not disappoint. Their beetlejuicy burger has three patties of meat with cheese and other burger toppings. The service was really great and the coffee refilled kept coming. The waiter even offered me the option to take home a coffee which was nice. They even had a robot to bring your food and drinks which was fun to watch. I ordered an omelette with steak in it and my only complaint was the steak tasted very processed - almost like those frozen pre cooked steak strips you get from the grocery store. Prices are reasonable, and portions are decent enough. This location is quite clean, and the seats are adequate for us tall folks. I like the breakfasts. Grand Slams with their strong coffee works. I do happen to like their pancakes as well. Breakfast is their best meals. Lunch and dinner not as much, but they have some alright sandwiches. 11/28/21 Our server's name is Mary. The place is Denny's in Fairfax. The time is right now...16:54. The place is pretty empty, but service seems to be going slow nevertheless. We were told by Nana(spelling?) Pick a seat. Mary ended up being our server, but she did not understand everything thing we were saying. I am not sure what her native tongue is, but she was trying and I appreciate her attempts to speak English. I was in the mood for blueberry pancakes with crispy turkey bacon. Since I hate eating eggs, I substituted them with avocados and red potatoes instead of hashbrowns. The avocados were delicious. Everything else was delicious. The food is normally outstanding; as well, as the service. Today only the food was sensational. To many times Mary our server did not check on us. The place was dead, she ignored us. This really came I to effect when we were waiting for our check. She was nowhere to be found. In the end we had to get Nana's attention. I am not sure if the entire staff have been replaced in the morning, but my wife noticed the entire staff were from India. It explains why I mistook two ladies for Hispanic. Boy, Dennis has come along way! They used to be the place you go to eat because it was late at night, no one else was open, and you were usually drunk. I have to say, we came here for brunch and the food was absolutely great. And I don't mean great for Danny's, I mean straight up great. The pancakes were absolutely perfect, I do not use the term "perfect" very often, but the pancakes were perfect. Light, fluffy, delicious, what more do you want a pancake??? The strawberry stuffed French toast was amazing, the eggs were perfectly cooked, the sausages delicious, and my Denver omelette is something I would order again and again. Our server was Floyd, and he was everything you could possibly want in a server. Attentive without being smothering, friendly, helpful, we didn't even have to ask for a to go box, he just knew and had one ready for us. My coffee was never empty (and that is MY #1 requirement as a caffeine addict lol) Overall the place is clean and bright. The tables are a bussed please quickly and efficiently the rest of us are clean, however the waste paper receptacle needed to be emptied, but to be fair we were in the middle of a Sunday brunch rush. The overall state of the bathroom indicated that it does get a regular cleaning Speaking of being in the middle of a brunch rush, When we arrived here the place was slammed. We were expecting a wait of 45 minutes or longer judging by the amount of people that were ahead of us. We waited less than 10 minutes. *Cold Food To Go Orders*, a couple of other reviwers have experienced the same. The problem with their to go orders is that they put the food in an ice cold to go container hence to food gets cold. I don't know if the containers are stored in a cold setting or if they just sit it on something cold for pick up but by the time u get back to ur destination, the food itself is cold. I ordered the slam, the eggs and turkey bacon, they were at the bottom of the container and taste like they came out the fridge, "ice cold", the Brioche French Toast on top was warm being that it wasn't touching the bottom part of the container. Overall, it is unsatisfactory. This has happened to me more than once at this location, so i decided to write a review.
