Do not recommend. The worst chicken sandwich I've ever had. I got the junior sandwich which was very soggy, bland, and disappointing. The flavor was barely there; the comeback sauce helped, but even that was just ok. I could not get over how soggy the whole sandwich was, and we ate it immediately after they cooked it and handed it to us. The entire bun was soaked, along with the fried chicken, which was not crispy at all. Halfway through, the chicken's breading came completely off, and rest of the sandwich disintegrated into mush. It was horrible and super messy to eat. By the end, I was basically just eating an unseasoned and bare chicken cutlet. There was barely any slaw my sandwich, which added to the disappointment. To give them some credit, the chicken was juicy, but with how wet the whole sandwich was, I do not recommend Wooboi. The only good thing were the waffle fries, which were nice and crispy, but a bit too oily.

Great service and delicious food. I'm glad they opened another location closer to us. The tenders were massive and really filling. I'm a chicken (pun intended) so I got the mild spice and it was perfect for those who want some flavor without being worried about their mouth being on fire. I personally love the Mumbo sauce the most, it's tangy and thin. The comeback sauce is good but more of a mayo based sauce and dense. The chicken breading could have been a little thicker to enhance the crunch, but I certainly felt like I got my moneys worth with the quantity of meat. The tenders come with a slice of bread and some pickles as well. Certainly will come back again!

I love a good hot chicken sandwich so I decided to finally try out the local favorite. The chicken was super juicy and had a good heat to it. The slaw and sauce helped to complement the chicken well. My only downside was how messy it was and the sandwich integrity. Due to the sauce and such, the bread was soaked and falling apart. While a good problem to have, I'd rather have my sandwiches hold a little more. Aside from that, great flavor and I can see why people love it!

The slaw on the chicken sandwich was soooo good!! I also enjoyed the chicken tenders and Choi fries. The chicken in all dishes was so juicy on the inside but crunchy on the outside. We got level 3 spicy -- was expecting it to be spicier but it was still pleasant. There is no seating in the restaurant, so everything is takeout, but the staff was very nice. Definitely try out all of the sauces to see which one you like.

The spiciest chicken I've ever tasted. Try their Code Blue if you want a challenge! I met the owner a few weeks ago, and he told me about his new Wooboi Hot Chicken place in Fairfax. I wanted to go here to try their Code Blue since I love challenges! The owner was in culinary school and he met someone who introduced him to Nashville style chicken. He loved it and decided to create his own variant of this! What's unique about this chicken is the chicken is fried first, coded with a chili oil, and then seasoned with their unique spices. The seasonings are all natural and they make their own spice blends. I tried their chicken wings, their spicy chicken sandwich, their French fries, and their code blue chicken nuggets. My favorite was their spicy chicken sandwich. I'm Asian and could hold my spices but level 3 needed some water with it! I would still get a level 3 but not go above that! Plenty of parking.

Inside ordering counter. No room for seating at all.

My old office was right by the original restaurant in Herndon, and we used to go all the time. Their chicken sandwich is definitely the best in Northern VA, and I would have given the new Fairfax location a 5/5 but two things are big negatives. They don't offer fountain sodas, just bottled specialty brands, and there is no seating at all. I don't think they can do much about the seating, but some outside tables would have been much better than eating in my car. As for the fountain drinks, the Herndon restaurant had them, so I'm not sure why this location doesn't. So, the sando chicken sandwich is still the best in the area, absolutely destroys Hangry Joes, Popeyes, and Chic Fil A. The regular waffle fries are great, but it looks like they don't offer sweet potato fries anymore.

Wooboi is here in fairfax near us so we just have to try it out! They have no lines, about 10 mins to make the chicken sado as they seem to be in their training time still. The sando came out delicious. There is a kiosk you can place your order or you can order it with a team member. The chicken is nice, hot and thick. If you have not had wooboi before, there are five sauces and and 6 level of spicy including guiness world record level of spicy. If you buy the guiness record of spicy one, you can sign your name on the wall. Chicken is tender and juicy. The sando will fill you up and it is about $13 per sanwich but it's pretty hefty. This location have only a few chairs to sit and wait for the food, there is no table to sit there and eat (fyi for first timers). Will come back to try the tenders next time :)

This is a pretty solid chicken sandwich place in the NOVA area. I ordered the chicken sandwich at a mild heat level. It was very good. The chicken was super crispy, and I loved the slaw on top. The thing bringing down this rating was definitely the fries. They were super stale. I understand that having them sit around will make them a little soggy, and I would be okay with that, but these fries tasted like they had been sitting around all day. But I did like the seasoning on them. I thought the portion size was pretty good. I would probably come back here again, but I do think there are other hot chicken places in the area that are pretty good as well and may be a better deal.

Worth the wait since it is cooked to order. The fry is the key. A nice crispy crunchy texture that's making the wings pop. Solid wings.

She was very nice and helpful with me ordering my food for the first time. Now to the bad part. I've heard a bunch about this place and maybe it was hyped up a lil too much but I was disappointed with the food. I got the classic chicken salad croissant sandwich with couple sides. The broccoli side was pretty good. Tasted solid but I feel like it would be better hot or at least w melted cheese instead of just cold shredded pieces on top. The Mac cheese was just plain cheap microwaved stuff with bland runny sauce n no extra cheese on top. And then the sandwich. I've been obsessed w chicken salad sandwichs (specifically on a croissant) since my older brother used to work at Vie De France back in the 90's. I was excited to try this and it wasn't horrible or even bad but it wasn't great. The croissant was prob the worst part. Its like not a real croissant, it reminded me of something u would get on an airplane. It wasn't flaky and just kinda tastes like white bread. The chicken salad was also mid at best. Very bland and unimpressive Specially at almost 20 bucks for the platter. Maybe I should try one of the other kind. And I will. I'll give this place one more try. Maybe I'll update this then. But for now I do not recommend.

There haven't been a lot of very good hot chicken places I've tried. It's a nice concept, but as with everything that takes over the scene like wildfire, and erupts like Mount Etna once did on sicily, hot chicken is often imitated, but very seldom actually perfected. You can find some great versions in Nashville, and here and there around the country, but I'd say 95% are hipster, overpriced, not too special. Very much chain food these days. Along those lines, Hangry Joe's is definitely a chain, not too personal, not too much that separates it from the rest, but still worth a try if you are a fan of this type of food. I've definitely had worse (looking at you Dave's), but it didn't make me run back for more, and I thought Crimson Coward was a little better. Give it a try and decide for yourself! Props to this and the other locations, as this chain seems to be doing quite well. First off kudos on the chicken fingers, as they have a lime/avocado marinade taste that's delicious. The quality and marinade cannot be disputed. Savor the flavor. This is revolutionary tasting chicken, and the way it falls off, is proof of quality. Fries are not what they used to be. Servings size is skimpy. When you're paying $15 and a tip, these need to be upgraded on both counts please. The biggest disappointment is the toast. Got the heel piece, of white bread last night. When competitors offer Texas toasts that exemplify excellence, this heel of white bread from what appears to be the grocery store, ugh. Thank you to the really nice employees. They are all friendly. Turn around time was good too. This is a very clean location. Definitely like it here, as the ambiance is pretty sweet. Yet my hope is that I write this review honestly, and want them to be back to better. Good spot but that amount of fries and white bread, let's see a turnaround in those aspects.

It was good, don't get me wrong, but doesn't justify the price The wings were also disappointing. While they have the signature Bonchon double fried taste, there's actually very little meat - I'm not sure what kind of chicken they're getting but don't be fooled by the 'size' in the photos - you take one bite, and its a lot of crunch and a lot of air. Sando is MASSIVE - for 10 bucks, the chicken patty is literally spilling out on the sides and there is a lot of meat in there. Medium spicy was just right for us and very well balanced with the sauce, toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickle?) easily fills up a hungry stomach The bone-in were equally fantastic. Lots of meat on the bone, very crispy, obviously using nice fat hens here. They only come in plain, which is perfectly fine, and a selection of different sauces to dip in. Their house sauce is a bit ranch-ier, little bit of heat, little bit of sweet - overall a nice balance.
