    Whole Chicken
    Andrew M.

Never dined in, always carried out food. Inside looked roomy enough for diners, and reasonably clean. There is plenty of parking outside. Service is pretty quick, especially when you call ahead. Chicken is always great, the whole chicken is enough to feed the family, and fall-off-the bone good. Made to order subs are really good and come with plenty of fries. This is my go-to spot for quick and convenient Peruvian chicken.

    Half chicken Yucca Salad

The chicken was pretty dry and didn't have much for a half chicken. But, it wasn't terrible just lacking in comparison to others. The yucca was hard and not worth eating. The portion was great but when none of it is any good it just seems like a waste. The sauces were alright, not to my liking but they were not bad by any means. Overall, they seem like they know what they're doing and the chicken looks good. However, my experience was poor and I don't think I will be returning to give them another chance.

I'm a big fan of El Pollo Rico but I live near the Centreville area so I'm not always able to make a drive out to Arlington when I crave Peruvian chicken. I used to visit Max's Chicken in Fairfax but I needed to find a place closer to home. Fortunately, Chicken Latino has been able to satisfy my cravings. Their quality is good enough and it's priced just right. This is my new go-to whenever I need a quick fix.

My dear Yelp friend Ruth C Is absolutely right. Yuca was cut thick which was okay but not fried long enough. The quarter chicken dark meat looked like it was cooked a while ago, dry and not flavorful at all. Now I miss El Pollo Rico!!!

Very good! Tastes good and a very reasonable price for what you get! would be nice if they had a few more side choices!

The chicken, rice and beans taste good. The seasoning of the chicken is throughout and it's not dry.

The chef knows what they are doing!! I ordered the passion fruit pisco sour, it was perfectly blended with right hit of liquor and tart passion fruit. Delicious drink I could drink over and over again. I ordered the shrimp soup- it was different but yummy and filling. These portions are NOT small!!! The plantains were perfectly ripe and fried. They also provide tostado or little popped and fried corn kernels for a crunchy snack while you wait for your meal. Everyone's order looked amazing, the charcoal chicken looked seasoned perfectly and just the right amount of crispy skin to juicy meat. They have sauce bottles of the white, green, and red sauces to self serve. And these sauces are liquid GOLD. The green sauce has a Smokey flavor to it and the red was so spicy!!! The next time I went- I ordered the plate of fried fish and seafood. I think half the ocean was on that plate. The calamari was so fresh and the fried exterior was light and crunchy! The pickled onion that came with that plate was so delicious and lemony!! The inside of the restaurant is cozy decorated with Peruvian murals and keepsakes. It's very much a hole in the wall and I've driven by many times without really knowing what it was....NEVER AGAIN!! Try this spot out and support, you will not regret it. I'm getting the lomo saltado next :)

They have good drink options which was nice for a group which all had different tastes. We started with appetizers, including the chicken empanadas, the tuna tacos, and ceviche sampler. The chicken empanadas were good, if not particularly memorable. But had a nice crunch on the shell and the inside had a nice savory flavor and not dry. The tuna tacos, which didn't have the most appetizing color, was also tasty. The tuna was tender and balanced well with the crispy shell. The ceviche sampler was also delicious, each one having a different flavor profile. I liked the tigre de leche the best in terms of the acidity and brightness. I just wish the ceviche had some kind of vessel to eat it with. One of the ceviche had plantain chips which was nice but I wanted more. Without it, the texture is just one note. For the main dishes, we got the lomo saltado and the aji de gallina which are two, iconic Peruvian dishes. Both were just meh. The aji was the better of the two. The sauce was flavored well with the creaminess of the sauce not overwhelming the garlic and tumeric flavors. But the rice was SUPER dry, almost crunchy. The lomo saltado was even worse. The beef was overly cooked, some pieces were very sinewy and chewy. It was also overly salty and the veggie to meat ratio heavily favored the veggies and made the dish feel cheap. Overall, it was fine but given the options for Peruvian in DC, not sure this deserves 4 stars+.

I don't even have a huge appetite, and the amount of food I received was still surprisingly small. The service was also disappointing from the moment I arrived. The restaurant was completely empty, yet no one greeted me or acknowledged me when I walked in. I eventually had to walk over to the bar area myself to ask about my pickup order. The woman working there looked confused that I was even asking and mumbled a response I could barely understand. I figured maybe she was busy, so I waited, but the entire experience became increasingly uncomfortable. I stood there awkwardly for about 10 minutes while the employees talked amongst themselves and kept looking over at me, yet no one updated me on my order or even spoke to me. The worst part was the food itself. The potatoes in the Papa a la Huancaína were cold and partially raw. I literally had to finish cooking them in the microwave at work. The empanada was decent, and the alfajor would have gotten better marks if it weren't for the small hair I found on it, but overall the experience was not worth the price. Unfortunately, I wouldn't ever come back. Revash has better portions, better prices, and overall much better food.
