I give this place three stars because it definitely has an even mix of pros and cons such as: Pros -- 1) Friday night karaoke with DJ Dakota Danger is always a great time. People who participate are always very supportive of each other too. 2) The food is great. So are the staff except for one member, which leads to... Cons -- 1) Whenever my friends and I have gone to karaoke, there's one young, slight of build waitress with tan skin and long brunette hair who always gives us dirty looks and the cold shoulder. Whenever she's been our waitress, her tone of voice has always been snippy, snotty, and borderline passive-aggressive as if she treats us like we're stupid. We always can't help but wonder what we ever did to deserve all that. We even complained to her boss, who admitted to us that he had been getting multiple complaints about her rude behavior. So why has he not fired her? 2) Of course it's a bar but one of its major downsides is that it reeks of beer. Seriously, the smell's way too strong. Sometimes the patio reeks of weed too because an observation I've made is that this place tends to attract a lot of potheads, druggies, and shady characters. Case in point, twice over the course of just one month when my friends and I have been there, the police were called because someone was found unconscious in the restroom after someone else slipped something in their drinks. On top of that, one guy got right in someone's face after he yelled "F**k Trump!". Thankfully, someone was able to come to the anti-Trumper's defense and ask the pro-Trumper calmly to back off, which he did. Drinks are never empty long, if they get empty at all. The food comes out faster than you'd expect for a group of 8-10. I'm partial to the Chicken Caesar Wrap and the Spicy Fried Chicken sandwich, but I've also had the tacos. All have been very good. I'm not a Fish and Chips guy, but others in the group have ordered them and raved about them. As others have said, it's a typical American sports bar. Lots of TVs, but not loud like a lot of places tend to be. Which is nice because you can chat with your friends without having to shout over the TV or music. I arrived at this institution to join a large group of mostly strangers to watch UFC 301. The stressful circumstances of my presence in this restaurant already stacked the odds against Crafthouse. The bar was packed with people ages 21 to 62, all united by their interest in either the UFC or having something to do on a Saturday night. It was loud, it was crowded, and it was filled with an amount of testosterone that made me want to go home. However the staff, namely the bouncer and the bartender, were very hospitable. I ordered a Shirley Temple, and the bartender delivered. Pardon the less than satisfactory photo, I had other issues on my mind. But as you can hopefully see, there is a sufficiently fizzy, sufficiently red, sufficiently sized beverage topped with a maraschino cherry. The drink itself tasted great. There could've been more cherries. But, there can ALWAYS be more cherries, do with this statement what you want. I'm pleased to say this Shirley Temple is made by somebody who has a solid foundation in the art of mixology. This Shirley Temple, my brother who made me talk to people, and the surprisingly entertaining fights, salvaged the night. Every time I stood there wanting to go home, I thought that at the very least, I should finish my awesome Shirley Temple. My friends and I went to dinner at Crafthouse on Sunday night. We had never been there before (at least, not since it was Fanfare many years ago). The food was okay but I absolutely have to commend the service! We arrived pretty late (it was after 10:00) and we sat at the bar. The young man working there was so incredibly helpful. It had been a pretty long day for us and we were just looking for someplace to go to unwide. He helped us decide on some appetizers and served us some pretty amazing drinks. We felt really bad coming in so late because it was obvious that the restaurant is incredibly short staffed. The young man tending the bar appeared to be waiting tables in the dining room as well.
