This is strictly a carry out. They do have 2 seats if you have to sit at a counter to eat. It seems that people mainly order over the phone or in person and grab their food to go. They do have a one person restroom to use as well. I tried calling in my order several times and I could never get through. It amazed me that while I was in the establishment the counter person picked up the phone and took an order. My brother recommended this place and treated me to a Crabcake and fish sandwich. The sandwich does not come with any sides and was $16 for a 5 ounce crabcake and two pieces of Whiting. I was not impressed at all. The crabcake did not taste good and my whiting was not hot and fresh. This really surprised me because I waited the 15 minutes in the establishment for my food to be ready. I literally pulled over three minutes after getting in the car from receiving my order and took a bite of the sandwich. I was told this place is known for their fish sandwich and maybe I should've just got straight fish because that crabcake was really bad to me. Nothing tasted fresh and I could've done without this food. The young lady who took my order was pleasant enough for this type of establishment. This place was definitely one and done.

So according to TikTok this place has the best fish sandwich in the Baltimore ..AND WHEN I SAY ITS A FACT! The double Whitting sandwich with special sauce is the best thing by far ! The fish is perfectly seasoned ... the sandwich is just right . Located on the corner and with less than a 16 minute wait , I'll definitely return ! The place inside is very small with no seating room. The service is pleasant and quick .

Solid breakfast carryout with other food options. Very affordable as well. My family wanted breakfast sandwiches and I decided to give J&M's a try. They are black owned and located not too far from mt Vernon. The lady that took my order was nice and friendly and they use fresh ingredients you can see them making your food as you wait. The waiting space is a bit small with only one chair so recommend you wait in your car or call in advance. We ordered 4 breakfast sandwiches 1 cinnamon bagel egg cheese bacon - 4.5/5 1 everything bagel egg cheese bacon - 3.75/5 1 plain bagel egg sausage - 3.75 1 croissant egg cheese bacon - 3.5/5 Mind you this was all under $25.

Hi! I saw this business on Tiktok and although it was a bit of a drive, my cousins and I wanted to fry the fish sandwich. The line nor the wait was bad. The server was kind, pleasant. The establishment looked cleaned and calm. The staff seemed to have everything under control! The sandwich was pretty big. I ate half and saved half, it was really good. The fries were ok, they could have cooked longer however! they were hot . I will go back ! Fyi..Street parking!

Cheesefish sandwich (tilapia)

I'm torn on this place. I went here for the viral fish sandwich. There were a few people in front of me, but the wait time was short. I ordered the tilapia fish sandwich with lettuce, mayo, fried onions and cheese; a Rotisserie leg quarter; and 10 honey Old Bay wings with fries. First, the fish sandwich... it was humongous! But there was only one little square of cheese on it, a few pieces of shredded lettuce and NO ONIONS (that I ordered) ughh!!! The fish was ok but definitely could've been seasoned more. The party wings tasted different. My daughter didn't like them, but I did. They were not crispy, but kinda soft. I don't like hard wings. So, they worked for me. The fries that came with them looked old and wrinkled and there were pieces of the fried chicken grease in them. Idk if that was intentional or not. We didn't eat them. The leg quarter was also interesting because it looked fully cooked but the meat was a little hard to pull off the bone. Perhaps it just needed to be hot. However, the seasoning was among the best I've tasted in a while. The customer service was good and although I don't really consider this a rave review, I would certainly give them another try.

Came here on a Wednesday afternoon. Big Keish sent me to try the fish sandwich, and I did just that. When you walk in the place is fairly small, but cozy. Lots of items on the menu to try. Markiya was at the front and she was super sweet. She ran down the menu for me, and made a couple recommendations. I got the seafood salad, and of course, the fish sandwich. You have a choice between catfish and whiting. I got catfish with lettuce, tonatoes, onions, cheese and extra tartar sauce. And boyyyy it did not disappoint. The fish was actually seasoned, and the sandwich itself was huge. Markiya recommended the "blue drink", which was blue raspberry lemonade. It tasted just like old school kool aid. 10/10. The seafood salad was also delicious. Even with a good amount of orders ahead of me, I waited less than 20 min. Im not in Baltimore a lot, but you can bet this will be a stop when I return. Thanks again Markiya for your recommendations and awesome customer service.

Fried catfish sandwich

The woman who took my order was very patient and helpful! Everything was correct so customer service A+ in my opinion. The catfish sandwich was delicious! Seasoned, fresh and hot! Next time I will omit lettuce because the heat from the fish aged it faster than Caucasian skin. Parking is challenging but I found a spot. Pack your patience too, I noticed a few people getting irritated with the wait but everything is made fresh to order. Overall 8.5/10!!!

I waited 20 minutes for this omelette, and unfortunately, it did not justify either the wait or the $17 price tag. The presentation was sloppy, with ingredients spilling out and unevenly cooked eggs. The omelette appeared rushed rather than freshly and carefully prepared. For $17, I expected better quality, attention to detail, and at the very least a meal that looked complete and appetizing. Delays happen, but when there's a long wait, the food should make up for it -- this didn't. I was disappointed and would hesitate to order this again unless there's a noticeable improvement in both preparation and value.

me and him liked your food

I've recently started working in the area and they are supper close thus I decided to try them out…read more I was very excited when I saw it was Korean owned however their K-food section is only two items; Bulgogi Dupbap & the Bulgogi Sub. The rest of the menu is American stuff. I've as of now tried both of these and very content with the taste and filling of these two, the price is reasonable per the portion and yummyness($12.49) plus tax about $13.25. The only thing I would change a bit is making sure that the juice from the bulgogi doesn't soak the bread too much cuz then it's mushy. I like a crunchy texture to my subs, but the may be just my preference. Both the son and the mom are super nice, if you become a regular it's very nice to have people know what you want right away. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. I hope that they can incorporate more korean food to their menu, at least 2 more that have a different protein so we have a bit more variety. Though I understand why the options for kfood are limited given the area's population. Things to keep in mind: - When you order let them know if you want it to go or to eat there. Nobody can read minds, but they will do their best to ask you prior to packaging to confirm. - It can get busy so sometimes transaction may take longer because people are multitasking. - - - Don't rip out the receipt, you might be taking the wrong copy. Wait for the cashier to hand it to you or simply ask. -If you have questions about a product, ask them and don't assume. Yes. There is a big menu and pamphlets available and they provide brief item description but if that's not clear, just ask. They also have prepackaged salads, fruit and a few sweet treats, along with MissVickies chips, and bottle drinks. It's a cafe so the basics. Overall, really nice experience. Tots recommended :3

Solid Experience, But I Miss the Old Owner…read more Café on the Square is a reliable spot with decent food and a cozy atmosphere. The service was good, and the dishes were tasty, but nothing that really stood out. That being said, I miss the old owner--there was something special about his presence that made every visit feel more welcoming and personal. I hope the new management keeps things moving in the right direction. I'll definitely return, but it's just not quite the same without the old vibe.

I had the Southern Slammer Sandwich (with the grits) and my sister had the Fried Chicken, Biscuit and Gravy Omelet (with the hash browns). We couldn't stop saying how good they were! The service was on point, everyone was very nice, and the noise level was fine. Here is something I literally have never experienced anywhere else: My sister has a couple of food allergies and she gave the waitress a piece of paper where she listed out what she can and cannot have. A few minutes later, a lovely young woman (I think she said she was a manager) came out and discussed the list with my sister in detail, just to make sure the restaurant got it exactly right. My sister almost cried! As far as timing goes: They don't take reservations, but they have an efficient system -- when you arrive, they take down your name and phone number, tell you how long the wait will be, and then text you when it's your turn. They told us 40 minutes but it turned out to be only 20, so it's good we hadn't wandered too far away. Next time we're in Baltimore, we'll definitely be back.

The restaurant itself is small and cozy, so we had about a 30 minute wait, but it was worth it. We ordered the G&G Country Scramble, Sweet Baby Jesus, Cap'n Crunch French Toast, and the spicy crab, tomato, and pepper jack dish. The menu definitely has a Southern-style Maryland feel with things like crab, biscuits and gravy, and grits throughout. Portions are huge, and the food was rich, comforting, and very filling. We absolutely needed a nap afterward. The Cap'n Crunch French Toast was perfect to share for the table. I recommend eating it first while it is still crispy on the outside. Our table favorite was the G&G Country Scramble, followed closely by the Sweet Baby Jesus. I also tried the homemade lemonade and it was delicious. Service was great and the whole place had a warm, family-style atmosphere. One helpful thing to note, a 20% gratuity is automatically included on bills over $50, and they do not split checks.
