    Jambalaya

Stopped in for lunch in this brand new restaurant. While we waited for our pizza, they brought us a free jambalaya entree to try. It was very good. The shrimp were quite large and the entire dish was perfectly seasoned; a little spicy but not too much. Next came our 16" Hawaiian pizza. It was fresh made and loaded with toppings. We really enjoyed it.

The Creole salmon and grits topped with shrimp were rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. And the beignets? pillowy, layered and flaky and warm. I kept telling my partner they taste like heaven, I can't put it into better words than that! We also had the fries and their jungle juice, which was bold and unforgettable. It looks like tea but it's all juice! It's clear the love and intention is put into everything coming out of that kitchen--and to top it off, the head chef is so sweet and friendly. You can feel the passion not just in the food, but in the whole experience. It's located inside R house, so the ambience is modern, with a few southern touches behind the counter! If you're craving soulful Southern comfort food with real depth, Creole Soul delivers. Easily one of the best soul food meals I've had in Baltimore so far.

My son and I shared the Captain's Catch seafood boil with the house blend seasoning... which included 3LBs of seafood (Dungeness Crab, Shrimp, and Mussels, and potatoes and corn) The portion was plentiful and the taste was AMAZING! Leah our waitress was so helpful and walked us through the ordering process. Leah made our experience even more memorable !!! My family and I will definitely return to Baltimore Seafood when we visit the Baltimore again. The whole experience was fun for all. In the past we've had a Gimlet here, so we asked and they made us one while we waited, even though it wasn't featured on their online menu. Basically it's a pleasant gin with bright lime juice and probably simple syrup. Very refreshing, and served chilled with a slice of lime in an intricately-etched Nick & Nora coupe. I ordered a freshly-fried $16 Catfish Po' Boy, with lettuce and tomato and a little very lightly-spicy mayo-butter sauce on fresh French Bread. It's a generous enough sandwich that I ate it in two goes, and that bread really crisped-up beautifully flakey! Because we cannot resist, we also got an order of fresh-made deep-fried beignets, little randomly-shaped crispy pastry-dough treats in a sneezeable amount of powdered sugar. It came with chocolate dipping sauce, which was a fun addition. The food and drink were delightful, as were the staff.

Upon arriving, we asked to sit in outside/inside area and we were sat by the hostess. When we went to ask for drinks from the person who sat us, she informed us that she was not a waitress, and then our waitress would be coming soon. After quite some time, our waitress approach the table with quite an attitude asking for our order. We ordered RAW oysters, lemonade, and a lemon crusher. After about 10 minutes, we received our raw oysters which we consumed and about five minutes later, we received our food which consisted of mozzarella sticks and a catfish entrée. We begin eating our entrées and still had not received our drinks. I made my way to the bar and let one of the bartenders know that we had ordered a drink and not received it. She passed that message along to our waitress, and I was on the way to the bathroom when I saw the interaction. Our waitress seemed to be not at all interested in what the hostess had to say in pertains to our drink. I proceeded to sit at the bar and wait for our drink as I watched her take shots with other patrons in the establishment. I then went to the bathroom and returned to my table and two minutes later, she arrived with my very much watered down, lemon crusher. When we asked her for the receipt and told her that we didn't receive particular items, she rang us up and slammed the tablet onto the table. When we expressed this to the manager, we were offered free shots and while I do recommend this restaurant I would recommend it during hours when they have more staff.

I made a reservation to be on the safe side, so we were able to be checked in and seated within a few minutes of us getting there. It was a vibe in there and made me feel like I was back at some of the brunch parties I went to in Jersey with my friends with the dj playing a great mix of songs (r&b, hip hop, house music). Our waitress came over pretty quickly to check in with us and give us the rundown on the bottomless food process. She was just great overall, being pretty attentive but giving us time to enjoy the food vibe, making sure our food was brought to us and we had everything we need; very good service from her. Now the most important part... The food was delicious! And the perfect portion sizes so that we actually were able to sample a bunch of items since it was unlimited orders of the food during our dining time (2 hours max). For $55 per person, it was well worth it! We both enjoyed pretty much everything lol, but some perosnal favorites were the Fried Devil Eggs, Catfish and Grits, Oysters Rockefeller and the lemon pepper flavored Creole Wings. Everything was good though. Definitely a place to check out if you are living and passing through the area. Loved it and would go back if I lived there.

I liked the cornbread breading on them. Creole Wings Wings were a bit overcooked, making the chicken a tad dry. The sauce was good, and they were also nice and saucy. Blueberry Cornbread Light and golden cornbread with blueberry compote on top. Perfect sweetness, I had this as the dessert and this fed my soul! Honey Butter Chicken & Waffle A golden brown waffle, with the crisp outside and soft inside, absolutely perfect. Excellent seasoning on the chicken breast. Great ratio with the thinner waffle, allowing a good chicken to waffle bite. It also left room to try other items. The syrup was a bit basic. A honey brown butter syrup would've set this off. All in all, a good rendition. Snow Crab Legs Creole Old Bay Garlic butter sauce was fire. Too bad you don't get any for dipping. Crab was steam perfectly. These were excellent!! Glad it's bottomless, cause 1 cluster was not enough! I asked for the sauce, alas they forgot it. These feed my soul! Fried Deviled Eggs Fried and topped with crab, yes, please! Freshly fried, so they are warm!! Winning! Excellent crunch on the egg base with the panko breadcrumbs. The sweet relish hit the salty and sweet taste, excellent flavor blend in each bite. These fed my soul! Banana Pudding It's the fluffy instant pudding version. Heavy on the instant banana flavored pudding. Making everything else on the menu and then serving an instant dessert,is basic and mediocre at best. I'm a traditionalist when it comes to banana pudding, so have the original homemade base and spin off from there is the way to feed my soul, so this was not worth the calories. Service First place I've been to that the service matched the automatic gratuity. Server was attentive Ana circulated around the tables enough. Food runners brought the food out hot. They also had separate table clearers. Well done. Bottomless Brunch was a vibe, good food and great music by Konan & Rodd Madd Flava!! Price is comparable to the amount your get. Head on over to check them out!
