2/15/26 Update! Lib's Grill has become our regular pit stop on the way to D.C. We have become "regulars" and our server that we ask for every time, (Brenna) is a bright light and always provides us with amazing service that keeps us coming back! We all enjoyed our lunch and I have to say, Lib's Grill was rocking! It was President's Weekend Holiday and every table was taken for brunch/lunch. I decided to stop in on a Saturday night to catch the Knicks/Spurs game and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't crowded. Upon grabbing a seat at the bar, I looked over the menu and decided on the Cajun Chicken flatbread and a couple MD Crushes. Both came out in a nicely prepared and in timely manner. Lib's grill wasn't noisy on a Tuesday for happy hour. It was easy to hear and have conversation. I love how there were sports games on the tv but also trivia for the people who aren't into sports! Service was great. The woman and man running the bar were excellent in getting our drink and food orders. They work very well together. The raw oysters were good. The size of them wasn't consistent and they didn't come with Tabasco sauce which was surprising. It does come with the horse radish, lemon wedges, cocktail sauce, and mignonette sauce. Turns out, I really liked the mignonette sauce and it was my first time trying it! The handcrafted burger was everything it needed to be! No complaints about it. The fries were soggy but hot. I would've liked it more if the fries were a bit more crispy. The lemon basil crush was THE BEST. It was so refreshing and sweet (not overbearing). I can't wait to come back to try the orange crush. I am really disappointed to be lowering my review. Since they opened up the bel air location, the food quality at perry hall has been extremely inconsistent. Sometimes everything is great and other times its a different meal. This has caused us not to visit as often as we did, and we were regulars. This place is so close to me and used to be a go-to spot which is unfortunate. The past few times we came within the past year have been underwhelming. The truffle fries have overpowering garlic flavor, the burger has no flavor, the shrimp portions seem to be getting smaller and the seasoning isn't the same. The drinks and service however haven't changed and are still great, which is why I am giving 2 stars. Happy hour prices have also increased (used to be $1 oysters, $10 burger). Overall, I don't think we will be visiting anymore, not worth the gamble or quality of food. read more

My family and I stopped in for Saturday night dinner. Parking was easy but on busier days it might be difficult to find a spot. We were welcomed warmly and seated immediately after entering. We were surprised that we didn't have a wait because it was prime dining hours on the weekend. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable, offering suggestions for my wife who is frequently unable to decide. Both my son and I had bacon cheeseburgers, my daughter had shrimp and grits and my wife a salmon sandwich. We all enjoyed our meals, service and overall experience. Always a great time here. The manager is incredible, the bartenders are on point, and the food stays consistent. My go-tos: fish tacos, the meatloaf (top tier), salmon, any appetizer, and that spinach salad with blackened chicken--it'll make you want to slap your momma lol. Dropped by the cute little sports bar after a movie--such a great experience! The food was satisfying. The kale salad was a solid 10/10--great texture and balance of ingredients. The fish taco? We came here yesterday evening to celebrate my husband's birthday. I was so happy that Lib's Grill was such a delicious and satisfying meal. We started with local beer and the cheese platter. We both adored the cheese platter that came with cranberries, pistachios, warm toasts, and some A-mazing Bleu cheese that I suspected was Stilton but maybe not? The husband got the chicken schnitzel and I had the pistachio salmon. The salmon was really good and served on a bed of mashed potatoes and squash. The husband loved the corn-flake encrusted schnitzel. We were pretty full by this point but HAD to have dessert. The husband had some kind of warm carmel-y cake with ice cream. I had an amazing circular marriage of peanut butter and chocolate-- I could not eat the whole thing and yet decided I could not face it again the next day. I do have some regret about this. :-) Our server, Sarah, was so kind and attentive! We sat outside on a very warm night but she checked up on us regularly. Went to brunch on Mother's Day. First of all the espresso martini is wonderful. However, the brunch menu seems somewhat limited. The Amalfi French Toast was okay, the bread was too well done (the edges were somewhat burnt) and really didn't have any flavor and also, there was no whipped ricotta with it. My husband ordered the Double XL Breakfast and he didn't receive the French toast so he had to ask for it. What they brought over was one slice of bread torn apart (not even cut, just torn) without any butter or syrup. Right after we received our food, the server asked how everything was before we even took one bite and then never came back to check on us. We've been to Lib's Grill before for both brunch and dinner and it's always been great, but this past brunch left us really disappointed. read more

Earlier this month I had a chance to stop by this place for the first time to celebrate my son's 25th birthday. Our server was quite attentive and even offered her opinions on some of the dishes that we were deciding on. (We should have taken her advice on the jerk chicken bowl). For appetizers we had the fried oysters, and fish tacos. Absolutely delicious! Only wish there were more . We ordered: a seafood flatbread, several crab cake platters, several braveheart burgers, a pistachio carbonara pasta and the jerk chicken bowl. Everything was on point with the exception of the jerk chicken bowl. It was very bland and did not have any of the spice or kick that we would have expected from a jerk chicken dish. The crab cakes were good without a lot of filler. The burgers were hefty, and the pasta was homemade and the sauce was delicious. It just needed a little more seasoning. The portions were sizeable and everyone was too stuffed to get dessert. Nonetheless, they capped off the night with a nice butter cake with ice cream for my son's birthday. I was visiting my brother-in law with my family, who lives in Perry Hall Maryland. We were at his place for a family get together to honor my wife's dad, who isn't with us anymore. So my brother in-law walked us all over to Lib's Grill, which is walking distance from his house. The first thing I noticed was the decor which was all did up for the Christmas Season, it was very welcoming and looked great. We went to Lib's grill for some drinks and to catch up with one another, it was a great gathering with love ones. The staff was very friendly and were very attentive to our groups needs, they were on point especially when my brother in-law spilled his beer they were right on top of the clean up, they were amazing. I bet their food is top notch, my family will have to try the food the next time we visit which we will. Lib's never disappoints--the food is always great and the service is super friendly. I'm a big fan of the new enclosed patio too, especially since the inside can be dimly lit. I usually go for the steak frites or the french dip grilled cheese, and always get the duck fat rosemary fries on the side. The portions are solid and everything tastes great. A+ The various ingredients allowed for a wonderfully textured salad. * Sweet Chili Buffalo Glazed Edamame. A+ The sauce and fresh edamame was a big hit. Not too spicy and not too sweet. * PAN SEARED ROCKFISH pan seared rockfish, potato hash, clams & bacon broth, parsley oil, red chili flakes. C The fish was drier and less seasoned than I preferred. I let it sit in the bacon broth to moisten a bit. It helped but it could have been better. * PISTACHIO & PEPITA CRUSTED SALMON whipped potatoes, garlic spinach, coconut ginger butternut squash purée. A- The salmon was cooked very well. When you pair the savory salmon with the sweet butternut squash...magic. * Heath bar bread pudding A+ This bread pudding was unmatched. If youre going to eat the fat, sugar, and calories, do it right. Lol. This should be your order. * Pistachio Tirimisu. This aint it. Order something else. The food portions were nice sizes. We didnt finish everything so we took home leftovers. We were pleasantly surprised how good the food was the next day. Our highlight was our server. A friend has been recommending I try this place for a while so I finally decided to see what it was about. The restaurant was festively decorated from the holidays and already full of people for an early weeknight dinner. There was a holiday cocktail menu I ordered from - first a Mistletoe Tini (quite strong but good!) and second a Mele Kalikimaka (went down smoothly and wasn't too sweet). Both drinks were quite good. For food, I ordered the LGO Oysters, a fish taco, and Brussels sprouts from their happy hour menu. The fish taco was A-mazing so I had to order a couple more. I loved the drizzled spicy aioli and the fish was so crispy - just so good! I love Brussels sprouts and unfortunately, theirs fell really short for me. It was burnt to a crisp and was way too salty. I only ate a few before I stopped and couldn't finish it. I also decided to order the Short Rib Rigatoni as a main entree. There was plenty of braised meat and I liked the touch of basil. It was quite good and I could only get a few bites in before I put the rest in a to go box. The bartender was friendly and staff seemed alright. Food and drinks overall were good. Libs Grill is definitely one of our go to places. The bartenders that work there make the place so warm and inviting that I would rather sit at the bar sometimes even if I'm not ordering a drink. Andy, MJ and Vic always provide top-notch service. make recommendations on what food pairs well with what wines, inform me of new specials that might be going on or new items on the food menu. Chef B, and some of the other young gentleman who shuck the oysters do a fantastic job you can really tell that they take great pride in presenting a plate That looks great, Tastes great and is done in a manner that's not going to get you sick. Tracey, who is a server in the dining room is also a delight if we come in with a party that's more comfortable at a table. The young men and young ladies who host are also very kind and courteous I see them open doors for people and greet them and make sure that nobody's standing at the hostess station for too long top-notch staff. We were in recently and I am enjoying all the fresh new additions to the menu for the summer season especially the new tuna dish. I don't see why you would go anywhere else if you wanted a nice comfortable laid-back experience in a bar type atmosphere with top-notch service. I only had one complaint they changed what's being presented on the main television screen behind the oyster area. They used to show you the oysters and their prices and then it would flip through some of the specials that they have going on or seasonal brunches or theme dinners, and now none of that is there anymore. When I would come in, my eyes would always fixate on that TV and I would inform my friends and family via text about things that might interest them since I have a lot of people in my life who are not on social media, so that television screen was our social media for what is going on at Libs. read more

The outdoor seating area was a highlight - covered and heated, making it a pleasant place to enjoy the view of the street. I tried the orange creamsicle martini, which was quite good. We ordered the seafood flatbread, and while it was fine, it didn't really stand out. The oysters, however, were too salty, so we sent them back. The replacement batch was better, though still not exceptional. The service was decent, but the food menu was a bit limited. Overall, the food was okay, but I've definitely had better elsewhere. The place was quite busy, which suggests it has its regulars. While I'd recommend giving it a try if you haven't been, I personally don't think I'd return - it wasn't a bad experience, just not memorable enough to revisit. read more

Had another very nice experience at Lib's. We ate outside on the patio on a nice evening, which was much warmer than the chilly inside. Bring a sweater, but no different than most restaurants. Service was great, and the server was great with my 4 yr old! We got the crab dip, with the lumpiest crab I've seen in crab dip in a LONG time. Def appreciated. Could have used a little more seasoning, but I like a hefty hand on the old bay, so it could be me. The bread was also not my favorite, but did the job. Overall, I'd def get it again! Finally made it back to Lib's and the experience did not disappoint! I'm so happy my husband and I decided to revisit as we wanted someone nice to celebrate our 2nd year of marriage. We called in Saturday afternoon and made reservations for 8pm. We opted for the enclosed patio seating which was so cozy because it was heated. Our waitress Brenna greeted us and she was absolutely amazing! We started the night off with apps and let me tell you, the fish tacos were the best I've ever had! My goodness, absolutely delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his MD crab soup as well. For entrees, I enjoyed the rigatoni a la vodka pasta with smoky beef and my husband enjoyed the grilled pork chop with mashed potatoes and green beans. He went on and on about how good the Demi glacé paired with the pork chop. I also praised my smoky beef rigatoni pasta. You could certainly taste the quality in the preparation of the pasta dough and the beef was so tender. We wrapped up dinner with dessert. We told Brenna earlier in the night that we were celebrating our 2nd anniversary. To our surprise, after we picked dessert, she brought to the table a beautiful hand written display which was so thoughtful of her and the team. We were stuck in traffic on 95 for half an hour and decided we really needed to eat something. So as soon as we can get off, we did and found Lib's grill. We had no idea what to expect, but it was more than delightful upon entering. Whomever decorated for the holidays obviously had fun! The restaurant was adorable. On to the food. Just wow. The food was at a level. You wouldn't expect in a place as un assuming as Libs. Everything we had was creative and exceptionally delicious. Our server Aga was amazing as well.
