I am really disappointed to be lowering my review. Since they opened up the bel air location, the food quality at perry hall has been extremely inconsistent. Sometimes everything is great and other times its a different meal. This has caused us not to visit as often as we did, and we were regulars. This place is so close to me and used to be a go-to spot which is unfortunate. The past few times we came within the past year have been underwhelming. The truffle fries have overpowering garlic flavor, the burger has no flavor, the shrimp portions seem to be getting smaller and the seasoning isn't the same. The drinks and service however haven't changed and are still great, which is why I am giving 2 stars. Happy hour prices have also increased (used to be $1 oysters, $10 burger). Overall, I don't think we will be visiting anymore, not worth the gamble or quality of food.

My family and I stopped in for Saturday night dinner. Parking was easy but on busier days it might be difficult to find a spot. We were welcomed warmly and seated immediately after entering. We were surprised that we didn't have a wait because it was prime dining hours on the weekend. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable, offering suggestions for my wife who is frequently unable to decide. Both my son and I had bacon cheeseburgers, my daughter had shrimp and grits and my wife a salmon sandwich. We all enjoyed our meals, service and overall experience. The restaurant was medium sized and likely gets crowded at times. The bar area is separate from the dining area which is nice when dining with family. The restaurant was clean and seemed modern. We'll definitely be going back.

I've been going to Libs for yearsssss . One of my favorite restaurant . Every time I go , I always always get this for dessert . It's the best dessert in my opinion on the menu . The food also is amazing . Couple of my favorites are ; the fish tacos , and the truffle fries . They offer brunch , happy hour , lunch and dinner . Also have late night bites on certain days . Service is always great. Make sure you make a reservation . They also take walks in

Lib's grill wasn't noisy on a Tuesday for happy hour. It was easy to hear and have conversation. I love how there were sports games on the tv but also trivia for the people who aren't into sports! Service was great. The woman and man running the bar were excellent in getting our drink and food orders. They work very well together. The raw oysters were good. The size of them wasn't consistent and they didn't come with Tabasco sauce which was surprising. It does come with the horse radish, lemon wedges, cocktail sauce, and mignonette sauce. Turns out, I really liked the mignonette sauce and it was my first time trying it! The handcrafted burger was everything it needed to be! No complaints about it. The fries were soggy but hot. I would've liked it more if the fries were a bit more crispy. The lemon basil crush was THE BEST. It was so refreshing and sweet (not overbearing). I can't wait to come back to try the orange crush. This place can be on the pricier side but going to happy hour made it worth it to me. Would come back with friends for a quick bite and chat.

I had a nice dinner celebrating a loved one's anniversary at Lib's Grill! The staff were friendly and welcoming, service was smooth. We sat in the heated tented area, it was relaxing, at some point the lights were dimmed and changed to blue and green. It changed the vibe a bit more club-y which wasn't exactly what we were looking for for a family dinner. Nonetheless, the food was delicious. I really enjoyed the tortilla salad, it was refreshing!! I also tried the goat cheese creme brulee. The top was very cold, I was a bit surprised for an appetizer being torched at the top, but the goat cheese with walnuts complimented well with the small toasted breads.

Obsessed with the fish taco and kale salad

Dropped by the cute little sports bar after a movie--such a great experience! The food was satisfying. The kale salad was a solid 10/10--great texture and balance of ingredients. The fish taco? A total 12/10! Super crispy and flavorful. If I were watching a game, I definitely would've ordered more! For entrées, my friend and I had the salmon and swordfish. Both were over 8.5/10--delicious, though not mind-blowing, but the portions were very generous and filling. The vibe was cozy with a retro touch. Service was generally nice, though it did vary a bit depending on the server. Overall, I really adore this neighborhood bar. It's definitely a spot I'd come back to--perfect for a date night or just a chill evening with friends

I came here for a lunch date with my husband. The food was great, the service was amazing, staff was so friendly. My husband's phone was dying and they put it on the charger for him. The lemon drop was tasty and the right amount of alcohol. This was my first time having oysters and I loved them. I have been craving them ever since. We will be back to try other items on the menu.

Pistachio encrusted salmon on a bed of greens, mashed potatoes, and squash.

We came here yesterday evening to celebrate my husband's birthday. I was so happy that Lib's Grill was such a delicious and satisfying meal. We started with local beer and the cheese platter. We both adored the cheese platter that came with cranberries, pistachios, warm toasts, and some A-mazing Bleu cheese that I suspected was Stilton but maybe not? The husband got the chicken schnitzel and I had the pistachio salmon. The salmon was really good and served on a bed of mashed potatoes and squash. The husband loved the corn-flake encrusted schnitzel. We were pretty full by this point but HAD to have dessert. The husband had some kind of warm carmel-y cake with ice cream. I had an amazing circular marriage of peanut butter and chocolate-- I could not eat the whole thing and yet decided I could not face it again the next day. I do have some regret about this. :-) Our server, Sarah, was so kind and attentive! We sat outside on a very warm night but she checked up on us regularly. I am looking forward to returning to Lib's Grill in Perry Hall-- there is still a lot on their menu to explore.

Totally love the new fall menu. And looking very forward to fall fun and the best time of year to visit Libs Grill... Christmas. If you think Hampden looks cool on 34th St., you need to check out Libs Grill in Perry Hall because they pull out all the stops. The videos and pics that I'm going to share are from 2024 right after Thanksgiving and they weren't even done decorating yet. This was just their initial decorations.

Butter cake with vanilla ice cream

Earlier this month I had a chance to stop by this place for the first time to celebrate my son's 25th birthday. Our server was quite attentive and even offered her opinions on some of the dishes that we were deciding on. (We should have taken her advice on the jerk chicken bowl). For appetizers we had the fried oysters, and fish tacos. Absolutely delicious! Only wish there were more . We ordered: a seafood flatbread, several crab cake platters, several braveheart burgers, a pistachio carbonara pasta and the jerk chicken bowl. Everything was on point with the exception of the jerk chicken bowl. It was very bland and did not have any of the spice or kick that we would have expected from a jerk chicken dish. The crab cakes were good without a lot of filler. The burgers were hefty, and the pasta was homemade and the sauce was delicious. It just needed a little more seasoning. The portions were sizeable and everyone was too stuffed to get dessert. Nonetheless, they capped off the night with a nice butter cake with ice cream for my son's birthday. Would definitely come back again to try some other menu items.

The Ambiance is Great decorated for Christmas and looks great. So I ordered appetizer the shrimp and crab dip. The shrimp were amazing cooked perfectly great flavor. Not sure on the crab dip never showed up. I ordered the filet with fries and a salad. So the order got messed up meaning the steak was suppose to have onions and mushrooms came out with neither. So the manager came over and offered to take meal off plus gave me the up grade steak the Wagyu it was very good. The manager went all out to ensure we were satisfied. Over all I recommend if in the area .

There was also live music, which added a really nice touch to the experience. Taste: We ordered the crab cake sandwich and a rack of ribs with fries. The crab cake sandwich was definitely the standout, packed with big chunks of crab and topped with a delicious sauce. The ribs were flavorful and cooked well, though they weren't quite falling off the bone. The fries were fresh and really good. We also got a side of mac and cheese, which unfortunately was the weakest part of the meal. It was very runny and could have benefited from being more baked. Ambiance: The live music created a fun and relaxed atmosphere. It seems like a great place to hang out, especially during the summer when the vibe would probably be even better. Overall Review: The Local was a solid dining experience with attentive service, good food, and a nice atmosphere. While the mac and cheese missed the mark, the crab cake sandwich alone makes it worth coming back for. Prices were reasonable as well. I'd definitely return, especially in the summertime.

On the plus side my family enjoyed the ribs and crab balls. On the negative side, the fish in my fish and chips was painfully thin and small. Normally you get a nice chunky piece of fish when you get fish and chips. Not only that, l've never had fish and chips where the skin was on the fish. I left most of the skin behind, but ate some of it because the portion was so small. I had to eat something. Please have the chef look up what fish and chips is supposed to look like. Despite being the only server, our wait person was outstanding - it wasn't their fault that they had to handle the entire dining room. . Also appreciated the carafe of water on the table - but why no ice -had to drink lukewarm water. Make sure to ask for prices upfront and verify-for a single crabcake entrée, we paid $63 when it's advertised online as 30. Let the buyer beware.. Wouldn't feel a need to return at this point, too many other better options.

We had family come in from out of town, and this experience did the complete opposite of what it should have. It was unsettling and honestly embarrassing. Our waiter, Xavier, was completely off. He kept forgetting our order, and we were sitting there waiting 10 to 20 minutes at a time for simple things we already asked for. That happened more than once. That's not okay. On top of that, the food came out cold. So now we're already dealing with long waits and cold food? It just kept getting worse. And the attitude? Not good. I don't know what was going on with him, but the energy was off the whole time. Customer service matters, and this wasn't it. Then came the bill. We were told everything had to be on one receipt and one card. Absolutely not. When we asked to split it, instead of making it easy, he made it complicated for no reason. That's basic service, and it should not be an issue. And somehow a 20 percent gratuity was added for everyone? For what? That level of service did not earn that. Overall, this experience was frustrating from start to finish. Long waits, cold food, poor service, and unnecessary hassle at the end. My daughter's birthday dinner should have been a good memory, and instead it was a disappointment. Management needs to address this immediately. This is not a small issue, this is a complete breakdown in service, especially for a special occasion. I expect a direct response, not a generic apology, but accountability and a clear explanation of how this is going to be corrected. No one should have to experience this, especially when they are celebrating something important.
