Nothing to write home about This is an Applebees of the east coast. Devil eggs, hotdogs and burgers with a twist. Aside from the over-bae'd crab soup and the pulled beef hotdog, this place has the classic east coastal options and some infused mix cocktails that can carve out any trendy nightscape of an evening for a dinner date. The atmosphere is inviting, the place is clean and well kept, bathrooms were clean and the food was hot and well prepared, plated and presented. A lot of opinions, some that don't belong (in my opinion) such as the: fish tacos, tuna nachos. Word for a burger/steak/seafood place but, they did good muscles (the bourbon red pepper sauce was okay) if you like the classic butter and garlic this may be a turn off. The goat brûlée was well prepared and very good. The service was great. Accommodating on time, patient and followed up on table touches and meal satisfaction. Not overly loud. No outrageous music or eccentric ambiance to try to accommodate the Democratic or age which was nice. Good drink choices and holiday choices. Hey Guys! I have say something! If you missed Libs Grill, than you missed toooo much things!!! Fried Oysters (11$) and Tuna Nachos was aaaaaaamiziiing! OMG! You have to come and try for sure! The waitresses are was veeeery nice! The guy with beard and that short lady who recommended to me fig liquor mule which was out of stock:) and that second mule that asian one! Steamed Edamame and flatbread (steak) was also very nice! By the way flat bread is very similar to "pide" in Turkey! When you have time please check "kavurmali kaşarlı pide" you will love it! We got fairly quick service, and although the waitress was going through motions, she was on the ball. The manager (I think she is) also helped out by bringing a dish and ringing us out. Again I got salad this time with grilled chicken. It was not superb, but solidly good. Hubby got a seasonal sandwich called The Gobbler, which he liked. The pretzel bun was a great touch. Fries were pretty good. We stayed away from the Brussels sprouts as they were really salty last time. They are very festive for the holidays. We went for lunch at Lib's Grill and I ordered three things. The first was the Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Wow, was I totally totally disappointed and a little bit disgusted with the way they came to the table. There were maybe four or five halves, surrounded by about 30 burnt up black leaves of the brussels sprouts, with some other small ingredients and everything was drenched in a ton oil. It seems as if I got the bottom of the barrel and I know what roasted brussels sprouts look like and there are dark leaves, but these were disgusting and as I said, barely enough brussels sprout pieces. I didn't return it because I was with six other women. I didn't want to embarrass the server or make anyone feel uncomfortable. It was just truly horrible and they need to make an adjustment on that particular dish. I also had a kale Caesar Salad which was really good & a burger, which was good. read more

One of my go-to local spots that never disappoints! Service is always fantastic, tonight we had Maggie and she was great! My favorite thing to do here is order a bunch of appetizers to split between the table and fill up on those as a meal. Some of my usual favorites are the Buffalo Tenders and the Crab Dip. Came here for Happy Hour on a Wednesday evening after a long search for local spots offering oyster specials! $1 buck-a-shuck, WOOHOO! Lib's Grill has a devout following, and I've been meaning to try them out for a long while. I also believe they even have another location in MD. The restaurant is split in half-- bar area & a sit-down section. The entire bar area, including its high-top tables are open for Happy Hour specials, and I was super surprised. The HH menu is limited, but I think there's a wide enough selection where anyone could find something they'd like. We ended up ordering a dozen of the LGO oysters (their own kind!), Brussel Sprouts, 3 fish tacos, the short rib poutine, and the burger. We thought the portions would be smaller since the prices were lower and HH portions usually are-- we were completely wrong. Everything was full-sized, and we had WAYYY over ordered. By the time we were through the oysters, 1/2 the poutine, and the brussels, we were completely full and barely touched our tacos or burger (which also came with fries). We packed the rest to go! We also had some of their draught beers, and the peach mule without the syrup (super glad the server was able to lessen the sweetness for us!). All the food was tasty, in the most pleasantly surprising way. We were thoroughly impressed and would love to come here again. The service was also impeccable, even though every table was taken. We were amazed by how quickly they serviced us, but it never felt like we were being rushed or forced to leave. While still one of the better restaurants in the area, I feel as if Libs has stopped trying. They are poorly managed as I never see a manager engaged on the floor. New Years Day, they had one waitress working the entire floor and it was impossible for her to keep up. She had a food runner assisting but he was nothing more than a dirty busser dropping food off at table. For the prices, you need to provide better service. Food temps varied too much and I feel as if it either died in the window or was microwaved. If I had to choose, I would pick The Local around the corner as this place is now concerned with giving the bare minimum when it comes to quality of overall product. The issue is the management. They seem to like the title and not wearing a uniform like everyone else...but they don't seem to be interested in working. read more

I held a private event at LIb's Grill Perry Hall and I can't say enough good things about the food and service. 1 Restaurant, 2 Visits, Within 1 Week !! 1'3'2021 Brunch Visit A brunch visit to a highly recommended establishment. It was a 45 minute hike but well worth it. My Hunny and I visited this place Sunday before last for brunch due to a family friend visiting the day before and raving about it. It was very easy to find with the help of my GPS, plenty of parking and nice curb appeal. They still had up their holiday décor so that made it more festive and warming to visit. The hostess (Maddy) was very kind, greeted us as soon as we entered and located a table for us to sit. Soon after we sat, our table person (Greg) came over to assist us with beverages menus, etc. We came in with food and beverage recommendations but there were so many other items that we did a little of both. We started by ordering the Asian Brussels and they were so so good. I highly recommend!! We did get the chicken waffles as recommended but we went off the radar little bit with steak and eggs, and added delicious holiday drinks. I requested my chicken and waffles not have the hot sauce on top of it and altered the taste severely. My husband loved them. He ordered the steak and eggs and loved them as well. His dish came w tater tots, I ate 95% of them. They were so good and crispy. As for beverages, hubby ordered the Christmaspolitan and I ordered the On Dasher. He raved about his drink. My drink was very interesting and very good. The bartender was right on w these drinks. Oh, did I mention, while we were seated before receiving food, we received a nice table visit from Maddy as well as after feasting we received a table visit from one of the store managers named Adam. All 3 store representatives (Maddy, Greg and Adam) that I interacted with were awesome! Maddy super sweet, Greg and Adam were very pleasant, knowledgeable about the establishment, history and recommendations. We were so full already but made room to finish this yumminess. We were thankful for the visits to our table on this day as well as the stellar customer service provided. We felt like VIP members. Hubby is already making plans to visit again for dinner!! Haha 1'9'2021 6 days later. We're back for dinner. This place was quite busy. We were quoted a 45 minute wait but thankfully it turned into a 15 minute wait. Our table person Anna was great! Fantastic personality, efficient and super quick w return of requested menu items, etc. We ordered Blackened Mini Crab Cakes (Appetizer) and Soup Du Jour - Spicy Chicken & Sausage as appetizers. For entrees I really wanted to try to pork chop as previously recommended but flipped the script when it was time to order. I ordered the Pan Roasted Chicken w Mushroom Ravioli and Asparagus. Hubby ordered NY Strip (12oz) w Whipped Potatoes and Asparagus. Our appetizers were fantastic! The mini Crab Cakes sat in a delicious remoulade sauce and my soup was the perfect blend of flavor and spices. Generous portions. Per my usual I altered my pan seared chicken by swapping a side and omitting the cheese and pasta sauce. It was so flavorful. Chicken prepared just right. It was tender and moist. Hubby was sold on his NY Strip and sides leaving no evidence upon completion. We enjoyed our 2nd visit at Libs Grille and look forward to visiting one of their sister locations next. read more

Two words... HAPPY HOUR! They have thee best Happy Hour for miles. The HH food and drink menus are expansive. They even offer late night HH; which is an added bonus. I LOVE their Fish Tacos! It's just about the only item I purchase, whether for Happy Hour or dinner. The fish is huge, perfectly fried,seasoned, and tender. The cabbage and Sriracha aioli are the perfect accompaniment to the tacos. On this particular visit I tried the Tito's Pineapple Martini and Açaí Blueberry Crush, both decent drinks-especially for the price. I visited early on a Friday and the bar area wasn't yet packed but I will warn you, this place gets packed! So make reservations if dining in or get there as early as you can for a seat at the bar. The food on this visit was kind of mediocre which was surprising because I've been here a year ago and the food was really good. The Caesar salad was really dry, the chicken I added on really didn't have that much flavor. The crab dip had a weird smell and it was a little too creamy, I would've loved the bread to be toasted. The deviled eggs really didn't have that much seasoning on them or mixed in so they were kind of bland as well. After some Months of takeout we were ready for a dine-in experience and Lib's didn't disappoint. They're at 50% seating capacity & we had a 6:00 o'clock dinner reservation on a Wednesday. We've been here a few times before and the service and food were as good as our previous visits. We ordered a couple of apps. Short Rib Poutine-tasty and great for sharing. The Crab Dip Baked Oysters we're overflowing with Dip and enjoyed by all. Baby Kale Salad was fresh and we were able to split a couple of salads which were just the right size as a side. For main, we ordered some sandwiches and flatbread. Baltimore Club was stacked with crab cake & shrimp salad. BBQ Bacon Fried Chicken and Seafood Flatbread were also tasty. Finished with a couple of slices of the Reese's Cheesecake that had the perfect balance of chocolate & PB flavors. No regrets for choosing Lib's as our first Dine-in experience in months. Lib's Grill continues to impress during our new COVID-19 reality. Curbside carry-out is available and the food runner will be dressed up in some kind of costume which is fun. They are trying to make their carryout an experience which is a great idea, esp if you have kiddos in tow. I was impressed that the food runner wore gloves to deliver the food; not everywhere does that and I think they should. I also appreciated that I could pay and tip over the phone so all I have to do is take my bag and go. My carryout dinner was perfect. I enjoy their crunchy fish taco appetizer as an entree, and I ordered a side of truffle fries as well. An order of their MD crab soup and the rest of those fries were a great lunch the next day too. The soup is loaded w veggies and big lumps of crabmeat. Make sure to call Lib's to place your order for a near contactless transaction. The food is definitely overpriced, but most restaurants are these days, and there's not a lot of other restaurants in the area that are worth spending the money at. Busy place, lots of dining, service was good. Only down side was I wish I knew they only had brunch at this time so almost nothing from the grill. Shrimp and Grits App: 5/5 well done. It was huge though. Espresso rubbed steak: 1/5 now this was the real bummer. Most expensive dish and it was honestly a disappointment. Despite a medium rare cook; the steak was too chewy at parts that you literally just end up with steak pulp and yoj can't swallow it. Not sure what I expected from espresso rubbed flavor wise but it had a kick of bitterness that wasn't too pleasing to the palate. Overall just not worth it at all and what really brings down the rating. Crab cake Benedict: 4/5 solid Benedict. Nice amount of juicy sweet crab cake. Eggs could have been slightly more runny. The sauce was ok; little bit more on the tangy side than I would like. Overall: Decent place, would have really love to try their lunch/dinner menu some items off the grill. The drinks were refreshing and full of flavor. Dinner was beautiful and very tasty.
