So if you're looking for a late night happy hour (menu in photos) with great prices on bar food, this is the way to go. I love sitting at the bar as you get faster service. They have R&B and HipHop songs playing throughout the night. Hazelwood also has a restaurant side as well for a more intimate setting for other days.

Local and popular spot. It's a little divey but very homey. They had music playing and it was a VIBE. Drinks are affordable and the food was delicious. They also automatically add 15% gratuity to all bills. Love that because it takes the stress away of calculating a tip at the end. I went during happy hour which is very long and last until 7pm WOW! I didn't drink but my 2 friends did and they reported the drinks were not only made well but a little on the strong side ( we love that ). There were several bartenders, our bartender she was an older woman & some customers complained about her "attitude" but I loved her. She was direct, got to the point, gave you everything you needed to know upfront & was NOT with the funny business. I can respect that. They also have several specials that occur, today's special was $25 6 small crabs with shrimp and corn. Ofc we ordered that! We also ordered their southwest egg rolls, crab dip and tenders. Might I say the crab dip was crabbing! We love good portions. The food coming out was an average wait time. I had a really great time, staff I wouldn't say was nice or mean just direct and doing their job BUT respectful. It was packed, a little loud but once it was time for Thursday night football, the music was turned down so you can tune in! They had so many TV's all over that it was nearly impossible to miss the action. I do wish they had close captions on because I am hard of hearing so although the music was turned off, since it was packed I couldn't really hear what was going occurring in the game. Would definitely be revisiting in the future, has the potential of becoming a regular spot for me .

Hazelwood is always a good choice for great food options and reasonable prices. The shots look like doubles! They also have a great happy hour menu as well.

Awesome as usual. Got there a little after opening at 11am. Place was clean and welcoming. I was the first customer on the bar side. Lol. My bartender was friendly and attentive. Please forgive me for not remembering his name. I ordered from the happy house menu lamb chops and mashed potatoes and coconut shrimp. It was delicious. Potatoes was lacking a little because it had some lumps. Coconut shrimp and lamb chops were good as usual. My drinks were tequila sunrise, melon martini and amaretto sour. None of the drinks disappointed. I was in and out and back home by 1pm. Truly a nice early morning outing. Music was nice and not too turned up. This place is always my go to.

We love to support local restaurants, and this was recommended by a friend. It has a great location with a big parking lot. The building was huge, housing a bar-which had very loud music - a liquor store, and the restaurant. For the bar, curiosity drove me to just take a look, and that was plenty. For lunch, it was about a 5 min wait b/c the greeter was busy with other tasks. It was a sit anywhere you like, the chairs were upholstered and the restaurant has lots of real wood, and murals creating a historical atmosphere. We both ordered the crab cake special $19.99, 1 fried, and 1 broiled. This comes with 2 sides-anything priced at $3.99, or an upcharge for anything above that amount. I opted for onion rings, an upcharge of $0.50. They came out overcooked, just about burned. They were ok, not special-I probably won't order them in the future. The star of this meal was the crab cakes. They were phenomenal, cooked both ways, and the size of your fist. Very little filler and either lump with a few pieces of jumbo lump, seasoned perfectly. The basket of warm, crusty bread was appreciated. For the second side, we both ordered French fries. They use the coated ones. Portions are generous. They have weekly specials, and you can get a sirloin steak with 2 sides for under $20.00. They do offer a senior discount on Monday and Tuesday, but it can not be applied to the specials. On each table top is a note stating an 18% tip will be applied to all purchases. For some unknown reason, it was not tacked onto our bill. There is a small area for outside seating.

Went here with my coworker. First time coming here to eat and I live right around the corner from here. I see why the parking lot is always crowded. The waitress was so nice and informative about what to order. I ordered the stuff catfish Cajun style with grilled broccoli and French fries. That grilled broccoli was a hit. The stuffed catfish was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My coworker ordered the stuffed salmon and she said hers was superb. I'll definitely be back sooner rather than later. What a hidden gem.

Absolutely an IYKYK type of place. Very direct service with a straight face. Not at all a Complaint. I would rather that than over the type checking in. The food is absolutely the star of the show including the sangria that you can buy to take home with you. Our lunch party tried all three and the strawberry peach was the winner for me but they are all good. If you don't want to sit on the cozy inside there is a to-go area where you can order food to go. I ordered the crab cake sandwich and got mad at the bread for trying to take away attention from the crab cake. The crab cake itself has minimal filler and seasoned very well. The only down side is that I don't like closer to this place.

My sister and myself stopped in on a whim because we were craving crabcakes. I'm so glad we did!! The food and service was outstanding!! Our server, Diamond, greeted us with professionalism and took our order for cream of crab soup. 5 minutes later, we were both moaning after every spoonful we swallowed!!! It was seasoned to perfection with little lumps of crab!! And the warm sliced baguette bread made it even more tasty!! Since we knew that we were going to order crabcakes, we asked Diamond for recommendations for the 2 sides, which were included with the meal. I chose the grilled broccoli and mashed potatoes with beef gravy on the side. My sister actually ordered the broiled crabcake with prime rib and Mac n cheese!! Everything was sinfully delicious Sending a special shout out to the chef! 10 out of 10!! Highly recommended!

We gathered here for a holiday marriage proposal. It seemed this venue was half restaurant half club. When we were walking in from the parking lot there was just a ton of music and commotion coming from one side of the building. Our waitress for the party, seemed to be a bit overwhelmed. It took her a very long time to get our drink orders and then we had to wait for her to show up again to order food. But when the food finally arrived, it was good. The crab cake was moist and loaded with meat. The grilled broccoli was delicious and my peach sangria was as well. Also, affordable. This place may be better suited for a quick stop in for lunch or dinner if you're not having high expectations.

Always a nice time coming to the Hazelwood. This time was for a Christmas fellowship with the choir from my church. Wasn't able to book the private room but we were able to be seated in an area that was comfortable enough for all of us. I believe there was only one waitress for the 15 of us but she didn't seemed frazzled or out of sorts. Things went pretty smoothly and when the food came out, the manager came out to help pass out the food. I started with the cream of crab soup. Besides a few pieces of shell (big pieces), it was pretty good. Had a good amount of crab in the soup. Entree was a large shrimp Caesar salad. Had to take the tail shell off the shrimp. I don't understand why restaurants to that. Why take the whole shell off and just stop at the tail. The shrimp was a good sized portion to go with the large salad. A few of the people I was with didn't really enjoy their food. Crab cakes were too dry and the chicken scampi was a little tasteless. I didn't have any issues but I know what to stay away from next time I go.

I had to stick in air fryer to get them warmed up. The coleslaw which on previous visits was good lacked any flavor besides mayonnaise. My poor wife cracked down on a sharp pointy shell in her crab cake. Needless to say we were both disappointed and still hungry. I'm not sure what happened but we won't be going back anytime soon. I will patron this establishment again. I feel the management was not prepared for the magnitude of business in which they received on this day. There wasn't a lot of staff to handle the heavy workload of customers. When I walked in I was told 30 mins wait time in which I was seated right around that time frame. However there were a lot of angry customers because of the disorganization of the establishment. My waiter "Princess" was amazing! She was over worked but maintained her composure and attentiveness. The atmosphere was starting to read a little ghetto and very disorganized. There was only 2-3 waiters on such a busy day and the management was the host as he greeted customers , answered a busy phone line , took care of pick up orders and seat patrons. Where he messed up, was tryint to be several people at one time. He needed help badly, as other people were being seated before others that were waiting longer, ect. My food did not have a long wait time after i placed my order and the flavors and quality of the food was sooooo good !! Another tip, they are BYOB(bring your own bottle) so if you want a drink you can bring it in with you. I thought that was cool, but me personally when I go to restaurants and eat inside, I like ordering drinks at the bar. They have a bar area but no alcohol there. Maybe the goal is to open a bar but they need a liquor store license? (Idk). All in all, I would not probably eat in again, but I will come back and get a to go order because as I said the food itself was amazing!

She got the mild lemon pepper flavor and I got the mild garlic butter. Everything came out nice and hot and seasoned well. My goddaughter said the mussels were a bit on the salty side but everything else was good! It was a slow crowd so it was a chill vibe which I appreciated. Koya checked on us regularly and answered any questions that we had. They had the college basketball games (March Madness) on the TV's which added to the experience. It's BYOB which I will keep in mind for future visits as I plan to definitely return:)

It's in a convenient location in the Putty Hill Plaza. It is housed in the former Peking House restaurant. I made a call to put my order in. The woman over the phone told me that it would be ten minutes. When I arrived, it was ready for me. The meal comes with two sauces, cocktail & tartar sauce, along with salt, pepper and ketchup. When I took a bite of the catfish, words couldn't describe how crispy and delicious this fish was. So light and flavorful! The shrimp were as tasty as the first time, even more so that I ate them hot. The fries were perfectly seasoned. So, so perfect. They give you perfect portions, as well! This is definitely my favorite thing on the menu. I turned my sister and mom onto them and they both agreed on how awesome the fish and shrimp box was! Now for my third trip, I had a taste for hibachi and remembered that Juicy King had a hibachi menu. I decided upon the shrimp, chicken and steak. I believe it was about 30 dollars. It was pretty good BUT not as good as another restaurant (that I won't name out of respect), that makes a similar dish. However, it wasn't bad, and the ingredients were fresh. The restaurant isn't fancy, but it is clean and nice enough to sit down for lunch or dinner. I'm getting hungry thinking about their fish and shrimp right now! You will not be sorry. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is spacious, spotless, and has a welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for families, date nights, or large groups. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly, and our server, Talia, was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. Now... let's talk about the food. We started with the hush puppies, which came out hot, fresh, and had the perfect hint of sweetness. They were a great way to kick off the meal. The fried green tomatoes almost stole the show. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and topped with sweet, tender jumbo lump crab meat....they were absolutely phenomenal and a must-order. The Conrad Soup was another standout. Rich, creamy, hearty, and packed with flavor. It tasted homemade in the best way possible. I also have to give a shoutout to the personal pitcher of sweet tea. As someone who appreciates good sweet tea, it's surprisingly hard to find one that's actually done right. Conrad's nailed it. But the undeniable star of the meal was the steamed blue crabs. I called ahead to reserve 12 large male crabs, which I highly recommend doing if you're planning a visit. Every single crab was perfectly steamed, generously seasoned, and absolutely loaded with sweet, tender meat. They were some of the best steamed crabs I've had in a long time. We purposely came early for lunch so we could take our time, and I'm so glad we did because this was an experience worth savoring. Conrad's exceeded every expectation I had. Between the outstanding service, incredible food, and relaxed atmosphere, I already know I'll be making the drive back. If you're a Maryland crab lover, this place deserves a spot at the top of your list. 10/10!! I'll definitely be back!
