Seahorse is a bar/restaurant combo in Dundalk that feels very home-like. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they get the orders right. The boneless wings are quite tasty with a variety of flavors available. I enjoyed the General Tso's sauce. The fried pickles were ok, just spear type isn't my jam. They don't salt the fries, so hit them before you roll with your takeout order, or have salt ready when you land. Parking seems iffy, but wasn't a problem since I was on foot anyway. We love to visit this waterfront tiki bar year round for the food, the view and the friendly staff. The indoor area has a very large bar and tables that ring the bar. It's a great place to watch a game since there are lots of TVs that surround you. The place has a laid back, relaxed atmosphere with a nautical themed decor where the regulars are super friendly. There are daily food and drink specials which are VERY affordable and tasty. We visited on a Friday night in early April. Three of us sat out on the tiki deck (which is kept warm and dry by the clear plastic "walls") and were immediately approached by the friendly server. The outdoor tiki bar was closed which was OK with us because it seems like the service can be slower if the bar maid there is doing the double duty of making drinks and being the server. The food was spot on that evening. My husband got his favorite sandwich: the seafood club. This mountain sized sandwich comes packed with a 3 oz crab cake, shrimp salad and bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomato. My twin sister and I both chose the pound of steamed shrimp accompanied by onions and potatoes IYKYK. The shrimp were large and steamed with Old Bay to perfection! A round of orange crushes were a refreshing compliment to our meals. If you enjoy open air waterfront dining, the Seahorse Inn is a great place to watch the sunset over the peaceful Bear Creek. Went here for an after work happy hour with friends! There was so much seating inside and outside. The restaurant over looks the water so the vibe is so relaxing and laid back! The service was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and attentive. We ordered some appetizers and sandwiches. Some meals were better than others but I'd definitely eat here again. This is a little spot on the water, they usually have slow service since there is generally only one person working the bar. It is on the water but sitting outside means you will be hassled by flies and mosquitos. The last time I was out there I had gotten bit so many times I had to give up and go inside. We sat outside and had to go in for any refills we wanted. The food is very mediocre. Nothing is so good you would have a craving for it. It's just very mediocre bar food. Just had a great lunch with some friends at the Seahorse. One of those get-togethers that makes everyone agree that we should do this more often. I'm docking a star because we chose this spot because it's on the water and we were looking forward to sitting outside, but all the tables on the deck are hightops, which are inaccessible to someone who uses a wheelchair. Another member of our group uses a walker, so I doubt she could have made it up onto the barstool-like seats. So that was disappointing. Food was great though. It took a bit for it to come out, but that's not a complaint from me. I loved having that time to converse with my friends, some of which I hadn't seen in ages. Fried pickles are delightful, especially with that spicy dipping sauce. Gotta love a crowd-pleasing appetizer like that! Music was totally 90s, so my boyfriend and I were digging it. When we walked in there was no one to seat anyone, when we asked the bartender she said sit anywhere. We sat at the enclosed outside area where they had heaters going because there wasn't really anywhere to sit around the bar and no one told us until we were sitting there awhile we wouldn't get served out there. read more

Food is good when you get what you ordered . Long time customer but the service out on the deck is not good. There was one server for all the tables, 2 items we have ordered we not delivered and had to be removed from the check, Soup was cold. I will give it one more try before we don't go back. read more

Don't go, no one wears masks which is a state requirement. Not even the servers were wearing them. They also told us that they are open until 2am now, which also sounds pretty dumb considering we are still in a global pandemic. I'll pass next time and go to Costas Inn. My husband and I went here and the drink was not fixed right at all. We order and my wife ordered soup which never came out. The crab pretzel was terrible. Then when we asked for the check we had to have her take the soup off because we never got it $50.00 and it was not worth it. Will never go back ever read more

The Seahorse is my friends and I go to spot. Everything on the menu is delicious, however, I do agree that the crabcakes are lacking. They have the best wings hands down. The hot honey wings are my favorite. They only cost $1 per wing regularly. The beer and mixed drinks are cheaper than most places. On Sunday's, if the Ravens score a touchdown they give out free shots to anyone sitting at the bar. The service is always great. My food has always been served within a reasonable time. Not much to say about the food because it took 15 minutes just to get a menu, after repeatedly asking, even though there were many empty seats. I frequent this place a lot, and it is a great place to kick back and just have some fun. The food is very good here, and comes in large portions. Try the crab wings (wings with Old Bay) or the taco salad - yummy. It is a local watering hole, but a very friendly atmosphere for everyone. Kids are welcome, but as the evening progresses, best to leave them at home. Really there's not been a pattern to what night of the week is "hopping", just depends on who pops in and what's going on. Some nights are dead, which is fine if you want to kick back, other nights it is jam packed and crazy, which can be fun also! Best advice is to stop back on a few occasions before you really give this place a thumbs up or down. Found this place by accident while driving through the area, but there are lots of reasons you could choose to go here. We ordered a bevy of fried foods, and they were all competently done. Nothing fantastic, but it all came out hot and crisp, and everything was satisfying. The least pleasant were the crab fritters, but I blame myself for ordering crab fritters in the land of crabcakes. Anyway, the overall experience was a very good one, because it's a neighborhood joint by the water with really friendly staff. You know that weird feeling you get when you walk into a place for locals and you think they are all staring at you? Well, since the bar occupies the whole middle part of the restaurant, and since everyone at the bar is a middle aged white guy who looks like he owns an unpretentious boat at the marina but for some reason has time in the middle of a weekday afternoon to hang out at a bar, everyone really IS looking at you when you walk in. But then they just go back to drinking beer and chatting with each other. The momentary tension subsides, and once you are seated, you turn into a local too simply by interacting with the friendly waitress. There are lots of tv screens around with sports and news. Drink specials and shrimp specials on the menu accompany bar type food. The set up looks to me like the place is probably hopping in the evenings during the warm months of the year, since the outdoor deck overlooks the water and the area for patrons spills down the steps into an open space with more chairs. Everything is colorful like in a typical beachside restaurant, though this is really marina side. Further, the bathrooms are spacious, and that says to me that there must be patrons aplenty at night with the lights all aglow and the taps all aflow. I wouldn't make a special trip to go here, but if you happen upon it as we did, order a Natty Boh or a mixed drink, some bar food, and I think you'll find it a nice place to just kick back with the locals. read more

Food is decent but hit or miss. Fun factor the same. Really cool outdoor area to get some sun and breeze. On a nice day. Fridays DJ and Karaoke. Prices won't kill ya. Always had friendly service duringour visits. Plenty big. They used to have horseshoe leagues which I miss but unsure they will continue. The downstairs kind of seems like an overflow area and may or may not have a server down there. There is games downstairs. The Upstairs bathroom is large and clean. So we stand for about 5 minutes, while she walks over and has a conversation with 3 people that are sitting across from where we're standing. She then finishes her conversation and walks away, still acting like she doesn't see us. If I could give 0 stars, I would but thankfully the bartender with the red hair came over and helped us and was very nice. We just started going back to the Sea Horse after a 2 year hiatus. We initially stopped going even though they have good specials a nice atmosphere and decent food because of very poor service. We recently went back and found that the service was improved and still have decent specials. They have bar seating as well as tables around the bar and an outside deck area with tables and chairs and an outside Tiki Bar as well when the weather is nicer. They also have an area for Horseshoes and a pier. On Friday they have a $6 shrimp special for steamed shrimp you can also get potatoes and onions with that the food is very good. We plan to return at least on a weekly basis especially when the weather gets nicer to sit down on the deck by the water. One issue I do have is that they don't ever seem to have enough people working so even though our service has been good the last two times that we came back, I am fearful that as they get busier the service will once again be slower. read more

Definitely a three star restaurant that could be a four. Food is just OK and the crab cakes not particularly good. There are some attractive items on the menu although their daily specials should be considered above all if brought to your attention, which they were not when we were there . The three of us had the tuna filet platter, crab cakes platter and a cheese steak. As mentioned, the crab cakes, although reasonable priced at about $26, were a big disappointment and for this area, you can not afford to serve mediocre crab cakes. My brother enjoyed his ahi tuna steak and sides but the provolone cheese steak was way over salted on an unappetizing roll, and for some reason served upside down- lettuce and tomato under the steak which I could have cared less but for the fact that it was nothing to brag about. On balance, its a great location overlooking Bear Creek, beer and drinks are cheap and the staff is friendly. read more
